did the bullshit and gimmicks thread get pruned? anyways, here's one i have aptly titled "the street fighter 4" 2K 2K dash throw if they get hit by the first 2K, chances are they're instinctively holding downback. then you do another 2K to give yourself a cue and to throw off their reaction (remember, they probably expected you to do a combo of some sort). then you dash and throw and 99% of the time people do not break the throw or punish you the first time you do it. if they guard the first 2K, they're often prepared to have to break or punish a tick throw attempt. if you do another 2K though, it usually throws your opponent off. bonus points if you get why it's called "the street fighter 4"

this this this this realize that there are literally hundreds of thousands of matches in japan every day and that even if they were to upload 100 matches a day on average, you would still only be getting a very small percentage of the actual number of matches being played there. plus, most matches uploaded that aren't part of a tournament are often uploaded because they have something unique to them; a weird setup, a well known player getting wrecked by a random, a player overcoming a bad matchup, etc.

yes and no. turtling is a relatively safe option, the problem is that you can't really just sit there and hope for nu to do something stupid. because quite honestly, there isn't a single situation that she doesn't have an answer for. that, and you're not getting damage in for it; she is. this of course is where your prediction skills come in; if you can get her to guess wrong (like try to 5C you in fear of getting hit by a deep j.C) and punish her (do hotaru/tsubaki/empty jump and ib/whatever instead) then you have a tangible advantage that you're going to have to keep pressing. just remember though; nu has two bursts.

i forgot to mention that you are a god for sticking with that shit i honestly would have just pulled an sjsu gg tourney and stopped early, but i'm not a god now am i

30 or so people for bb: :):) waiting literally three hours between my matches in a loud hot smelly arcade: :mad::mad::mad::mad: this almost makes me miss ct, because this game is

well, otg doesn't necessarily have to start when they're down, but they can only be comboed otg when they're in an otg state (not the same as being knocked down). an example of this is that you can pick people up with guren after a zantetsu and have it combo, but if you knock them down with something like tsubaki, the untech time is too low to be able to combo guren after it. i thought you were talking about 6A/5C as anti air, so i guess disregard doing 5C guren 6C. with 6A though all you have to do is a 6B before guren.
-
guren 6C isn't bad for that
-
uh yeah lol why the fuck else would i publicly announce it furryforthelose

here's my current cs hakumen matchup chart. this is all subject to change as the game evolves. 7-3: rachel 6-4: noel, tager, arakune 5.5-4.5: jin, hazama, carl, taokaka 5-5: ragna, lambda, litchi, bang, tsubaki this is formed from playing the game since december against some of the best players in the country

probably because even dumb smash kids know their own game well enough to know how stuff like that works kinda in the same way how we dumb guilty kids know our own game well enough that we don't really feel the need to explain frc's to each and every person asking about them
-
frc's aren't interactive? pretty sure someone already gave the example of reacting and baiting shit with frc's. but even then, you're ignoring what frc's do for characters' combo potential and knockdown ability. if johnny couldn't frc killer joker, for example, how the hell would he land an enkasu from midscreen? and let's not even get into what it does for meter management, improving execution and reaction skills, etc. and of course, the response i know i'm gonna get for this is "well what if there were auto-frc forcebreaks? wouldn't that achieve the same thing without this oh so terrible input barrier?". and the answer is no, for the sole reason being that having anything auto-frc'd defeats every purpose of frc's to begin with (i'll give you a hint; only one of them is execution).
-
frcs are not even hard spend 20 minutes in training mode, stop being a little bitch and using a macro (they delay by a few frames) and man the fuck up. i played guilty gear on a pad with an iffy right and triangle button for over a year and i was able to frc just about everything without a macro and was able to do just about every johnny combo i wanted to. and to whoever said melee is hard; lol. play some more games, you don't know hard until you've played vf4:e.
-
but no man even daisuke said frcs are a shitty mechanic!!!! (in an uncited interview not on the internet anymore)

2B guren 6C is invalid?
-
about hakumen's 5D; you can combo after it (2B guren 6C) and i'm pretty sure he can still do the B+C+D throw break option select he had in ct.
-
i'd say more than anything that it's because hakumen has plenty of ways of keeping arakune out (j.C, 4C, black hole) and plenty of ways to punish him once he's in (counter assault is actually incredibly useful vs arakune, and you can also ib into yukikaze since it catches lows now).
-
do you have a te? if so, throwing a ps1 pcb in there is relatively easy.
-
free was an exaggeration. if you ask me, it's 6-4.
-
pretty much. if blazblue didn't have combos, it'd be a 9-1 matchup.
-
i don't know about you guys, but i love fucking around with tager unmagnetized. like jump in with j.B, land and 2B then tk tsubaki if he's guarding low or hotaru if i think he's gonna 360 or something. it's an unorthodox approach, but it's also why it works; who the hell does that, right? edit: this is ct only btw, cs is street fighter.
-
if you like - half screen pokes - auto meter gain - a 45% super hitconfirm - on hit counters - a dp - street fighter play hakumen ps nothing anyone says itt will effect your decision whatsoever because you're just going to find one character and like him/her and if you don't maybe this game just isnt for you

trust me, you don't want the whole thing (especially if you just want pictures). it's 3 gigs of images and artwork nearly everyone has seen already. once the translation is finished, i'll make the raws publicly available, but it's going to have to wait until then.
