  1. Akuma Playthrough by JR Rodriguez. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=PHCkwo62BEg And some notes from there -For SF characters, Jin and Xiaoyu are the sub-bosses, and just like Tekken 6 they're in constant Rage Mode/X-Factor (in this case Pandora). With Tekken characters it's Bison and Juri. -Final bosses are Ogre and Akuma afterward. They have a double lifebar, not sure if they can enter Pandora but I think they have a damage modifier to compensate. Also, English VAs for the new characters, so you can decide for yourself whether you want it dubbed or subbed. EDIT: Updated with some tidbits and roles you may have heard them from. Rolento: Alan Smithe (probably an alias for somebody, likely Taliesin Jaffe considering the alias of Alan Smithe is usually associated with directors) Poison: Karen Strassman (Kallen from Code Geass, Soi Fon from Bleach) Kazuya: Jordan Byrne (up-and-coming) Nina: Abbie Normal (also an alias, might be for Charlotte Bell, AKA Mary Elizabeth McGlynn) Asuka: GK Bowes (Felicia in MVC3) Paul: Mike McFarland (Havoc from FMA) Jin: Brad Swaile (Light Yagami, need I say more?) Xiaoyu: Carrie Savage (Does a ton of roles that are too many to list) Role Reprisals The Entire Street Fighter Cast Lili: Joy Jacobson (T5) Heihachi: Jamieson Price (as Taylor Henry, Blood Vengeance) Law: David Vincent (T6) Marduk: TJ Storm (T6) Steve: Gideon Emery (T6) Bob: Patrick Seitz (T6, also voices Hugo) Julia: Annie Wood (T5) Raven: D.C. Douglas (T6)
  2. Like I said, never had that problem on the 360. Might be a PS3 bug.
  3. It was Rachel more likely, but Clavis may have given it to him during the first time loop.
  4. New Hakumen is the same VA as well. Because of time constraints they had to resort to lowering the pitch in a lazy manner to get it to sound right. If you listen to his Arcade mode dialogue when he wins against Relius, you'll see proof. He uses the Jin voice without the filter / pitch lowering.
  5. Those with the Power of Order are natural counters to Observers. The hostility is probably just because of that balance. Anything an Observer sees is destined to happen across all timelines and realities, but those with the Power of Order, if they want it enough, can nullify an Observer's...er...observations.
  6. It's the new True Ending cutscene.
  7. On that note, Trendy Equipment Pack and the final bits of DLC music are out now. There is only one Music Pack containing 5 Soulcalibur IV themes, and DLC music 26, containing "Afterglow - a Silent Prayer" from Soulcalibur Broken Destiny. The latter must be bought separately from the music pack. Music Pack 5 -Destiny Will Tell (Siegfried / Nightmare Theme) -Phantasmagoria (Voldo / Tira Theme) -Halcyon Harbor (Maxi / Seong Mi-Na Theme) -Infernal Offering (Astaroth / Lizardman Theme) -Thanatos (Algol Theme - Tower of Lost Souls Version)
  8. Wow, so that's now Nine actually is? Now I'm hoping she isn't playable in any way, Phantom or otherwise.
  9. Here are the only things I want -Good online play. -Update the fucking soundtrack, for God's sake. It's XX's 10th anniversary and it deserves an Overture-tier soundtrack worthy of the gods. -If multiple soundtracks are included, use SC5-style music changer for them, make it per-character or matchup, and -Maybe rebalance Kliff/Justice/EX Characters, make all of their bullshit stuff Gold Mode only. -Put in a Challenge mode maybe for new players.
  10. Extend is just an update that adds Relius. Everybody has the same colors as CS. Also Hot Topic Ragna and Smooth Criminal Terumi recolors are gdlk.
  11. Sir, the edit button exists for a reason. Like so. EDIT: All of your posts are information everybody already knows. No offense, but you just restated the obvious.
  12. I rather doubt it. Both scripts pretty much convey the same message.
  13. I also just heard Hakumen's dialogue to Relius in Arcade Mode. It's exactly like his CTR dialogue but without the pitch deepened. He sounds too much like Jin, with no change in tone. It sounds like either the VA was lazy or had been working on other projects so much he couldn't get the pitch right.
  14. Just got CSEX yesterday, tried Bang again after trying out Relius, with high hopes after CS2 hit me hard. Overall his playstyle seems roughly the same, with maybe a few minor tweaks here and there. He feels like a mixed bag of CS1 and 2 to me. He still may not have throw -> Astral for styling on people, but there's the next best thing - airdash cancel. I am loving this right now. And so I once again walk the path of true men.
  15. Starting to get the hang of using him. I really wish his 5C had a better/bigger hitbox, shit's almost impossible to go into after some moves because of distance. He definitely feels awkward. Like I'm playing a totally different game or something. He's fun as fuck though once you start getting in there with Waifu-bot 9000.
  16. Oh yes, I almost forgot. For the sake of everyone's ears, when it gets to the Hazama and Taokaka part in Relius' joke ending, MUTE HAZAMA'S LINES. It's bad. Like, almost embarrassingly bad.
  17. Nago and Gii have the same voices. And so far I haven't had any random Japanese lines at all, or sudden text changes to Spanish. Then again, I am running the 360 copy. Maybe it's a PS3-related bug.
  18. Now that the English version is out, here's a refresher. Will be updated throughout. -Makoto does indeed get flung into the Wheel of Fortune timeline. It just so happens to be on the exact date of CT's events. Nobody knows who Noel is, because she doesn't exist. The only people who have any clue what she's talking about are Hazama, Relius, Kokonoe, and Rachel. Also, it is revealed that in the Wheel of Fortune timeline, Tenjou was killed by a shockwave from a nearby explosion, not by Jin, because he was never made a figurehead hero in this timeline and earned his rank proper. In addition, when she gives the code "Gnu" for Tager, they don't know who she is, because in this universe she's not a spy for Sector Seven, and the role of spy went to somebody else. In her bad ending, she encounters Relius, who has Ignis hold her down while he probes her mind. She screams for him to stop, but he ends up sucking out all of her happy memories, and brings out her darkest emotions, all for the sole purpose of manipulating them to his own desires, because her darkest emotions are her animal instincts. Too violated from the mind-rape Relius just put her through, she no longer has the will to even move, becoming paralyzed from the trauma. -Valkenhayn's joke ending involves him taking Ragna and Taokaka on a wacky adventure to get Rachel a scone for when she wakes up. When she appears, she falls asleep, and Valk tells them that they shouldn't wake her up because she's not a morning person. When she comes close to waking up, Valk uses his "uber-verboten" technique, creating 3 copies of himself which all proceed to divert Rachel's attention by hopping over a nearby fence as she counts them like sheep. He then goes into the "Valley of Death" and ends up fighting some "occupational hazards" to get to a microwave to prepare the scones to go with Rachel's tea. When she wakes up and has it, she is unimpressed, and orders Valk to toss it in the garbage, which he does. -Platinum's joke ending is a parody of Madoka where she teams up with Rachel, Carl, Noel, and Arakune to gain "Boing Cards" which are said to increase their breast size in order to defeat the Boing Queen, Litchi. They encounter Taokaka who is gathering the cards for her and are aided by Puppeteer Mask (Relius) in defeating her. Shortly afterward, they encounter and defeat Tsubaki and Makoto, then go on to Litchi herself. She has enlisted Ragna as her final bodyguard, but Rachel scares him off by telling him there's a ghost behind him (they LOVE playing on his fear of ghosts in these new storylines). The group are caught in a binding spell that they thought came from Litchi, but it was actually Arakune who cast it, revealing that he was a traitor working for Litchi. After a hilarious rousing speech, Platinum breaks free and performs her final attack "Star-Boobie Breaker", destroying Litchi. The gag reel ends with this whole thing being a dream sequence, as Platinum had accidentally bumped into Tager a while back, who had proceeded to 360B her out of reflexes.
  19. Relius probably didn't meet Ignis or give her the D until after he fell into the Cauldron.
  20. Some more notes. -The main scientist guy who had Valk's VA has been changed to Steve Kramer. -Jin/Hakumen is still David Vincent, but ArcSys used the wrong distortion effects that Aksys used and ended up lowering his pitch as a result for the Hakumen lines. -Just heard Hazama. Tokkan was right, it's not Troy. It's Doug using his Gin voice. Again, it's uncanny how similar Erik Davies sounds to him. -Torakaka has a new VA. No idea who it is, but I know it's not her original.
  21. Just got the game today, playing him in Challenge mode. He's certainly easier than Carl, but goddamnit does he require a lot of button presses and dashes. It's pretty hard to memorize his combos, and he seems like he'd be a lot easier on stick. He's still a fun character, but it looks like my plans to main him might have to be put on hold. I still feel the most comfortable with Bang. With a bit more practice I might relegate Relius to sub.
  22. No, it's definitely Troy. He's got some pretty good range. When Hazama says "I'm a friggin' mess. Would it kill ya to pull your punches a bit?", you can hear a bit of Kanji / Nova.
