  1. People are too busy mashing Y/Triangle
  2. Fuck that, canceling pre-order.
  3. LOL, so true. Talim, on the other hand, is Filipino, but even that's a minority compared to China, glorious Nippon, and Gaijinland. In Tekken, though, the Korean characters are stereotypical Tae Kwon Do fighters who are extremely scrubby.
  4. A is them trying to speak proper English. B is either in-character or using Japanese pronunciation depending on the VA. The only bearable A voices, IMO, are Jin, Carl, and Litchi.
  5. Yun-Seong was a garbage character anyway. Don't know why people would ever want him back. Zas should definitely come back though. Namco be so racist, taking him out and making the story favor two Greek kids who are white as hell.
  6. She is quite lovable.
  7. She was her VA in the exclusive Drama CD that came with either Extend or CS1 IIRC.
  8. Damn, that Kokonoe B. So fine.
  9. I've seen some pretty silly edits. Off the top of my head... -Some guy made a black guy with a pseudo-disco look and a kilt with Maxi's style named "Blaxi" -A bad Sephiroth -LOTS of really dumb characters with penis-like attachments (fucking immature people, I swear...) -Raziel from Legacy of Kain -Some guy with a deer head -A furry -The Wasp from Avengers -She-Hulk -Lots of bad Weskers and M. Bisons -One of the guards from Skyrim (complete with arrow in the knee) You guys are lucky. All I see otherwise are bad OCs.
  10. I used to have this game's GDLK OST on my YouTube. Then I took a copyright infringement to the knee. Fucking YouTube and their monkey moderators
  11. Actually, take Siegfried off the list and replace him with Xiba. Fuck Xiba.
  12. The bitchiest styles the hard AI uses are definitely Alpha Patroklos, Natsu, Siegfried, and Pyrrha Omega. And yes, the AI is heavily inconsistent, borderline trolly. Sometimes it lets you think you've won, then it says "LOL no, fag" and rapes you.
  13. Heh heh...Climax. I'm fairly certain this is the update that adds in Heidern, Adel, Shion, and whoever else they want in. For now, they're just adding in Billy, Human Saiki, and the DLC characters.
  14. An addendum/reminder: the Power of Order is the opposite of an Observer. Anybody with it (Jin), if they want it enough, can essentially delete something an Observer (Rachel / Hakumen) makes real. Once this happens, the event will no longer occur in any future time-loops / alternate realities / what have you.
  15. I think it's the side you pick for the fight. In SC4 you could choose which side you wanted to play on.
  16. Practically every move in the game has some way of being avoided. Learn at which times during the moves you can sidestep. If you think your opponent is rushing in for a grab, duck it and counterattack. Knowing how and when to maneuver your character is an absolute must in Soul Calibur.
  17. That should be the primary objective of every Nightmare player. He's a momentum-based character. If he doesn't get in soon enough then he's at a serious disadvantage.
  18. I honestly don't get why people whine about Nightmare. Yes, he moves faster. Yes, he's a ringout machine. Yes, he can take off half of your lifebar with half of a meter, and can probably 100% you with full meter and the right Brave Edges. So what? He's still Nightmare. He's fast but compared to a lot of other characters (except Astaroth) his moves are still telegraphed to hell and back. Take away his ringout ability by picking infinite-boundary stages. Out-zone him and poke him to death. Hell, they whined about him too during SC4. "He's too slow!", "They nerfed his good tools!", etc.
  19. 8wayrun
  20. SC5, competitive and balance-wise, is just as good as SC2. It feels like a fresh start. It's a huge improvement over 4.
  21. Viola does feel a lot like playing a 2D fighter within a 3D fighter. Her main BnB instantly pushes you into the corner and it's stupid-easy to do. Not to mention if she has meter she can do super (Critical Edge) and then rush up and do an EX (Brave Edge) combo. Also I dropped Raph and Mitsurugi for Nightmare and Xiba. Raph has better combo strings but he feels nerfed in terms of baiting and low attacks. Mitsurugi just got reworked and simplified too much, making him harder to get into. Also looking into subbing Leixia. She's more simple than Xianghua and overall she feels really fun.
  22. Guard Impact, while an excellent tool in Soul Calibur, was still very annoying in previous games. You just mash 4/6G over and over and get instant frame advantage. New system is better, honestly.
  23. Yeah people online can hear the music.
  24. You have to put them on stages. You go into the Stage Music Settings in Options and they'll be right there. Then you set them as the new default music by hitting X (PS3) or A (360). Can't wait for Music Pack 2 so I can replace Nightmare's godawful theme with his best theme ever, Forsaken Sanctuary.
  25. I'm not too much of an expert on Dante or Doom, but I use Dormammu. This team might have trouble against fast characters with good mixup assists. Put Dante on point instead of Doom with Crystal assist. Crystal can OTG if timed right and covers a lot of ground. Dormammu is good anywhere, but I prefer him as the anchor because he can be a huge meter hog. Obviously you'll want to use Dark Hole as an assist, which also covers a lot of ground, and you can use it as a combo extender if spaced right. Doom is good anywhere, really. All of his assists are good and he's a very solid character overall, even though his combos are a bit wonky.
