  1. So, yeah. Got back on the game after the patch. Netcode is definitely more stable, but some lag still creeps through. In laymen's terms it's basically down from 1-frame input delay down to around 0.6 input delay. Sadly I see a lot of 0 bars (moreso than before), and when I fought a 3-bar person he was rank 15 and destroyed me. I had a feeling the patch would come too late, and I was right. Soul Calibur's netcode is still better. SNK Delaymore once again falls slightly short of expectations.
  2. Yeah Dampierre and Ezio can't be edited.
  3. Using Cervantes, Raphael, and Mitsurugi. I use Algol, Edge Master, and Ezio occasionally for trolling.
  4. I just saw a Viola player yesterday. Looked like he was doing some crazy shit but it was actually just a BnB invented by Floe. He couldn't even use the super correctly.
  5. Finally beat Legendary Souls mode. Elysium took me A FUCKING HOUR to beat. She amplifies my hatred for Sophitia a billion-fold. Fuck the Greeks. Here's the last of the strats. Edge Master: Block and punish. He's susceptible to throws a lot. Elysium: Oh, God, she is a bitch. She does have a pattern though. She always tries to Angel Step. If you can catch her off guard during Angel Step, you can beat her. Algol: LOL easiest boss in the set. Completely folds like toilet paper under pressure.
  6. Well, I made it up to Cervantes, and right now I'm on the verge of quitting and unlocking Algol in Arcade Mode. Some notable patterns I found for each character. Kilik: He mostly stays defensive, but once he gets momentum he pulls off big combos that aim to keep you stunned on the ground. He's pretty susceptible to Ring Outs. SC4 Nightmare: He loves to rush you down from the get-go. He's a little bit easier than Kilik, but you can't ring him out as easily. Instead, he's more susceptible to throws. SC4 Siegfried: Same as Nightmare, except he loves going into stance changes. Ring him out. Inferno Cervantes: Here's where it gets nigh-impossible. He spams Just Frame Psycho Crushers a lot, and makes combos out of them. He's also a huge block-whore.
  7. I have to say, I'm kinda liking Patroklos and Z.W.E.I. after playing them in Story. Alpha Patroklos is pretty dumb, same with Pyrrha and Pyrrha Omega. Also, playing Legendary Souls right now...fuck this mode. Seriously. The AI is fucking brutal as shit and the moment it gets momentum it forces you down and rams its cock up your anus. After Kilik it's been pretty easy so far, though. The only AI exploit I found so far is that sometimes they rush in at first, then when you knock them down they're susceptible to throws. Just don't do it too much or they'll get paranoid and duck when you're close.
  8. A reminder about unlockables.
  9. Gonna be playing this all day every day until Extend. Then I'll devote my time equally to both, and nothing else until SFxT comes out. Then I'll have no idea what to do.
  10. Same here. If GameStop had that DLC I would have gone there, though. But they don't, so to hell with them.
  11. Kliff -Has a high-damage, high-priority drill special move -Has an air version of said move that Ragna stole to create Belial Edge -6H causes stun in 2 hits and deals a shitload of damage -All of his sword normals do a shitload of damage -All of his other specials and supers do a shitload of damage Justice -All of her moves deal fucktons of damage and have god priority -Can pull off ridiculous combos that practically last forever and can potentially OHKO you -Imperial Ray is both the most retarded and the best reversal in the game -Gamma Ray stuns you if you're close and depending on the character it might as well be an instant kill -Her own instant kill is easy as balls to combo into -Has stupidly easy mindgame potential and mixup
  12. While the story is up there among good fighting game story modes, much of the presentation leaves a lot to be desired. There's very few cutscenes, with the majority of what happens being shown through illustrations. Plus, several characters' fates are none too pleasant, and the lot of characters who everybody was hyped for to return don't actually appear.
  13. More Story Spoilers (courtesy of Sabin's stream)
  14. Some Story Mode spoilers I gathered from around the web, mainly from 8WayRun & GameFAQs. Also, these are apparently the tracks in the DLC. Only 10 songs per pack, sans the 3rd one, which only has 6. That's 26 for each character sans two. MP1 [soul Edge] -Bravely Folk Song (Cervantes' Theme) -The Wind & Cloud (Mitsurugi's Theme) -HORANGI ARIRANG (Hwang's Theme) -Soul and Sword (Siegfried's Theme) -World Atlas Collapsed (SoulEdge / Inferno's Theme) [sC1] -Duelists (Mitsurugi's Theme) -The Cursed Image (Taki's Theme) -Chasing Downstream (Yoshimitsu's Theme) -Wings of Faith (Sophitia's Theme) -Unblessed Soul (Ivy's Theme) MP2 [sC2] -Brave Sword, Braver Soul (Mitsurugi and Taki's Theme) -Hubris (Xianghua and Kilik's Theme) -Raise Thy Sword (Nightmare's Theme) -Guided by Wind (Talim's Theme) -Confrontation (Charade's Theme) [sC3] -Ephemeral Dream (Setsuka's Theme) -Courage Ablaze (Cassandra's Theme) -Endless Warfare (Raphael's Theme) -Time Marches On (Zasalamel's Theme) -Forsaken Sanctuary (Nightmare's Theme) MP3 [sC4] -Halcyon Harbor (Sailor's Rest) -Thanatos (Tower of Lost Souls - Last Judgment) -Phantasmagoria (Phantom Pavilion) -Destiny Will Tell (Tower of Remembrance - Encounter) -Infernal Offering (Kunpaetku Shrine - Dream Remnants) [sCBD] -Afterglow -A Silent Prayer- (Thesmophoros' Imperial Garden - Sunset)
  15. Watched the archive of the final Daishi stream. Algol still looks broken as fuck. Bubbles are back in full force, everything he does is faster because of the new systems, and his CE does like 50-60% of your health and can apparently OTG. I still think Devil Jin style is more broken because any character with the style can do EWGF juggles for potentially big damage, and don't forget the lasers. Good thing they'll be banned at majors.
  16. He's not calling assists in the air. The player hits the assist button right before he jumps to do Sentsuizan. Anyone who's played his trials in Mission Mode knows this. As for your new team, I have to say this straight out: you still have problems with figuring out the right team order. Try Nemesis/Firebrand/Shuma. Nemesis is a much better point than Firebrand due to his ease of use and super armor at the start of the match. He DHCs really well into Firebrand's Dark Fire and if you have the Demon Missile Swoop assist (the Y assist IIRC) you can use it to open up the opponent. Shuma is best used as an anchor for one simple reason: Chaos Dimension. One of the most powerful grab supers in the game, especially if you mash while doing it. In addition, his Mystic Ray assist is both an OTG and it hits full screen, so it works well in covering your approach too.
  17. Not that that's stopped me from wanting Nine to be playable lolol~
  18. I hope that rock music in the trailer really is Algol's theme. So godly.
  19. A bobblehead (a mere antique) VS. Dampierre (a DLC character, something that actually contributes to the game itself, is funny as hell and is basically the game's Dan) Gee, I wonder.
  20. Unlock code for every character's custom colors now available for 240MSP / $3.00. And yes, I bought it. Unlock method is still boring and a load of bullshit. Speaking of which, here's my updated color list. 21. Never played against him before but when I do I'll be sure to give him "a little gift".
  22. What? Seriously? Fucking IGN.
  23. Fuck, I missed the live stream. So is the final boss Inferno/Algol/Elysium?
  24. I do hope I live long enough to see SC7 happen. All the new characters as well as old characters will return, Kilik will no longer be a mimic character, and Inferno will be the last boss again, with his own broken moveset that combines his old exclusive moves from SC1/2 with Night Terror and Abyss's moves, as well any of Algol's stuff that is removed in 5 to make him balanced. He will also be able to use a special move on the final round when he is K.O'd where he uses a version of Hilde's "hold B for 30 seconds move" that instantly sends you flying out of the ring, provided you aren't dead.
