If you are interested in other characters changes, please go to their forums to find out. This thread is for v-13 specific changes in the loketest only. Thank you.

Sometimes you are just going to have to block, there isn't always a way out of the situation you've been put in besides defending until there is a gap. Using the defensive mechanics like Instant Block and Barrier are necessary to create gaps or space to get out, we don't have a DP to use. I play on a TE2 and it's fine.
-
Instant Over-Head. It generally refers to being able to use an air normal very shortly after leaving the ground that will hit the opponent.
-
Are you referring to long training/playing sessions? If so, is it just your wrists? This is more of a personal question that I'd be happy to answer via PMs or my Twitter/Ask.fm or even post something in the general forums since this doesn't really pertain to just v-13.

It really depends on screen spacing. If they are within B well range, you should be looking to either create space or move out of the corner with a parser, assuming you are not going to try and poke them out with 2B/3C or if you have space to IAD backwards (they can still just run at you here though if they guess correctly, gravity helps keep them away while you move) Full screen, the more mobile characters can evade C Well -> 4D so I generally will use B well -> Spike to force their movement to either run under them if necessary or to have an easier time correctly placing a 2/6D. Gravity in neutral helps keep your plan structured, you want to remove as much guesswork as possible when zoning and hindering opponent mobility or making it difficult to enter a specific area of the screen is exactly what you want. In one of its most extreme cases, look at v-13 vs Bullet. Yes, she is slow enough to zone without the use of gravity well, but adding it as a neutral tool suddenly compounds all her problems in the MU. Let me know if that didn't quite address your question.
-
She functions much better as a character when using gravity in neutral. Regardless of her high close range damage, ultimately, your goal is to keep them away from you. Placing a Well in front of their approach area or under them takes a lot of guesswork out of beginning your lockdown. You can delay swords long enough to have it back for a conversion too. Against rushdown characters, it also gives you mobility by letting you parser afterwards. You can also use it for gatling frametraps since you can cancel gravity in to normals. Much more than just a combo tool!
-
If the well is still under you, I don't think you go far enough to hit her at that timing. I usually just do 236D~C now for an ender since it's way safer and less guessing. You can also end the drive starter combo with 6C > 236[D] to keep space instead of doing IAD back.

Well, since you have mentioned just calling it what it is today, a better discussion that needs to be figured out is "What should DustLoop function as?" What is the end-goal of this site and what is trying to be accomplished? If it is informational, having a community is not really going to work the way it's been since, well, forever. It's the entire reason I stopped posting, I don't want to watch my character's sub-forum get littered with absolutely useless posts. That is purely my preference but really the goal of the site and what happens with it is not going to please everyone or be ideal for everyone.

In practice, the general threads (within character forums) have never really played out that way besides your exception. More often than not, good information is either lost within it or turns into extra clerical work for the mod rather than already being centralized in the appropriate thread. My reference to general threads was more of the General Netplay thread or a real community thread where you can just go post, not one restricted to each character forum. In my 7 years reading this forum I have seen those turn to garbage again and again, up until they were banned. I don't feel the character forums need a "general discussion" thread, it's unnecessary. Character forums need to stay restricted to gameplay related discussion only if you ask me, even if it is theoryfighting or what not.

It's not a huge focus of discussion but for productivity sake, using Twitter as a comparison in any form to DL's function should be nixed. Very different platform of communication, timelines can be tailored to see mostly only what you want to see (re: twitter is a big general thread, top players shitpost). While I see the point, it's a big stretch. Personally, I don't mind the general threads and never really did. Misinformation will get posted either way. My biggest gripe and request was that character sub-forums have harsh, strict rules. That is where pertinent information has generally been kept and having it lost in pages of whining or no-content posts is frustrating.

Motivation is not a reliable factor for someone who needs to consistently keep something up to date, it's dedication. There's plenty of no-effort content that can be made in to front page articles. Evo/tournament results. Upcoming tournaments. Streams. All of those are already set up, post them on the front page so others can know about them. It seems so obvious but how is this an ArcSys focused site and there is no Arc Revolution 2015 article on the front page? it has BB, GG, UNI and P4U2 2.0 as events and there is not a lick of coverage when it's in 2~3 weeks.

You can do j.214[D] / j.214D~C oki but a wary opponent can delay tech through it to avoid the mixup entirely. If someone starts doing this to you, you can either end with 214D~C > airdash away for neutral reset, or end with 3C > 236D~C for meaty wheel.
-
Yeah, one good combo, next mixup will stun pretty much 100% of the time. It's insanely strong and makes his offense even scarier because of the implication.
-
good lord shut up reaver you're irrelevant
-
Yeah but at least most characters have to spend a ton of resources now due to the combo timer nerf. Our damage is high and consistent but I do wish it topped out higher just because I like killing people
-
we made it https://youtu.be/qMrLZEqJSmw?t=65
-
Yeah I've been hoping for something that breaks 7K but with the current combo timer, we already fit in all the big moves.. I think only low life OD will manage it and even then it may not be a practical combo.
-
It doesn't seem possible to get the height right for Super > 663C to link with that little of combo time at the end (214A > 2DD isn't high enough, 6D > 2DD techs at 2DD). Judging from the damage up to that point I think it would do 6.8K~ It's at 5450~ damage before 3C > cOD > Super which is consistent with the combo in the video.
-
these work on everyone though at full life

As I edited with the explanation, regardless of whether it's an appeal to authority or not, what is the "evidence" I'm dismissing in this case? Someone's feelings? It is a matchup in a fighting game, a fully competitive setting, what is the measurement that we should be using? My point is not "you're wrong", my point is they should be heavily considering what they think because they have conflicting opinions from reliable sources. My rebuttal to your post is hardly repeating the same thing, it's me pointing out how irrelevant what you said was. Also keep in mind an appeal to authority is not even fallacious unless it's misused.
-
Well I explained it and honestly you should probably try a little harder to understand something before you post a disagreement with it. If you didn't understand it's intent, why weigh in on it?
-
well at EVO he said rachel was free so.. lol that was really not my point anyways, i think it was pretty clear what was intended by the statement edit: that is to say, if the best/one of the best players of a character has a strong opinion regarding a MU that they've played way more at a higher level, there's probably some merit behind it and you should consider the 'why'
-
during CSE dora himself said that hakumen was one of bang's worst matchups, take that as you will lol
