So never being to a tournament before... I'm assuming it's 8 bucks to get in and 3 goes to AI? Either way, schedule changed so ill be scrubbing it up with Hazama there
-
Lololol at command grab beating hells fang.
-
Use the hop mid blocksting to mixup with command and normal throws.. Its pretty ace
-
Not saying that you can't get in safely... just stating that it's not 5D~D ---> instant blockstring like I was thinking before I actually played the character, a lot of character's 5A and AA's will stop his approach via chain if you just do it out of nowhere. I've just been trying to IB as much as possible though to get out of the corner pressure. Been doing pretty shitty there agaisnt Bang and Ragna players.

The biggest PITA for me is judging how long to delay the 5C after his BnB 214D~C to go into the air with j.C and then relaunch back up with 2C. Too early and they can tech before 2C lands, too late and you drop the combo after the first couple of j.C's. I was using 2C after the 214D~C as it was the perfect timing to get the relaunch 2C later on, but depending on how far out the 214D~C connects it wasn't bringing them high enough in some cases and they were teching before the 2C could connect. This is the main thing bugging me with Hazama right now... but other than that I really like him. If you can get a chain off and approach them safely with ~D then you are in a very good situation... It's just a matter of getting in safely since most character's 5A will stop any approach =/

Arcade Infinity BBCS New Year's Eve Party!!! Dec. 31st
ghaleon109 replied to Hellfromabove's topic in Archive
You missed a part! Because everyone, who is anyone, knows for sure, 100%, that when you say you are going to be at a party, a party with women, that you indeed are a ladies man, and that everyone should feel stupid, and much less of a man, if they are dumb enough to question you the next day about whether you got some or not the night before, at the party, the party with the women, because everyone should know, that you are a ladies man, and that you always get some when you go to parties, parties with women, or else why would you advertize that you were going to a party and emphasize that there would be women there in the first place?? -

Y Lol yeah its a Vewlix L. Just a cheaper version of a normal Vewlix cab. It'll be blue with white buttons and a black and white control panel stock. Hit me up when you go again! I need to work on some more combos with hazama as well.. -

Oh sweet its on the blue Vewlix with the black and white control panel?? The A button was fucked on the 1P big cab yesterday when I was there =/ cut out sometimes.. -
Thanks, All I was really going for at this point was just a general BnB list, and basic examples of when to use each. I honestly am not on par with most of the better players on here so I really have no place to start explaining or judging more advanced tactics. Nico won't work here at work anymore so I'll have to wait to get home before I can see any more of the basic combos that I left out. I've found one I forgot about, but I have to clock back in in a second here so I'll update it later after I get home. Oh, and yes for anyone unfamiliar with Hazama's dash. It can cancel into barrier, normals, and specials so you cancell the dash after 623D with a 3C. You don't wait for the dash to complete before you do the 3C.

2A/5B Starters Midscreen: 2A/5B, 3C, 214D~C, *2C, j.CxN, 2C, 4D~D, j.CxN, dj.CxN, 214B *(replace 2C with a "short dash, 5C" then follow up as usual if 214D~C connects at the edge of its hitbox, IE: they are too far for 2C to connect) Some of the best meterless damage, a little bit hard to execute at first due to the strict timing on the chain and D follow up. Weak oki compared to other combo enders, do it when you need the damage. 2A/5B, 3C, 214D~C, 5C, 2C, j.CxN, dj.CxN, 214B Not as much damage as the combo previously listed, but you float lower during the combo (due to leaving out the chain and followup) allowing you to hit the ground faster after 214B and providing more time to setup an oki. Much easier combo execution wise as well. 2A/5B, 3C, 214D~C, 5C, 2C, 4D~A, 623D, dash, 3C Not the best damage without extending it via meter, but it's good to use when your back is to the corner just a ways away from half screen. 623D will throw them behind you and if theres a corner there it'll put them in it which is nice. You can alwas 214D after the 3C and follow up with whatever you like for oki as the 3C makes them tech bounce in the same spot (no rolling) so do ~A for a high, ~C for a low, or ~D if you want to bait a wakeup DP or something. Back to Corner (point blank) 2A/5B, 3C, 214D~C, 5C, 2C, 623D, 2B, 5C, 2C, 4D~D, j.CxN, 214B Does good damage, gets you out of the corner, gives decent oki, but since you used the chain it takes awhile for hazama to hit the ground after 214B so there isn't a whole lot of time for an oki setup. 2A/5B, 3C, 214D~C, 5C, 2C, 623D, 2B, 5C, 2C, 623D Not as much damage, but it keeps them right in front of you, your kept with your back up against the corner too though... 2C (counter) 4D~D, j.CxN, dj.CxN, 214B Basic follow up off of an anti air counter. Has the same properties of all the other chain --> 214B enders. 4D~A, 623D, dash 3C Used as a starter for connecting an anti air counter attack to the kick super through the use of heat. 214D~C (counter) 623D, dash, 3C Again, used as a starter to connect to the kick super. ??? I forgot which chain connects after 214D~C counter, but there are more combos for this starter. 50% heat combos 236236B, 214D~C, 5C, 2C, 4D~D, j.CxN, dj.CxN, 214B BnB followup to his kick super, you time the 214D~C followup sooner than you'd think you typically would because of the slow startup and the speed at which they fall. 236236B, 6D~A, 6D~A, 6D~A, 623D, dash, 3C A different followup to kick super, really only used for when you want to extend the combo after 3C with another kick super. 4B+C, 632146C Easy follow up to a backthrow, keeps them from bursting if your going for the kill. 5D~A, 632146C Nice way to add damage off of any random 5D hit if you've got meter to burn. **"any combo ending in 623D, dash, 3C" can be followed up with 236236B allowing for further combo extension by way of 214D~C as shown above. This is crutial for getting max damage with Hazama. ***"any combo ending in 623D, dash, 3C" can have the "dash, 3C" omitted and followed up with 632146C instead. Since supers have a minimum damage now you can use this after a long combo and still get decent unburstable damage. It also puts them far away from you and takes up a good ammount of time if your trying to play keep away or run the clock. Ok, there definatly is more but I'm beat and I work pretty early tomorrow so I'll look it over and see if I missed anything on my lunch tomorrow. In the meantime if anyone sees something that is wrong (high posibility of this) then feel free to correct me.
-
...Don't be stupid and shoot one of his chains at an orb of death. It'll lock on and not allow Hazama to cancel the chain as fast as he usually can.
-
let me try and think of a way to format it so that it would be easy to read, rather than just being one big jumble of numbers and letters. I'll try to throw something general together before I sleep, and I do mean general. It'll be similar to the first post, but I'll try to explain situations the different enders put you in because that's what you really have to think about since his Oki isn't quite top notch. And reffering to the 214D~A... yeah it's really not amazing. It's definatly useful but you WILL be punished by a good player if they see it coming. You can simply be jabbed out of it, and not to mention the hitbox doesn't even show up untill the last quarter circle of his motion. It'll completely whiff if you do it and they're directly overhead due to the late hitbox.

I was down there today didn't even notice the other cab :3 If you go in the morning there's usually not many people so there's plenty of time to practice. -
Honestly his BnB's are pretty much the same. You start them off the same way but can end them however you like depending on the oki setup you want. You should get a good sense of what's possible to substitute when and where by watching the Hazama videos, but If you like I can throw together something. It'll likely look similar to the combos on the first page though.
-
Lol at not working the past 5 sundays then having to on this one... Good luck to all those that go!
-
Yes, barrier and normals. Not sure about specials, and no step jump. Combo after 236236B isn't hard as KV said, most of the time you do just 1 dash and follow up with 214DC. You do the C follow up before you'd typically think you would have to tho since they come down fast and it has some startup.. It gets trickier when the super trades because it puts hazama in whatever CH status the move that connected with him has..
-
Yeah. If the B follow up is a fatal counter they can't tech till they hit the ground. 5DD keeps them low enough so you van hit the ground and relaunch with 5C/2C
-
Hitbox is on hazama on all the followups and doesn't seem to have any invincibility. Ie: they can hit you out of your followups pretty easily. If you chain, they burst, you follow up, it'll only affect you if hazama enters during the active portion of the burst. Your not going to get blown back or hurt if they burst/attack your chains. Its not like doing an srk on one of dalsims ranged limbs and having it connect eventhough your full screen
-
Do you 4D~A (chain cancell) or do you just go into the astral after 4D?
-
Well done!
-
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what he was talking about for the chain's attributes... I've seen some of noel's drives get orbed by Hakumen's sword It's great the hitboxes being on both feet ya? Haha..
-
I must have been reading the combo wrong then.. for some reason I thought it was 214D~C, 2C, j.Cx5 (land) j.Cx5, 2C, 4D~D, ect. I figured the landing and re-jumping wouldn't work without a link. But yea regardless, it's too many j.C's for it to keep from turning techable. The Ragna was fullscreen and decided to CS for the hell of it. So I just hit Hazama's 5D during the flash thinking it was a typical projectile and that it would stop him during his movement... didn't happen Like you said as well they must not have normal projectile properties...
-
The J.Cx20 combo dosen't sound possible.. Assuming the "hyaha" is 214DC you really don't have time to hit the ground and re-jump inbetween j.C's. I haven't tried it, but without a link like 5C or 2C once you hit the ground it seems like they'd be able to tech. And doing the 5C or 2C floats them too high to come back down and do another 2C without giving them the ability to tech. I'll try it next time I'm there tho. On an unrelated note... WTF is up with Ragna's CS going through Hazama's projectiles? Thought he was only immune during the pause, but he continued to pass right through my D projectile and connect with is super...
