CT 6b was actually really good, but I never got to use it as much as I wanted since CT was starting to get phased out and I'd just discovered its wonderful properties. Fast low (and low invuln as well?), you could combo off it, etc. Current 6b is ass though it's still good to break up their pace. His artwork does look quite boss this time around. And yeah, not enough out yet to tell what's what.

I'd say the delay before the first j.B is the most important. Any delay of any sort will usually make the rest of the combo work like cake. The rest is just figuring out the timing/spacing, but that first delay determines whether the combo will work or not.

It'll always have its place in my heart, that's for sure. But unless BB3 radically changes gameplay, I can see the franchise shrivel up and whither away. It's got too much baggage and hate in the community despite slowly becoming legit. Speeding up gameplay would do wonders for one, I think. BB'll be my main game forever for sure, but it's time for a change. If P4A can't do it, then GG for sure in the Fall. It's time to diversify.

Like, whoa, C-C-C-C-omboquote! I've been doing some research and the characters that might appeal to me best so far are Yu, Chie, Akihiko, (S)Labrys, and Yukiko, which is more than I'd have thought. Going by appearance, though, I think only Yukiko sorta' appeals to me. The others don't immediately catch my attention. I generally just like power characters like Haku/Slayer, though there are exceptions such as Valk/Order Sol/Jam/Johnny. Strong offense/defence is what I look for mostly. I don't really go for flimsy (low hp) or zoning characters/grapplers. Blargh, now I'm getting the urge to buy the game and I wasn't at all interested before. Fuck Malaria, Hype is the most contagious of all diseases!

Thanks for the reply. Good stuff to think about. I like heavy-hitter power characters like Hakumen/Slayer or at least strong offence like Valkenhayn/Order Sol. Generally, characters that are both strong in the offence and defence category without sacrificing mobility too much (i.e. no slow grapplers) are the kind I go for. I'll still check out the challenge combos, though. Should be a good place to start.

Well, seeing as this is Montreal we're talking about I'm pretty sure they have gay strip grill bars somehow, somewhere. Just gotta look around a bit.

So... Is this game good or what? I haven't been following this game at all. I've watched a couple vids and I'm not sure there's much gameplay diversity off first impression. So is that there's hype just 'cause, or is P4A genuinely good?

Sounds like ya'll need to come to Montreal and relax in the excellent atmosphere of the city. Minimum one strip bar and grill-bar per city block guarantees genteel service for gentlemen of the highest quality.
