Leaders often need to make imperfect, immediate decisions, though. You're going to be biased for sure in such an instance, but it's still your best shot. But yes, kudos to Pedro! The man makes the community run like a well-oiled machine.

There's a lot of shit that's wrong with Quebec, and these protests are bringing them out in the light. Anyway, so I don't TL;DR, I'll just say Qc needs to: - Inject loads of Capitalism into its system - Strip pension funds/entitlements/social welfare stuff to a minimum - Kick the union's collective arses for having too much power. - Lower taxes (50 frikkin' %, are you frikkin' kidding me?) - Clean up the corruption in various industries - Re-evaluate the current state of the "free" educational and medical systems. Seriously reconsider their benefits ----- I, for one, would love to get my grubby mits on (non-rigged) financial statements as to the state of the gov't's, the Universities', and other public/private bodies involved in gov't dealings. You can make much more informed decisions once you know the proper numbers, because I'm not sure anyone here really knows what they are.

It's likely always going to be, as it has been since there was a civilization. But putting that aside, Quebec is much too socialist. It needs to rip out most of its welfare schemes, entitlements, unions, other social net things, and bring in some real competition starting with the construction industry to get rid of some of that corruption. 50% tax rate is, frankly, fucking ridiculous. I, for one, will be moving elsewhere once I get some decent experience and income under my belt, much as I love MTL. Personally, I've been very disdainful of students wanting to strike at first. But then thinking about it, the QC gov't should clean up its own back yard before demanding more money, especially when that money won't do anything to solve the problem. A book-balance issue should not be the public's problem.

Do not underestimate the power of randomness! In effect, it has been scientifically and mathematically proven that adding some element of randomness provides a better outcome than a so-called "optimal" solution. The real trick to winning is not "solid play", but to land a hit. And to land a hit, the other guy can't be expecting it or he'll just block whatever you throw at him. Adding a bit of random to your play can improve the odds of landing said hit. In essence, don't give any fucks and keep pressing the advantage. Thinking too much can lead to a worse outcome than you'd like.

I might skip it this year. Last year's BB tourney was underwhelming, so my only reason to go is to buy fan art/posters.

My Hakumanz has gotten better since last we met, too. Been getting in some decent practice. I still drop combos like a noob, but I'll at least get in one win. And oh shit! Secret Boss coming over! Better practice indeed...
