Oh yeah, for sure. We should always have a list of basic bnbs and optimal combos sorted by starter. Just sayin' that I won't be running around looking at vids to steal stuff this year when I know Hakumen well enough to make up my own proprietary stuff now.

I think I'll just make my own combos with this version of BB. It should get me acquainted with all the necessities.

I'd be happy with just the game + BB netcode myself. If they can add a challenge mode and other goodies, all the better. ----- I doubt this would end up like 3SO. Arc does quality work, and I couldn't see them releasing anything half-assed. It'll be the good stuff.

Just break them as you would offline, and you'll do fine. Most of the work that goes into breaking throws has to do with anticipating them, so netplay should not be a significant factor. It does suck if you properly reacted and lag made it not break, but those should be the minority cases.

Oooh, this could be an interesting topic... Yes, your playstyle is a very important consideration when picking characters and growing into how you'll play the game. If you don't like the characters or can't get comfortable anyway you play, then you'll just get bored and drop the game. To find a character you like, your best bet may be to shop around and try them all. You can make a list of tendencies you have (prefer playing defensive/offensive, simple/complex characters, like to move around a lot/staying put and guarding your space, etc.) and this could point you in the right direction, though you may be surprised and find your niche with a different character than you thought. So best to try them all. ----- That said, I strongly urge you NOT to take the advice of an "advanced" player, and simply find your own style. How can someone else know you better than yourself? It's not possible. This kind of basic work should be fun, experiential, and exploratory. If it isn't, why are you playing fighters?

BB isn't a "watered down version of GG", it was simply marketed as GG's spiritual successor, and as I said Arc shot themselves in the foot with that one. BB is an entirely different franchise. I'm just efficiently reallocating the hate!

This is great and awesome news, but I also hope we're still in for BB. I know Ill be playing both BB and GG myself. :D

As hype as I am about this, I feel sad that BB needs to be bashed; it's a great fighter on its own. Arc simply shot themselves in the foot by marketing BB as the "new GG", and there's no way a more casual game could live up to the GG name. So I hope people will still be playing BB along with GG since they are both worthy. We should be saying "fuck SFIV/Marvel", not BB (we already do hate Capcom, but I digress). Anyway, hyyyyyyyyyype!!

Yes, it switched around since j.B's untechable time, and addition of j.B -> j.A gatling makes it the better choice. It's hella easy once you get it, Mac. EDIT: That's not to say that j.A -> j.B isn't used in some cases, though. I think that stuff is character-specific.

Pure speculation, but my guess is that it can be confirmed into j.B because of the new gatling. It's also fast with low recovery. He only seems to use it when going for blockstring pressure. Sometimes in the air as a quick poke if close range, but j.B seems better for that.

Yeah? It should be really easy, just delay IAD j.B as much as possible and the rest will connect perfectly. It's fairly lenient, I think.
