MvC3 has too much BS for me to like it. Too easy to get randomed out is probably my biggest gripe. I guess it's why I prefer BB/GG; they play more like chess.

Sorry guys, I haven't kept up with this thread much. Life's taken over basically and I barely play BB these days. I did switch to Valk for a couple weeks, but I think I'll be double-maining both Haku and Valk since I like e'm both. CS2 Haku just doesn't click with me so I should hopefully be back with him when CS3 comes out if they fix what's aggravating about him. Anyway, do what you guys want with the first post; I just ain't around enough anymore to take of it properly. :\ A word about dmg/star gain values, though: they're actually irrelevant. Once you know your combo paths to cover all situations, they should be optimal. And if they're optimal, then... dmg/star gain doesn't matter because they're already the best values you can get and the only ones worth knowing. The ability to calculate the opponent's remaining health is, imo, much more important since you'll eventually gain an intuitive notion of Haku's dmg output. But if you guys insist on having these values up, then knock yourselves out. I leave the OP in your hands.

MTL has its good and its bad like any other city. Can't sleep at all. Been up since 1am and I'm working at 5am. God, so tired. Otherwise inspired by Spark to revisit Haku. His pressure's actually... not bad if done right. Might have to explore that sometime.

This is all we need. Take over writing for BB/GG instead of leaving it to people who know/care nothing for them and we'll get decent, positive exposure. That said, it's SRK. They don't give a shit about anything not-Crapcom so it's an uphill battle. Worth a shot, though.

So I managed to get my motorcycle classes earlier, which means I'll fully attend Otakuthon! On the other hand, it's night classes. Coupled to my job and everything, I'm hella tired already. But it's 120% worth it! Never in hell am I going to give this hobby up -- it's way too much fun. :D Valk's going to be a poor showing, unfortunately. Haven't practiced at all recently. D: Gl in tomorrow's tourney. I don't think I need to say I won't be showing up, lol.

Someone appreciates GGAC+'s survival mode!!! :D It's pretty dang awesome, I used to run it a lot way back in the day. Made it to ~lv650 or so and it gets real crazy by then. Brice, the following are what each of those do: - Guard Mist Finer: Gold Johnny has a Mist Finer that is nearly insta-kill. This would mitigate the damage by A LOT. I think you meet him at lv700+. - Flame Attack: I think it increases the damage of your fire-based attacks if you have any. Sol and Order-Sol like this a lot. - Guard Flame: Reverse of the above -- you guard against flame attacks. Useful vs. Gold Sol especially since Grand Viper does a fuckton of damage. If we get Abyss mode in BB3, I will squeal like a little girl. Shit's really fun to just mess around with. :D

Turns out I may not be able to make it to next weekend's planned BBQ. Shit sucks. Valk's coming along slowly. Still dropping combos a lot and I need to improve my repertory in general, but he should be in shape by ECT in Dec.

They're doing to FGs what Activision did to Guitar Hero/CoD. Anything from SFIV and on is marketing hype packaged as games to drive sales. You can't honestly say their current crop could stand next to ST, GG, VF, or other top fighter. You might say the games aren't intended for that. I call bull; they're not even trying to make decent FGs at all. But what makes me mad is that people buy hype, not solid games. @#$$#$^% I'm outta here before I go into a rant. :P Oh, they ARE doing one thing right, though: SFIII online. That's the game to look out for.

Meh, I'd take oki if it meant more pushback on block/barrier. Some characters have pretty aggravating pressure atm since barrier sucks at keeping them out. I want FD pushback, dangit! I'd gladly take oki since I like keeping some space, y'know? There's CA, but that's 50 meter you could better spend imo.

Just takes practice. Return to neutral after 2c, then quickly do an sj. You'll get the rhythm down with practice. @JF: Your valiant efforts are recognized! Yeah, I hear BMW has some of the world's best bikes. I might get one in the future because they have ABS braking. I don't think I'll be too picky about my first bike, but I'm staying away from pure Sport stuff at least. The power and handling + being hunched over isn't my type, though V-Twin sounds like it might be an exception. I've never heard of Aprilia, I'll have to look that up and pass it by my bro since he's the household nutty engineer.

HELL YEAH DUSTLOOP IS BACK! :D First off, good luck to the Summer Jam crew. Bring back some fight moneys. I also passed my motorcycle theory test today, and signed up for practical lessons which will happen next month. Unfortunately, right in the middle of Otakuthon but I'll manage. So, wassup crew? We have a week's worth of 5am posts to catch up on.

If that were the only problem Haku has, I wouldn't have dropped him for Valk. He's nerfed, you can't even run proper strategies with him since he's now so reliant on meter. His damage is there in the corner, but you have to get them there -- while conserving meter, dishing out low damage, and running poor and inconsistent pressure. His execution also went up in a pretty wonky fashion if you ask me. CS1 execution was non-existent outside of max damage 5c x2/2c stuff. But now it's basically you have to finish your combo or you wasted meter, and combo paths to max efficiency/damage output are harder to pull off/more complex. Essentially, CS2 Haku isn't Tager and you can definitely win with him if your fundamentals are strong, but he still sucks since his design is incompatible with how his current mechanics work.
