Could there be a visual cue added to the new character sub-forums that tells whether there's a new post? One thing I liked about the previous layout was being able to tell at a glance if a discussion was going on.

Yeah, ain't gonna make it but today I suppose that was expected. :P For new schedule... err... no day is 100% good for me, but the weekend is generally cool. @Nini: Congrats on SRK front page. -

Damn... End of an era. Thanks for the good times, Cranky. I guess it's off to look for the next place which I assume will be Foonzo. Might be good if we could find a dedicated place that doesn't cost anything, but Foonzo it is until further notice. I'll see about being there Jul 15th. -

@Rhannmah hating on DS: Lol, that has to suck. I killed him once I saw the first few irrelevant dead bodies, so I got some cool armor out of it. :] Still, DS is an awesome game in so many ways. I totally love it, and is why I already pre-ordered Dark Souls last month. @Ken: Sweet, ditched the pyramid scheme old job already? New one best be bringing in the moolah. @Bayonetta: I actually bought the game at MATVIII! I've only put in 45m so far though, lol. Pretty cool game, though not sure if it beats DMC just yet. @Pedro's Excellent Adventure: Damn. We've got Snake in the community. Eb, don't hate. If anything, the drug barons want his ass for busting cocaine rings and shit. -

ITT: People who don't know the greatness of Demon's Souls. Heathens, all. May you have safe passage, Krew. Umbasa. ----- @SFIII is hard: I'll have to play it to see it. I don't plan on getting anything more than competent, so it shouldn't be too hard to work fundamentals and get somewhere. -
I do 2c -> 529 -> Hotaru. Works like a charm.

How the heck... ? Does it have a piece of scotch tape tied to the wire, close to the controller? That'd be mine because I am indeed out one good controller. I don't know how I misplaced it since I'm conscientious about that stuff, but eh. If you can hold on to it until next we meet, I'd be happy. I won't touch my Ps2 for a good while, so it can wait a couple weeks if you're ok with that too. :] ----- On SFIII, I'll be playing. It's SF so I figure it should be pick-up-and-play so no need to spend years just learning a character/game from scratch. -

I play for peak performance though, not trolling. And that takes a lot of time to get good at. :/ Eh, I'll have to give it some thought whatever the case. -
Awesome tourney, best one yet out of MTL! GGs to those I played even though my Haku wasn't all that this weekend. GG was a ton of fun despite sucking at it too lol. Shoutouts to TO for making it out to MTL. Love you guys! Shoutouts to MTL for making up for T11. Off to T12! Shoutouts to Eb for being the comedian. This guy needs his own standup routine at Just for Laughs. Shoutouts to Kaeru for being cool and talking motorcycles. I might just get one sooner than I thought! Shoutouts to Pedro and Brice for running the show. Stay awesome, guys. Shoutouts to Kirb for repping the new Rachel and being a chill guy. Shoutouts to Lv5-chan. Sleeper hit of the tourney if there ever was one. Crank that unblockable! Shoutouts to MTL food for being top-tier. Let's get something just as awesome going come T12! Also, I have to admit being very confused at Linear/Leo. I thought you guys took over Linear's name and switched tags or something. Wasn't it Zeero as Leo ans Leo as Linear? I -- I've been so confused.

Man, awesome day. And DL is finally back up too, lol. Shouts in the other thread. My couple weeks old Haku performed worse than I'd thought. He changed too much to get used to in so short a time. That said, I'm actually contemplating dropping BB. I just don't have the kind of time needed to relearn a character all over again anymore. Or I might just use someone simple like Ragna or something. Or I might just be demoralized from my performance and I'm exaggerating. We'll see. -

I might not get there before noon, actually, but I don't think the tourney will be started by then. Pedro, double to triple the time alloted for each game, and we have us an accurate schedule. You'll recall Nemesis took 7h to get BB done and that was with just 25 entrants. 2-3h is very optimistic. -
He might have, I don't think I've seen any vids of his any later than 2-3 months after CS1 came out. Then again, that PSR might just be highest of any JP Haku, so I don't know. It is an SBO qualifier so maybe it was just nerves? The black/red Haku had good style, though. Too bad he was up vs. Hima who I think is a strong contender for a top spot in SBO. His Valk is just that strong. In any case, I'm sticking to Chin for now. I really think he's the most solid of all Hakus I've seen yet.

Nah, I actually really like how he plays, it's just that it's going to take a couple months before I can be as comfortable with him as with his CS self. So in the meantime I think I'll work on my Valk and Jin. Haku's new combo pathways feel really bizarre atm, and I need to re-learn his options. ----- I also agree with Zeero. Let's seed and separate by region (perhaps even going so far as to select individual brackets). -

... I, for one, really might tierwhore CS2, or at least switch to Valk for a while. CS2 Haku is proving too much work to get good with atm. His meter gain and 2a nerf really hurt. That said, I still expect to blow people up in the corner with 6k combos. Make e'm salty with a low-tier hero. -

Damnit Twiggy, you ask at the worst times. My bro's likely working this weekend so I won't have the car. It's why I'm uncertain as to what time I'll be at the tourney. Hmm... Maybe I could cut a deal with him or it'll turn out he doesn't work. I won't rule the car out just yet. If it turns out I have it, consider yourself lucky and I'll give ya a free lift. :] -

Added what I can bring. I note I'm the only one with Ps2 so far. I'll assume Rhanmmah and Brice have the other 2 regular Ps2s. Btw, I haven't checked my Ps2 in a while. I'll see if the p1 port is still working later tonight. -
CHIN!!!! :yaaay::yaaay: Downloading at the speed of light! EDIT: Damn, is Jin really that hard to play against? Still, good IB, nice combo selection, and good decisions overall though he seemed a tad more turtle-y than usual. I <3 this guy. He needs more match vids up on YT.

Omar. I guess I'll have to rep Slayer, then. With style. CS2 Haku challenges are hella easy. Try these combos instead: 1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkBOxQPCV0M 2) [midscreen] 5c -> Renka(1) -> Kishuu -> 2c -> sj.Hotaru -> AD (not IAD!) -> j.2c -> 2c -> j.2a -> AD j.2a -> j.C 3) [corner] 5c -> Renka(1) -> Kishuu -> 2c -> Hotaru -> j.2c -> 5c -> 2c -> sj.2a -> j.2c -> 2c -> j.2a -> AD j.2a -> delay j.2a -> j.C -> 5c 4) Hop Hotaru FC -> IAD -> j.2c -> 2c -> j.2a -> AD j.2a -> j.C 5) [midscreen] TK/Hop Tsubaki -> IAD j.2c -> etc. That's his hard stuff. And I could list more if you want. I challenge thee to execute! -

I don't think we've tossed around the idea yet, but I think it'd be cool to do. It would depend on how much time we got, though I think we could do it on Sunday after grand finals for the main games are over. 5v5 would be hype. I'm all for it. -

AM, what you applying for? RQ sounds a lot more boring than Eidos, haha. -
Is there any legit use for Zantetsu in combos? I believe this move went from situational use in CS to virtually worthless in CS2. It's simply not worth the expenditure when you have higher damage options for less mag. It's still good as a conditioned overhead once in a while, though I'd only use if they're low on hp and I've got some mag to spare. Otherwise, it's trash.

Thanks for the correction, Ryoko. Always appreciated.

^ I have to say that that variation has been a godsend. Makes the combo slightly easier to do. I've also done a bit of testing today: - For those having trouble with Hotaru -> IAD j.2c -> 2c -> etc., switch 2c to 5a. The combo becomes a fuckton easier. - For 5c -> Renka(K) -> 2c -> forward j.Hotaru -> etc., it's really fsj.Hotaru. It's the best way to get that height you need to AD. - [stuff that knocks down] -> 2c -> Gurren -> etc., is character-specific. I've identified Makoto and Ragna as culprits needing 2b -> Gurren instead, among others. - Apparently, you can't Dustloop off 5D(!). At least, the other guys techs out before I can land 2c. Best to just go for meterless or 1s expenditure on this counter it would seem. Also updating those counter combos asap.
