I agree. Always play who you enjoy the most, be it their design, moves, story, playstyle, or whatever. It's a game and you should be enjoying it. I also agree with the idea that having a low tier character does force you to think more on what you, as a player, can do instead of utilizing something that is naturally good in the top tier characters. I'm not saying this isn't necessary in the high tier characters, but I think you'll grow more as a player if you've got the determination to take the losses and learn with the underpowered character.

I'd check the combo thread. That includes the the 1.0 combo thread since all of her combos from then still work. You'll probably find more starting information in there. There are a number of places to go from both grabs and 236B. For 236B specifically, you usually cancel it (22A) into either 5D or 3C depending on the characters. 5D will work on everyone, but the 3C routes vary on character. Some you can 3C > 236D~C > 3C ~ and others you can 3C > 236D~C > 2B ~ . There are so many different routes (which makes it so much fun), so take a look at those combo threads and pick out some basic ones to get you started. Starting out, just getting something you can confirm into while working on your neutral game and matchup experience is a great way to go imo. You can always change what you do on the confirms as you get more comfortable with the character/engine.

Luna 5D beats the orb. I find that Kaguras who play a bit more patiently a better off (as usual). There is no real reason for her to close the gap if she has life lead (though, I go a lot anyway..it's more fun that way) so work your way in slowly...and don't wyvern all day as it's expected. Our 5D can CH on startup..especially when you drop down into it from a j.D(?). Just a couple cents from the other side.

GG always had different guts ratings and defense multipliers for each character. So those with high guts would take much less damage at lower health. It was another set of mechanics which could be the deceptive factor you're seeing. I haven't seen the data on the new one, however.
