I always space out a 214D or a close 214D in Luna to bait them. I see it offline too. It's great for free CHs. Smart ones will dash in and growler though after catching on.

This news hasn't affected my interest in Nu. It's still there and solid. We have plenty of time to enjoy this Nu before the changes hit us. They haven't even announced a date for console stuff anyway. Our combos and tools may change, but the most important part with Nu is neutral anyway, so what we learn now will not all be lost.

I don't have too much problems with Calamity Sword..it's that damn counter assault. I don't know why I'm so terrible at it, but I usually just end up getting hit.

You say that you've played hundreds of matches online. Are you taking some time after a set to watch the replays? If you're finding that you're not getting better, critiquing your own play is always an option. Look at your matches and see how you could have avoided being put into certain situation or identify strings or situations where you're having trouble blocking. If you find something like that, you can focus in a certain part of your play and work on it specifically. Spend a day really trying to react and AA some jump-ins if you find that you keep getting hit by them. Playing a lot of rounds and practicing is the best way to learn, but you have to be in the right mindset and use that time as productively as possible.

It works well with Kagura at times, but usually when he's just throwing out his orbs. After it's out, it's easy for him to wyvern through it if you try to 5D. I usually just wait and bait a wyvern (they're always coming) and punish from there. For nails, it'll absorb all three of them and hit him if you do it soon enough, otherwise you may take a hit, but so does he and he doesn't get his free pressure and loses 3 nails. I don't get to play Litchis very often, but I did do a set last night with a Kasumi and I found it helped a lot there as well.

Besides Dia Nu, it does great against Bullets using flintshooter to approach. I like it against Hazama and Bang. 2Ding Bang's triple nail is great in Luna and not so great in Dia as he'll land and combo you after your Dia swords just trade the nails. Hazama has faster recovery and usually gets in/away after a clash of sword/chain.

Well, that would be expected as Lambda is coming from Nu and at this point, that's the only area we can "speculate" from.

I agree. I wish there had been a post stating why so we knew what went wrong. I didn't feel that we were getting out of line or aggressive, so it could have been something else.

Well, she has one only half the time now (obviously based on playstyle) and usually depends on system mechanics to get out of the corner under pressure..so how much of a loss is it...really?

Lambda wasn't garbage. She was a lot of fun to play and mid-tier is a great place to be.

But SWD, REGARDLESS of what we will lose. We still don't know what we'll gain. I know you put a lot of work into this iteration of Nu, but we can't change it. We can only hope that we'll get something of equal or better value.

Or they'll give her something new to work with. I don't think they're just going to strip her bare and not give her something to fill the gaps. Our combos will change, but either new moves or damage will be adjusted.

If payment is an issue, then that's something else. I never have problems buying character dlc or new versions. I know a lot of people hate it, but honestly, with how much time I've given this game, I could have paid 300 dollars for it back in October and it would STILL be a better entertainment value for my money than any Blu-ray/movie ticket/Adventure game I have ever bought. I want them to have my money so that the games keep coming and the support and community stays.

I agree that it shouldn't be called a waste of time. It was a ton of fun (and still is), but we still don't know what is coming. We could get some mechanic changes for both of them that give us two characters of this amount of enjoyment to play with. I hope even those of us that really enjoy the stance switching will look back and see it as crap compared to what we have in the new Nu/Lambda. I know being hopeful is usually bad, but fuck it. This is Nu and it's not like I'm going to stop using her or Lambda just because something major changes. They're the reason I play this game...hence my lack of subs.

Come on guys..let's be serious. I don't think there are enough people playing Nu to get numbers like 99% and 1%.

I like Nu as a character more as well. I enjoy both playstyles, so the only option is play both for me. Today has been a really depressing day..my heart...it just aches..

Looking at the small drives of Lambda, I wonder if they'll still be higher projectile level than Nu's.

I'll either main Nu and sub Lambchops or dual main them and just mode change at the character select screen. We'll see when we learn more.

I always loved it. The opponent had to constantly pay attention to what mode we were in and we could easily switch it up based on the situation. We'll have to wait and see what we're getting for each character still. I'll be playing both. Who knows, maybe they'll find a way to make them both independently entertaining to play. I would prefer not to get a CT Nu back though. She's too fun now to return to it. Hoping for some new mechanics for them both.

I can only hope now that they give it to us early. Octoberish for arcades and some console love shortly thereafter. I know this is a longshot, but this would be the third time I've gone to Japan only to be denied high level play because of major Nu changes that have yet to be released in the US. God..this lack of mode switching just ruins my day. Yesterday, I was kind of looking forward to learning a new sub. Today, I'm having to learn two full characters again. Why couldn't they have just taken one of my kidneys or something instead..

Well, I'm sad. I hope they show off some new abilities for each of them. I really enjoyed the mode switch.

A theme song maybe, but I'd be surprised if she got a stage. They'll probably just default her to Nu's.
