  1. It was a lot fun to play you. I always have problems with Jin, haha. We should play more. Well played, sir.
  2. Thanks guys. I watched the upload. There were some good matches. I definitely thought something was up in Mac's match. Well played everyone.
  3. Awesome. I couldn't stay to watch it...but on the other hand, my gf evolved into a fiance..so I guess it was worth it. Thanks for uploading.
  4. I'd like to see this uploaded if possible. I look forward to watching it.
  5. GGs Toan. I know the mirror is kind of stupid, but I still had fun. Well played.
  6. I've never experienced this person. I guess not being able to play much recently has its good sides.
  7. That's true Airk, it doesn't get rid of the speech bubbles. I don't talk to many people in the speech bubbles as they make it difficult to have a conversation. I just use the "players met" (or friends list for that matter) and go through PSN. haha Errol. Just ignore him. He'll give it up eventually...*cough*...and by "him", I obviously mean "them" as in anyone challenging you..not a specific person..>.>
  8. If I am in the lobby and someone is being an ass to people or using the "I'm a god/fuck you and your K-mart connection" option select, I just ignore them and turn off the chat for a bit. I see it as the same as walking into an arcade and there's that fat, hygiene-deficient kid who's trash talking everyone there for a good time over his CoD/Halo skills when his opponents are just there to have fun. Only this time, I can turn it off. I just close the whole chat. I also won't sit and play the person regardless of skill level, connection, or needed MU experience. They're a hindrance to the community and not worth the time of anyone online. My only hope is that they get bored of the game and move on. If there is a connection issue, you can easily ask where the person is located or try to find the source together..as it does affect both parties. If you lost and it WAS due to lag, simply say your "ggs" and move on to a better connection opponent. Being an irritating child online benefits no one and won't help solve any connection issues. /petpeave off
  9. I'll probably be there a bit every year or so, so I'm sure something can happen eventually.
  10. Damnit. I was going to stop in Kyoto on the way to Kagawa..I would have loved some offline matches with you.
  11. We're looking at the week before Christmas to the second week of January. As for where, I'll be all over, really. Her family lives in Kagawa (S), but I'll be visiting friends in Osaka (SW), Tokyo (E), and Niigata (NW). Every time I go, I always end up grabbing a train pass and running around a lot. I really wish I could afford both that trip and EVO, but with school loans kicking me in the groin, getting engaged, and EVO being so close, I don't see it happening. People will have to throw swords in my stead this time around. Of course, I haven't been able to practice much lately anyway, so it works out I guess.
  12. I'll miss it this year, unfortunately. I will instead be spending a month in Japan come winter to meet the in-laws, meet friends, and get some arcade time in. I really wanted to be there this year since CP made it to the major lineup, but apparently it wasn't meant to be.
  13. FT10 Nu mirrors..I'll pass on watching that.
  14. I'm not sure which is worse. The persistent lag through the match, or those major spikes that give you the false sense of security just to rip it away as soon as you try to confirm something. A pet peeve(if you would call it that) of mine would be those days when you either work insane hours or just have to wait to play and then when you finally get some time in, you're tired as hell and just feel like trash wasting your time. This is especially bad when you get into the lobby and see so many good people on for a change and your matches don't feel as great as you know they usually do.
  15. I say don't avoid anyone. If anything, look for the best Carl you can find. If you pick up Nu, you're going to get wrecked while you learn how to deal with the MUs and the character. Your gameplan will change and you'll have to look at each of your tools in each MU to figure out what is the best choice. It'll come to you and be natural, but running from Mus won't help. That can be said about any character in any fighting game. If you're having trouble fighting any one character, play it and study what your options are. You've just got to have the attitude and resilience to lose and find out why. Playing Nu, you'll be punished very heavily for your mistakes. Like Elegant mentioned, many times one fuck up will cost you the match. I think that adds to the excitement, but what you take from it is up to you. If you're just starting the game in general, she may not be the best choice, but it depends where your priorities are. I didn't even care to play the game until they announced her for CT, so for me, she was the reason to play. It's all in your hands. You've got resources though, so use it and enjoy yourself on the way.
  16. I read this thread quite often at work for that reason. You are not alone.
  17. If I sit at an unoccupied cab, I usually keep the PC/Vita handy just in case I'm waiting a bit.
  18. I'm just going to go dark green and switch my avatar to Noel/Ragna. The light blue is too obvious.
  19. Honestly, I'm not sure if that should be classified as good luck...or bad luck.
  20. Too many..w..what? I don't think this is possible. Did you misspell "not enough"?
  21. This looks fun. I'll definitely tune in to watch it. GL guys.
  22. I laughed. Poor Tager. I miss the 236C > 236C > 236C > 236C combos from Extend. Those were always good for a laugh.
  23. I use the j.2DD > j.214D~C > j.DD~ stuff when I catch any 6Ds or 2Ds on their approach. I haven't had time to test mid combo proration and such yet though.
  24. I really enjoyed it and am glad I made it. Great games everyone. There were a lot of great players to play casuals with. Thanks to Badlime and Rei Scarred for the casuals and shooting the shyt with me. Thanks to Axis and Shinsyn for EARLY morning casuals (extra shout outs to Shinsyn for killing the dream...twice. Those were some amazing matches.) I felt like a could do so much more in the lagless environment and really enjoyed throwing swords at so many skilled players. I'll have to work hard (when I can) to place higher next time, but even without the tournament, the casuals were worth the trip. Well played everyone and I look forward to more opportunities in the future.
  25. It depends on the follow-up usually. For the one you listed, I usually wait until they're around 30-45 degrees above the horizontal before pressing D. If you're following up with a 236D~C, then it's around 45. Usually just feel is the best way to do it though. Spamming D like a madman will usually end in dropped stuff in this version..not to mention get you in bad habits.
