  1. When I get the game again, we can play all the time like we used to. Xithmos, you always say you're working on something, but I always see you sitting on modern warfare 2.
  2. No, I mean when you guys arrange a time to play. If I'm gonna get the game, I want my first day having it back to be awesome.
  3. Xithmos, you seriously have the same exact list I was thinking about at first, but I decided to put Potemkin instead of Anji, because of what I said about potemkin. BTW, I've decided that I will get GG2, but only once a time to play has been decided.
  4. So anyways, I'm kind of bored, so I wanted to do a little "what if". What 5 characters from the guilty gear fighters would you like to see in this game? The first character I want is ABA, since she is my favorite character hands down. I love how crazy she is, and I think they could incorporate her blood system with her servants in an interesting way. Next I would have to say Dizzy. She was my favorite before ABA came along. I think she would definitely have a more strategic playstyle like Paradigm, and Valentine, also, it would be fun to have a little fanservice being able to have Ky and Dizzy on a team. The next character I would like to see is Potemkin. I'm not a huge fan of him, but I feel that he could add a huge amount of variety and uniqueness to the cast, even though they are all very unique as it is. He could take Sols place of being the strong master with weak servants. They could make him deal more damage to things that he runs into with blast drive, and he should have a personal skill that allows him to capture a ghost instantly, though maybe give it a long cooldown time, or require a lot of tension. I think there is a lot of things they could do to make Potemkin very interesting in this game. My 4th choice would have to be I-NO. Another one of my favorite characters, and they could incorporate her flying dash into her blast drive, which could allow her to go over things like mines and bananas. My last choice is such a hard choice to make, too many great characters to choose from, but I'm gonna go with May. Seeing May and Valentine have the ultimate battle for loli supremacy would be the most awesome dream come true for me.
  5. What a boring response, Xithmos. Oh and Tobal, you asked me when I would be getting this again, and I'm not sure exactly. I have the money to get it, but there are other things that I'm wanting right now as well, so It's just a matter of me deciding what I want more.
  6. Xithmos, don't put complicated and blazblue together ever again.
  7. It's good that these are just examples, since many of these combos look very awkward and not worth using. Xithmos always tries to put his own twist on everything, instead of sticking with what works.
  8. I remember the days of having xithmos as a 2v2 partner. We would usually do decent, but Xithmos would always do some dumb crap and lose the battle, even though we had the clear advantage. Like one time he started fighting AJ at one of his ghosts, while he was 1 death away from losing, and we have the whole field under our control. Ayumu is actually a pretty good team partner, imo. Ayumu turtles a lot, but actually backs you up with servants, keeps his side of the field stable, and knows how to retreat when the situation isn't looking too good, so you don't feel like you have to babysit him all the time. The only problem I have with Ayumu is that he doesn't capitalize on important moments, or ever aim for field advantage, so whoever his partner is has to be more aggressive on their half of the field to make sure that you are getting enough mana.
  9. I put all of the vids xithmos made into my playlist.
  10. I don't want this topic to get too out of hand, but Xithmos, not making the video isn't really the problem, at least not for me, but you could have at least said that you were busy with other things, or that your capture card wasn't working right. Keep people informed on the situation, even if it's not with a favorable answer. Also, the way I called you out was a bit childish, so I'm sorry about that. That's all I gotta say about that situation. Sol having mobiles is an interesting subject, but I guess maybe they just wanted you to take better advantage of stuff like his gigant. All of Sol's current units have a pretty hard time being integrated into his game effectively as it is, so giving him another type to worry about, might just make things more confusing. Sol not having a mobile doesn't bother me much anyways, since that's less I have to think about when putting together my army.
  11. It's ok to not count on Xithmos for anything, since he offered to make a video for a game he recommended to me. Something that probably would have taken 10 minutes, but of course that never happened. As for Sol having no mobile. I think he would be too over the top with a mobile. Sol is a fast paced character, and having a normal servant that could get around fast as well could make him quite overwhelming. Sol already starts most fights off with an advantage, since he can kill servants more efficiently then the other characters, so if he wasn't lacking a servant type, then he wouldn't have as much of a weakness when it comes to servants. Just like Valentine not having a regular armor servant. Her servants inflict a lot of very annoying status effects that make it very difficult to fight them in large numbers, but the obvious weakness to this is that they die quickly. If she had armor units mixed with all her magic and ranged units, it would be practically impossible to approach that army with any sort of efficiency.
  12. They need to make a sequel, and not even call it guilty gear, so that the game doesn't get blasted to hell by the 2d fanboys, before it's even released.
  13. It's valid, but mostly only practical for punishing Valentine's back y move.
  14. I would be there if I had the money for the game. Mentioning me having fun with Blazblue is so lol to me, since I have a serious burning hatred towards Blazblue for ruining what little online community this game once had. I just play it, since I have nothing else to play on my 360, and my psp is somewhat out of commission at the moment.
  15. OMFG I just found out I'm not going to be able to work this weekend, so now I have to wait even longer before I have the money for GG2. I'm going to go crazy being stuck with only Blazblue for all this time.
  16. Well my gamestop has like 3 copies used for only $20 bucks. Problem is that I spent too much money on my 360, and I also had to do other crap like renew my gold subscription. I'm either going to have to wait until after this weekend for when I get paid, or come up with some other quick way to make $20.
  17. Well guys, I got some good news, and some bad news. Good news is that my 360 is back in action. Bad news is that I still don't have a copy of GG2 yet.
  18. Super armor means that you still receive damage, but you can't be flinched. The best example being Sol's Volcanic Viper.
  19. The dizzy hit is useless anyways. Your chances of actually hitting someone with it are next to none. Quadra Baliff is pretty dangerous, and it's pretty much impossible to fight in a normal fashion around it. The best thing to do is knock it away, or even just try to kill it real quick with a fast powerful combo, otherwise throw a bomb at it to knock it down, or what may be the most practical method is to just simply retreat. One thing about it is that it has to "reload" after shooting, which gives you a good amount of time to do whatever you need to do, so go into training, and watch it's attack patterns to see when it leaves openings. It's the first elite I unlock with Ky and Sin, and I carry it with me everywhere. It's perfect for protection, or for master hunting. If you're opponent doesn't have the means to protect their master ghost, you can easily use it for a sneak attack. The queen is great, because of it's speed and ability to capture ghosts quickly, and even though it has little health, it's still somewhat of a pain to kill. Early in the fight when servants are spread thin, you can easily send the queen down all kinds of paths to quickly capture and defeat weaker servants. This means you don't even have to bother with fully depleting the servants health. You can just drop them down to around 20% of their health and let the queen clean up for you. You can also follow the queen and quickly take control of several ghosts in a short amount of time, since you don't have to waste time picking it up and dropping it, and it captures at a faster rate then other units. It's also good for stalling. It can keep your opponents servants from progressing, and it's a cheap spammable unit, so you can keep a path blocked off for a while with it. The thing is that you have to get this unit out at the beginning of the fight. Once your opponent has stronger servants on the field, it starts to become useless unless it's fighting something it's strong against, or keeping a master busy. Later in the fight it's best used as a watchdog. Place it somewhere important so that you can keep tabs on what's going on around the area, or if you need aid quickly within your area, you can summon it, and it will be able to get to you quickly. The queen is a tough unit to use effectively, and I honestly don't use it that often myself, since it doesn't really fit into my playstyle. As for the Bonebiter. Anti armor rods, or 50% dragon install crush this unit. I'm not sure about dispel and all that, but one thing that really hurts you against bonebiter is damage scaling. Bonebiter can't be knocked over, so the only way to reset damage scaling against is to wait a set period of time in between attacks. If you keep attacking it in quick succession, your damage starts getting scaled to the point where you're doing practically nothing to it.
  20. Sol's free attack has some uses. After dizzying a master, if you have full tension you can space yourself and use your overdrive, so that the first hit whiffs, and the second hit lands, which is about 300 damage they can't burst out of. Otherwise you can just use a power attack, or whatever. Dizzy scales damage like crazy, though, so you don't have a lot of good options off of it. Also, this needs testing, but I believe some parts of Sol's free attacks have super armor, which can make them good for countering. On a side note. I might be back soon, but don't get too hopeful, since I know I've said that before. Things have just been hectic lately with school and work, and I'm barely in my house long enough to sit down and play a console game, but things should start to calm down within the next month, so I should be able to get back to playing this.
  21. The Japanese really do like this game, and I can see that Arc is very much aware of how much they like it, since they still support it, despite it having some of the most awful sales around. I think a lot of people that would like this game overlooked it, just because they didn't bother to try it, and form their own opinion. Instead, they just jumped on the hate train from the poor reviews, and people whining because it's not a 2d fighter. This game still captures the deep, complex, and competitive elements that the 2d guilty gears have, just in a different format, and I definitely give Daisuke props for trying something that most other developers wouldn't try. I really look forward to seeing a sequel to this game, because now that they have a strong foundation, they can expand and refine this game to something even more amazing than what it already is.
  22. Sin has a lot of recovery on his normals, so if you can get him to whiff, then you can jump in and punish. Ky can probably do this the best, as he can safely stun edge, or stun dipper just out of his attack range, and cancel into a combo. With other characters you just have to step forward and attack at the right time. His sweeping move is by far the easiest to punish. You can jump out of beak driver on block, and if they continue to do the second hit of it, you can punish them from the air. Rapid fire, bombs, and other items are also extremely useful, since Sin will always be keeping his distance from you. And I know what string you're talking about with Kou2007. For whatever reason it seems the delay with him is somewhat bad, sometimes I can't even sidestep out of the 3rd hit of Sol's neutral string when I play against him. Also, I want to talk about Sol's gunflame. It's a relatively underused move with him, but it has some really strong potential, it's good for hit trading, and string mixup, as it launched the enemy, and they will likely tech, which means that you can tech chase them, and Sol can tech chase pretty well. Gunflame can't be sidestepped, so if you throw it out as mixup in a string that someone would normally try to sidestep, then they will get caught in the gunflame. You can also use it as a pressure tool as well by canceling it. Gunflame canceled into guard break attack is a good finisher, since your opponent won't be able to see it coming from behind the flames. The only downside of course, is that gunflame takes a good amount of tension, but when used right, you can put the battle in your favor.
  23. Sol actually doesn't have any in-escapable block strings. In fact, you can sidestep out of any of his strings at pretty much any point. The biggest problem here, though, is online latency. Even with the best connections, you're probably still getting a tiny bit of delay, that is pretty much unnoticeable to a human, but it's enough to go from sidestepping and punishing Sol consistantly, to eating guard break nonstop. Your best bet against Sol online is to try and jump out of his strings, since even if you do get hit, you will be able to recover quicker.
  24. You should probably find a way to compile all your guides, because most of them are getting buried away, making them pretty useless. You could probably make another topic for it, or something, but either way I think people are going to have a hard time finding some of the earlier ones.
  25. Aedesyr, the online does have some freezing and glitch problems. These are the ones I've seen. When you upload a replay after a ranked match, it can possibly keep you stuck at the result screen, the only way out is to go to dashboard, or have someone invite you to a game, and accept it. If you win when this happens It still counts towards the achievement, but it won't be reflected on your player status. I'm not sure what the trigger is, but it seems like it might be if both people don't say yes, or no to the upload. Leaderboard glitch. Sometimes when on the true skill section of the leaderboard, the game will just freeze up. I haven't figured out the exact trigger, since I started to stay away from it after it happened twice. Game freezes during a match. This seems to randomly happen if you're playing in a room with a high ping/delay. I never really got this while playing with any other american players, but I have had it happen several times during matches with Japanese players, and more so in 4 player games.
