Okay guys I took into my hands to go over all of the Zappa love threads and completely update them to AC. Its long overdo. I individually went to through every move and made sure that they are properly described in their AC states. I also added combos as well as general strategies about how the summons should be played. Many details are more in-depth than they were before. I also tried to give more details on how to use the dog, which brings me to a perplexing question. I remember there being a really in-depth guide to how to use the dog. Where the heck did that go? So anyways I'm about to post all of the changes that I made. Look around for any mistakes but for the most part I would suggest deleting whats in the older threads and copying and pasting what I have here. You'll notice that what I have is still in the same format and order as when Dangief did the orginals. Hope you like them!! This extends to the second page for those of you whose settings have this. I'm still correcting this. I see that there are still some stuff I want to put in. Still open to suggestions about whats here.

You gotta do a really good drill cancel. That is very close to the opponent and very low to the ground. This will give you enough time to run forward (an extremely short run forward) and connect with 5P. Keep in mind that the opponent has to be crouching.

I have. And good god its one sided. -_- Its more like, who ever gets into Moroha mode first wins.

Be patient. Don't rush him down if he's on the just chill back and poke with j.HS. If he's too high, once again chill and throw out items. If bridget performs his j.421HS (the one where the bear falls and tackles you) you can take it out with 2K. This will prevent unblockable setups from Bridget. That's my 2-1/2 cents.

There is no better way than playing around with him for fun with other people until you begin to grasp all that he has to offer. Then take it from there to learn all of his crap. Learning Zappa is the same thing as learning GG in general, you gotta take him all in slowly.

Zappa's FRC timing for his sword's 236S is probably his most difficult one to master because its distance dependent. Its right around the first few frames where Zappa is able to perform his HS follow-up which, once again, varies depending how far of a distance you've traveled before you hit your opponent on your first hit. But the FRC is relatively soon after the first hit if that helps. To see what I'm talking about, go to the start menu then go to "Display" and then set it to either "input" or "both." Then do the move. Where the input bar flashes blue is where the FRC point is. If you notice, if you do 236S and miss the opponent, the FRC point won't even show up because there is no HS followup to time FRC point. Edit: the frc point is actually right before the sword starts to extends outward after the first hit.

If I remember correctly, they weren't near the corner so May most likely would've been knocked too far for the S flower to hit.

Nemo use to be my favorite Faust. The guy was original and a beast. I barely saw him when slash came out and rarily do I see vids of him in AC. He owns in most of the ones I've seen though. But R.F. is where its at right now. I didn't like him as much at first but I can definitely see him as being the better faust. Nemo needs to play more for me to change my opinion.

I only use far 2H in block stings only in a different method. Usually when you have your opponent in a blocksting you'll experience pushback. While you're pushing away from your opponent, the ghosts have to reach farther to hit the opponent. If I hit 2H right when the ghosts' previous attack connects, the 2H pokes out a lot farther than normal because the ghost was already there waling on the opponent.

I hear ya man. I play a really really good Chipp player in NC(who also happens to have Kensou on speed dial =/) and I agree with all of your problems now. Despite Faust being so good in AC for some reason I noticed that the matchup for Chipp and Faust have switched. For once this in Chipp's favor. Anyways: Yes what makes Chipp so difficult is that as you know, he has ridiculous pokes. They're well ranged, fast, and very meaty. When Chipp has Faust in the corner, Chipp can out zone Faust. Chipp can reach in and attack Faust but Faust can't do the same because all of his long range stuff is too slow to beat chipps crap. First things first, your two best weapons or j.HS and item throw. Both Chipp and Faust are in the air alot. You gotta control the air better than Chipp. Like you said FDC HS is a must as well as regular jump HS. Item throws are a given as they can save you in a pinch. On the ground 2HS is a good poke. My problem is everytime I use it my opponent wants to jump. Best time to use it is when your opponent just lands or when you're doing a block string. With Chipp in the air so much, you have to learn to jump cancel the first hit of Faust's 2K on reaction into an air combo when you hit Chipp. Was that what you meant by miss timing the kick? Don't try to anit-air him if he's not IAD'ing. If he's just coming straight down on top of you, its probably from a teleport (or worse, an FRC'd teleport) He's more than likely to throw out that j.D or j.HS you were talking about. That stuff has too much proriety. Anti-air(AA) chipp with any of Faust's moves is 50/50 really. Ug, Chipp and his ground game. I agress also that 2D and Gamma Blade are any Chipp opponent's worst nightmare. Use the occasional bomb bag to turtle. Your best bet is to some how get a knock down. with 2D. Its a good poke if and only if Chipp is not already attacking you. If he already has you in a block string then don't do it because he probably has a frame trap with your name on it. If you're in the middle of the screen and you have a decent block string going against him throw out an item. Seriously, like any match, throw out as many items as possible. So there you go, some thoughts from a fellow anti-chipp player. In a sense, we're both fighting against Kensou.

Yeah I couldn't find DarthTrey's post either until now. Anyways... yeah Wirya's right. However, DarthTrey, 2D does combo after 2K after the 3rd hit. Also I don't think anyone can be by 236S pogo after the 2S. Does your dummy in Training mode have Recovery set on? It should be on front or back. Also all of the female characters minus ABA can be hit by Pogo after a 2D. I don't think any of the males can.
-
In addition: 6HS(not to be used as a gatling with 2K): Overhead and very good damage. Slow and can be seen coming. Throw this move out every now and then to catch your opponent off guard. If it connects follow up with 236S pogo and continue from there. If it is blocked, you can still go to pogo or 236P item throw. But whether your opponent is hit or whether he or she blocked it always cancel it into one of those two moves as the recover from 6HS is horrendous.

Yeah, Kaqn seriously does know how to play a lot of characters.

Faust's hand slap force break is good. That combo that you use after it is about as best as you can do. You could also run in after the FB and do 5k,jk,s,k,js,hs or you can throw out an item. after a successful hit with the pogo FB you do pogo P, pogo S, then pogo HS. So some characters you need to hit P imediately and for some you may have to delay P so that S can hit properly afterwards.

Okay guys I think its time to update the Love threads. We shouldn't put this off like we did with Slash. Theres too much new stuff to not have posted in those threads. So whos up for it?
-
That's because no one can. He has the out right fastest backdash in the game which is one of the reason's why its considered one of the best BD in the game as mentioned by other people. Also would a pro be that he also has the highest jumps in the game (I think tied with ABA)?

hmm.. Doubt it. I'm just going to assume the wii version of GGAC will have a direct translation.

Yeah most 2nd attacks lose what what makes them special. 8D, I don't think gives you a soul 2D, is blockable (no soul?) 4D D, no longer an overhead.
-
They really are. One of my all time favorite matches was Dio vs. Ken (Zappa player) back in slash. Whoever Zappa player Dio was fighting in the AC matches was amazing aswell.
-
Okizemes that I use: 2K 6HS 2HS FDC jk.->jc2k
-
You can combo after the explosion if you SB it.

I preordered AC kind of late from yes-asia.com so I probably won't be getting AC until the 8th of June.

Actually at this point, I think that's awesome.
