  1. It's not so much the game as it is specifically for Azrael (and few other characters). I made a video showing this "problem" and how it doesn't affect Jin but the exact same inputs cause problems for Azrael. Someone tested it for all the applicable characters and their reasoning was that the priority is different for characters that require the use of some resource as a function of those moves so that you don't screw them up. That doesn't make sense to me because that should be applied across the board since no one wants to screw up inputs. As for any tips on doing it, you really just need to do the input "correctly" and one of the things you can do to help is consciously tell yourself you need to do this input perfectly as you're doing it instead of just using muscle memory and not even thinking. Normally when I'm doing stuff I'm not actually thinking of the inputs since you do them so much in training mode you don't need to. But when you need to be precise I think helps to have it in your head that you're doing it so you are more methodical about it. If that makes sense, lol.
  2. There was a video where it looked like he got thrown out of it. So it appeared as if it had the same properties as Relius' Led Ley, so it was changed. Later it was confirmed otherwise back to what was already there in the frame data and I thought I changed it back but apparently I didn't......? EDIT: Ok I did change it back, I just didn't edit the description of the move itself back to the way it was. Fixed.
  3. Consider it like the dan rank system (or at least how it normally is). To rank up you need to be + a certain amount to get to the next rank. If you go - a certain amount you get demoted. So in this case it seems to be +10/-10 just going by what he's saying. It doesn't necessarily mean you need to win 10 straight, just be consistent enough with winning to go +10 from a starting point of "Even" we'll say. Example: +3W, -2L (+1 overall), +4W (+5 overall), -1L (+4), +5W (+9), -2L (+7), +3W (+10) = Rank Up As for ranking up while losing, I imagine instead of using just whole numbers like +1/-1 a match there are variables. So even if you lost, if it was to someone higher ranked maybe you still go up +0.5. I know in the actual ranked matches you start at Kyu ranks and never go down but don't rank up as fast as winning so I'm guessing that point difference is carried over into the color ranks except you can always go down at least until you're blue or whatever it is.

I've been away for the weekend and haven't had computer access to be able to type a response easily, but the main thing I wanted to say in regards to Valiant/Hornet frame data/discussion is "what you see is what you get". I can only confirm that's what the mook frame data says (and how it was translated at least), so there may or may not be mook errors which has happened before. It should have full GP and only lose to throws/"unblockables" at least going by the mook. Anything that beats it out is probably just due to the move startup being faster than the guard point startup. Otherwise the mook data is wrong somewhere which is entirely plausible. Consider it more like a reasonable guess instead of cold hard facts, then you can test stuff out personally to see any differences (like some of you are). I'd post a raw screencap of the mook and see if someone else wants to try and translate it differently, but considering the fact that there may be errors it kinda defeats the purpose.

  6. After playing the same character for 4+ years with no sub and finally picking up another one I would hope people don't get mad if I pick both whenever I feel like. I know you don't mean me but it seems kinda silly.
  7. Thanks for the heads up. I think at some point I changed that somewhere else because I'm pretty sure we discussed it previously and I guess I didn't go over all the different sections where I mentioned stuff like that. I changed the wording in a few places to fix it and hopefully got them all.

  11. Actually it is supposed to be posted here. The combo thread is supposed to be for STRICTLY posting actual combos, while this thread is for asking questions / discussing things. Which is why I moved some posts one of the other times, and the only reason some of the other posts aren't moved is because they are providing "additional information" about the combos posted. The reason the combo thread is meant to be "just combos" is so that I don't have to go through pages of posts discussing things when I go to update the thread.   12. It depends on when you go into Valiant / which starter. There are some combos with x5 5Cs where you can still get a proper ender (like raw Valiant), which is why you can't just automatically call it part of the loop. 4 is the number that is appropriate in most cases. Even then you really only need as many as it takes to get to the corner, where you would then go into the more advanced Valiant parts. It is the fact that it is easier to just loop the 5Cs for why it is done all the time like that.
  13. No. Example: w/ UW applied do 5A>5BB>TCL>RC>Valiant loop with 5 x 5C and tell me if it works. Also 6A/3C doesn't gatling from 5C.
  14. It isn't a real difference between frame data and is more a function of his forward dash and nature of TKing specials. You have to do it when you need to forward dash cancel into it. Example ~grounded TCL>RC>f.dc>2369D. This is because his forward dash is jump cancelable and from that you can go into specials by TKing the motion. So you forward dash>*during the forward dash*>2369D. This is NOT required if you are doing something like 5C>236A>RC>236D.
  15. In the "Move Notes" section at the beginning of the combo thread the part that actually says "Aerial" has j.D or j.2D ender...... This is why most of the combos say "Aerial" instead of the exact notation since it depends on what is applied or you want to apply.

  23. As long as it is gameplay related you're fine, and how Unlimiteds work are gameplay lol. So you can talk about Unlimited Azrael all you want. Stuff like "How strong do you think Azrael is with his limiters off?" = Not Fine. I'll probably add a small section about Unlimited Azrael in the Character Overview thread if enough information is posted about the differences. Just in case people are curious any further. I haven't bothered to get him yet personally.
  24. We only really saw limited use of it and I didn't really test it much anyway. But if you can force the opponent to block 623C in the corner (while catching potential rolls) it is +12 so that's not exactly a bad thing. I guess it is just a matter of finding the proper use for it or if it is even worth it like you said if 5B does it all anyway.
