  1. The relaunch combos still seem to work, and the IAD j.4C stuff still "works", but we don't know if seal combos still work since it looked like he messed it up during that fight against Amane (he got j.C). It still sucks though since that takes away some of the combo variety. These kinda changes I'm not gonna stress over until we know they are finalized. I'm more interested in how we can effectively use the "new" Steel Rain and air 22A, both of which are either going to be real gimmicky or open up some new opportunities for Bang. superscience mentioned that the Steel Rain takes up 4 nails now, and from what I saw Bang seems to recover fast enough to do something while they are still in blockstun. To me this means we might be able to get some real oki in the corner if they are forced to block the Steel Rain after a knockdown, of course we are still limited by nails. So maybe in the corner we can do knockdown>Steel Rain>air 22A>mix-up. I guess if they are in Steel Rains blockstun we could get any mix-up, so the air 22A wouldn't really be needed unless it helps make it more ambiguous. Or things like jump in>(they try to anti-air)>air 22A>punish their anti-air. Can't wait to see more videos, hopefully with people trying to utilize the new stuff.
  2. That's not true at all, I already gave an example with Final Fantasy 13. I'm not going to keep going on about it though since I already gave my opinion on the situation in that other post.
  3. It is still entirely possible that they won't release a 360 version in Japan though. If I remember correctly Final Fantasy 13 originally didn't have a Japanese 360 release (and Square-Enix is WAY bigger than Arc System Works), it wasn't until much later that it came out on there for Japan. And I'm sure there are other games that never got 360 releases where people thought they would. I'm definitely not saying there won't be a 360 version at all, I'm just saying I would not be surprised if there was no Japanese 360 version from the start. And going by what happened in the past doesn't mean much if the sales from the 360 version continually declined, to the point of being almost non-existent for Extend. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
  4. Does that mean they work like Vergil's sword super in Marvel (Spiral Swords>Blistering Swords), so they will be inescapable in the sense that you will be forced to block the explosion?
  5. Some of those seem questionable to begin with in terms of what they were before already. -623B no longer wall bounces = It doesn't wall bounce in Extend either unless you're near the corner or it is FC. So we can only guess that it doesn't do it at all, but the question is does it still send them towards the corner like now or does it just cause hitstun. I think one of the Unlimited Bangs had a move (I think off the rekkas) where a 623B style attack just caused hitstun and didn't send them flying. Maybe it is the same as that. -5D not being jump cancelable and doesn't combo into 623B = It isn't jump cancelable on block already but if it isn't even on hit then that is weird. As for it not comboing into 623B that is more of a question of can he still at least cancel into it on block, cause you wouldn't really "combo into it" anyway on hit. -The needing all 4 different seals we already questioned through the trailer, so we'll definitely need to confirm/deny that. I'm going with that not being true. -j.623B not wall sticking as much I'm going to guess means it doesn't knock them as far off the wall meaning it has less bounce. From what I've read (for other characters) it actually seems more like a wall stick instead of bounce now that they are going with. This is one that we will have to see or at least hear more about.
  6. Same here. Mashing buttons is so annoying to me.
  7. His new Distortion apparently requires them.
  8. 1. I can most definitely confirm there are new palettes. In one of the pics posted you can see Bang with a palette that isn't in any of the other games. http://www.famitsu.com/images/000/019/284/501faea8ea04b.html
  9. That seems correct. The first time he hits with 6D at 99 secs he gets a seal. Then at 96 secs he hits with 6D and gets another seal. Then followed by 2D for a seal and 5D for a seal. So really they weren't showing us much of anything from that trailer in terms of his drive, except the new distortion. Assuming Overdrives don't give an actual damage boost attribute itself and just act as a means of "strengthening" the character and being better in terms of duration at low health, I don't think I'll have a problem with them in terms of a system mechanic. I see FRKZ being used almost under the same circumstances you would use it already, like I doubt anyone is going to just activate Overdrive early in a round, I'd see it being used either when you or your opponent are at 50% at least. It taking away your burst is just part of it being risk/reward, so I'm ok with that I guess. Steel Rain now being meterless is interesting, I wonder if it is still going to take away all leftover nails and function the exact same way. I think it would actually become really good if it didn't use up the nails and was just a quick 1-2 sec thing just to allow him to get in a little better. Guess we'll find out sooner or later. 22A sounds like a gimmick or almost a joke, I'm wondering if the animation is the same as his intro poses: I'm guessing you could do it to bait out anti-airs then let go to drop and punish. I'm not going to even bother to think about the actual move/combo changes so far since it is way too early to worry about it.
  10. I can't confirm/deny, but I would think it would still work like Gold Bursts, meaning as long as you aren't in blockstun/hitstun you can activate Overdrive. Guess we'll have to wait and hear from someone else to confirm though.
  11. I edited my post that kinda theorized this but i'll mention it again. Technically speaking I don't think there's any waiting period to use Overdrive if you really wanted to. So in theory, much like Gold Bursts, you can probably use it whenever you want. Of course it's actual effectiveness will probably be better at low life as it is mentioned already, so it will last longer which actually makes it worth using. I'm still going to go with the seals are needed for his new distortion. EDIT: welp, there we go, lol.
  12. When you see him do Daifunka, it isn't grayed out, yet he doesn't have 4 seals either. Meaning it is in fact possible that he doesn't need seals for FRKZ anymore like I mentioned. While at the same time, he might now need it for the new distortion since there's a lot of "stuff" listed along with the input for it. It is probably grayed out because he already used his Overdrive or it is charging for use. EDIT: But you can also see for Valkenhayn's clip that even at 98 seconds the icon seems like it is already ready to be activated, so I'm not entirely sure if there is in fact a waiting period for Overdrive to charge. Considering the Bursts were available immediately and you could Gold Burst at anytime, it is entirely possible characters can just do Overdrive immediately. But it might only last for 5 seconds, compared to waiting til they are 25% health and then it will last for 10 seconds (random numbers), since they mentioned it gets better if you have lower health.
  13. Oh god no, lol. Please no.
  14. You can still barrier block it. Which means if they try and you barrier block it, well they just wasted 25%. And doesn't it say only during certain moves that you can use it? ----- So the Overdrives input is the same as Burst right? So no heat is required to actually activate them correct? Which means FRKZ = 0% Heat but now is only temporary.....I'm as of now ok with this. I'm guessing he will still need the seals for it which kinda sucks compared to everyone else, unless that new Distortion is the thing that now requires 4 seals instead.
  15. Bang has apparently 3 new moves: -41236A -"Something" 22A (I'm going to assume that something means in the air)......is this a teleport like his unlimited form? Please say yes! -"Something" 236236D (new distortion) Notable things, Steel Rain and FRKZ are "removed" / not listed......but people also said the Astrals aren't listed but I'm not sure why they wouldn't list Steel Rain / FRKZ. EDIT: Apparently blue highlights mean Revised moves, so 41236A is a revised one.
  16. http://youtu.be/uTKbtOmabBU Too many to list, so that's the easiest way to tell you. When you watch it I'm sure you can notice which ones are easier to start with. Almost all of them are BnBs you would want to know, outside of a handful. For starting out you need, -Standing (2A/5A/5B/2B all go into the same combos for the most part) -Crouching (2A/5A/5B/2B all go into the same combos for the most part) -5C (it is basically the same as the crouching one anyway) -3C -Each Drive -Throw/Air Throw -Command Throw>RC (although if you're just starting out you can ignore this for now at least) You will want to know mid-screen and corner combos for each one, that video pretty much shows you and tells you what you would want to learn starting out. Just know that if you do things like 5A>2A>2A>5B the combo is going to get heavily prorated which means you'll need to cut it short cause some won't work off that string. I'm not gonna go into details as that video does a good enough job showing plenty of combos to learn starting out. Also standing combos into 6C>j.D don't work on Carl / Valkenhayn / Rachel unless you jc the j.D which means you don't have another jump to use to go into Web Nail combos. So you'll have to do different ones for them.
  17. It is already Monday in Japan, which means we could get information in a few hours (like 4+ hours), depending on how early they start it and we actually get the information from someone. So depending on where you live, we will probably get actual information "tomorrow". So if you live on the East Coast, expect the earliest we'll see information at like 11pm tonight -2am tomorrow kinda deal. Dear god no.
  18. Guile. Also May and Venom to give GG examples, which means it isn't too far-fetched to eventually get one in BB.
  19. If anyone it will probably be Amane. Bullet seems to be too close range/rushdown to be a charge character, and Azrael's moves don't look very charge character like to me. If Azrael's teleport is his actual regular movement then I definitely don't think it will be him. Kinda hard to say about Amane's but if I had to pick one he would seem the most likely after considering the other two.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSv8cxvc2uA&feature=player_embedded Nope, not at all.... I could not care less what game people are playing, I'm incredibly hyped for this game especially if they are making major changes and all the other small changes we can already see.
  21. That seems plausible. Although that brings into question the actual burst system itself. If that is a "mode" that can be activated, like a temporary power-up and opens up other distortions, does that mean Gold Burst is gone? Since if it is something you can activate in neutral that would imply no Gold Burst or it means we might have to do some other button combination to activate it (A+B+D). The other thing I would want to know is if it is an actual "power-up" mode itself and not related to the distortions at all outside of just changing how they look. Meaning that hopefully Bang's new distortion for example isn't only available in that "mode". At the same time I'm hoping it isn't an actual power-up mode cause I don't want something like X-Factor in BB. Isn't it Monday morning in Japan now? So I'm guessing we're going to start to hear some news/details in a "few" hours. I can't wait to hear about all this stuff.
  22. I think it'd be pretty damn cool if she had a more battle-damaged look to her now, kinda like Evil Ryu or even regular Ryu's Alt in SF4. I don't think she would have to look "monstrous" though. But if she's recovering or something, she'll probably just look normal with just some minor aesthetic changes. Either way I'm sure a Murakumo will be back in some form to represent that character fighting style.
  23. God I wish Bang had that move.
  24. Well whoever says that doesn't know what they are talking about. It's like people have never heard of Vega (Claw) before. I guess people just don't understand character types. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheFightingNarcissist
