  1. I was gonna LMGTFY, but decided not to. Basically you're gonna bridge the connection. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qak_iIsU7y4 or http://dailykermit.wordpress.com/2009/09/18/bridge-connection-between-pc-and-playstation-3/ If your laptop/desktop doesn't have two ethernet ports then you're basically going to be running off the laptop's wireless internet anyway so it defeats the whole purpose. Obviously you would want your laptop connection to be wired, then your ps3 would be connected into the other ethernet port. Just follow the directions on either of those and you should be able to set it up. If not....Google.
  2. I was just noticing the forum organization between Media Center and Guilty Pleasures and was about to post in here suggesting they be reorganized and now I see people were already discussing that, lol. My suggestion would just be to move Guilty Pleasures into the Media Center section and change it to say "All of your Guilty Gear a/v needs...etc" in the description of it. Possibly moving the GG threads out of the Video forum and renaming that description to not include GG since it would have it's own (Guilty Pleasures). Or if it is possible and not inconvenient maybe just merge Guilty Pleasures with the Videos forum. Then just change "Guilty Center" to "Misc Fighter Central" and only have that forum in there. I'd also switch Beginner Mode and Event Announcements then add the Dustloop Wiki into the Community section as well since it seems more fitting in there instead of being "Media" since it was put together by the DL "Community". So it would look like: -Match Finder -Event Announcements -Beginner Mode -Dustloop Wiki I think everything else is fine the way it is for the specific games and feel they are better separated like the way they are now. Just my two cents.
  3. If they would give a free tshirt at EVO that used Kurushii's old twitter icon I'm pretty sure Persona would do pretty well, lol.
  4. This is only open to US and Canada. ***READ THE RULES!!!!!*** I added extra notes that should explain any situation. https://sites.google.com/site/blazbluedanisen/rules Current Rankings: https://sites.google.com/site/blazbluedanisen/rankings Start Time: (expected to last ~2 hours) “EAST” League (EST/CST) 7pm EST / 6pm CST “WEST” League (MST/PST) TBD General Information: -Please try and be on early so I know who all is available and so I can friend request you. -Player Limit: 6-12, but really it is 11 as I will have to be in the chat room even if I'm not playing. -Rounds: 2 out of 3, in other words the default settings. Basic League Rules: -Everyone starts at Kyu. You can NOT go below Kyu, no matter how many matches you lose. Kyu is basically equal to 1st Dan 0. This is the "Beginner" rank. -Each match represents 1 point. -You must earn +3 points for a promotion. -3 points and you will be demoted, starting from 2nd Dan 0. -You may only use 1 character per night, unless told otherwise by me. -You no longer have to pass if you sweep the room, PASS ONLY WHEN YOU GET A PROMOTION. -PLEASE read all the rules on the site, it is very important people understand how it works, and it is very simple to understand if you actually read it. Sign-Up Instructions: -Sign-ups begin immediately. -Please continue to sign-up even if spots are filled because there is a good chance someone won't be able to play at the last minute. -No alt accounts. If I find out someone is using an alt you will be banned from participating until further notice. It takes away from the point of this. -If you sign-up I fully expect you to be around when the time comes even if you aren't listed as within the first 12 people. People will drop and I need others to fill those spots. If you sign-up, think of it as you plan to play BlazBlue in some form that night anyway. -Please don't drop in the middle of the league, only sign-up if you actually want to PLAY. -If you are a RETURNING PLAYER, you only have to post your PSN I.D. unless you are switching to a new character OR you've already used multiple characters in which case I need to know which one. -If you are a NEW PLAYER, you must post all your info like this: SIGN-UP FORMAT (You MUST use this format if you are a NEW player, NO exceptions, so just copy and paste) PSN I.D.: Character: State/Province*: Time Zone*: EXAMPLE: PSN I.D.: zeth07 Character: Bang State*: Maryland Time Zone*: EST Current Sign-ups: “EAST” (EST/CST) - Ayashii_ (JI) - howling-_-moon (?) - Ethereal_Albion (RG) - MirageKnight24 (HK) - sakanoue- (LA) - Koopa_Klawz (TG) - - - - - zeth07* “WEST” (MST/PST) - - - - - - - - - - - If you have any questions, you can contact me here on Dustloop or on PSN: zeth07 or on Twitter @zeth07BB Please Read Everything Carefully
  5. Switching to another game isn't going to specifically help you get better just because it is different. SF4 has it's own mechanics that you would need to learn and there are other techniques that are used that you might have to learn as well that you might not for BlazBlue. Generally speaking I would say SF4 or just SF in general would be an easier game to start with because at it's core it is a basic fundamentals game. Individual hits tend to add up much more in SF than they would in BB for example. So understanding footsies and spacing is very important (in any game). In that regard SF is probably easier to learn. If you throw a hadouken and the spacing is right and someone tries to jump over you, you would learn to anti-air them. Already that is multiple fundamentals involved. Compared to say BB, in the same scenario, suddenly the opponent can air dash or barrier block or be able to do god knows what to avoid your anti-air. Then you have things like barrier block, counter assault, burst, rapid cancel, guard primers, and even individual character mechanics that effect the game. SF's difficulty imo only comes from it's links. So going to SF MIGHT help you learn how to play fighting games a little easier, but doing this stuff ""Hadouken spamming, Shoryuken trolling" of Ryu" isn't going to get you anywhere because no matter what fighting game you play you need to understand WHY you are doing these moves or the opponent is doing them. So in that sense it doesn't really matter what game you learn because you're only gonna get as much learning out of it as you're willing to put into it.
  6. I think most of the time that was just from when I was punishing you for delay teching all the time. I don't even know how much of the air combos I can do when picking up people who delay tech cause I'm sure it is dependent on the initial combo. Otherwise there isn't much reason for any air combos I do to blue beat outside of lag, like there's no way I'd drop them, which is why they are an easy way for me to tell if the game is lagging. If the air enders don't let me jump cancel right it completely screws everything up and is very annoying.
  7. Honestly I'd say half the blue beat combos you were getting were from me TRYING to tech and apparently me not mashing enough. My 360 stick is a TE so it has Sanwas and I find it hard to believe I wasn't mashing enough to tech. But I absolutely hate having to mash ferociously to tech just because people can't do combos. Then the other half was me just being like "fuck that was stupid" either because of lag or just getting hit by silly Hakumen stuff out of nowhere. The wakeup stuff most of the time was me giving no fucks so I probably got hit by way more stuff than I normally would. And I know I gotta be careful even when I think it is safe to get out of the corner cause he has that bullshit move that'll hit you on the other side but I think for the most part I was avoiding that situation.
  8. I just do whatever I feel like for that round or whatever people let me get away with. It just depends on the connection, player, character, and what I want to try and go for. When you mentioned bursting to not let me get seals, I was gonna say that I sometimes will do seal combos with no intention of using FRKZ that round if I know people REALLY don't want me getting FRKZ. I didn't say it for that post cause I was gonna keep it to myself, but since you asked if I normally go for FRKZ, I mentioned it lol. I could have a theory fighter discussion about whether or not you should burst like that or not, but there's no right answer so it doesn't matter.
  9. It was pretty annoying which is why I was playing the way I was, because I just didn't care once I noticed it was like that. GGs.
  10. Alright, I'll get on now.
  11. I'll probably be on later, unless you can only play now. Usually the later it is the less likely my brother would be on the internet which is usually when I play BB. If you're trying to play now though just let me know and I'll get on since I'm not really busy.
  12. We can just try to play tomorrow or whenever.
  13. Now? Or just some time in general?
  14. I believe we played maybe once. If I remember right you're Shervin's brother, and I think one time you played me in a few matches on his account while we were playing. Unless he also plays Hakumen. This was a longggggg time ago though and I may be wrong.
  15. I always think of it like 3C, you throw it out there just enough to keep them on their toes. Then if you DO manage to land a FC, god help them if you're in the right position.
  16. I think that was the same Noel player me, SKD, and Starlight were playing. Shit was hilarious. I wish I recorded the matches + chat, but I haven't been doing that lately.
  17. I think I remember one time in the chat you told someone "if I burst it's because I don't need em" or something along those lines. I thought it was funny.
  18. Cute. Regardless if it is true or not, there is a spoiler tag function for the forums, although I'm sure you did it on purpose. *fixed*....just in case.
  19. I don't play Ranked until the next disc version of the game is announced. Then I only do it to finish off the trophies for completions sake. I don't really see the point otherwise, unless you literally cannot find an open random player room or friends to play.
  20. In terms of function, I'd say that's pretty broken lol. In terms of "practicality" maybe not.
  21. Elena in 3S. Not to mention Gill's Resurrection if you want to count that on the more broken side.
  22. He's referring to CS1 Bang. That is ass backwards and makes no sense.
