  1. Except 6B doesn't gatling to 3C and 3C isn't special cancellable ...
  2. Guard primer breaking blockstring posted earlier: 6B > 6B > 6C > Spark 4 primers, if the opponent is hit crouching, you can combo into collider instead of Spark. j.2C RC j.2C (can catch opponent by surprise if they have 2 primers left and are not barrier blocking) Aside from that .... Um, not really, only the last hit of MTW breaks a primer, so they won't get damaged by MTW at all, they will just get hit by whatever follow-up you decide to do. Not to mention that any smart player would barrier block to prevent the primer from breaking. Anyways, problems with guard breaking can be summed up like this: - Easy to keep away from Tager = Easy to recover primers - Barrier Blocking = 3+ more guard primer moves - Counter Assault Only times I've ever guard broken opponent is after they bursted and they were not paying attention to their primer count. Otherwise, if you're spamming several guard break moves in a row, it should become extremely obvious to the opponent what you're going for, and they'll adjust accordingly.
  3. It's true that a lot of vids put down the romaji as Satou though, and I guess that's what most of the community identifies him by, which isn't a big deal I guess. It's like how we identify かきゅん as Kaqn when it's technically romanized as Kakyun (q = kyu). Or like how I still see people put down "Karun" in youtube vids even though the original Japanese vid clearly says "Yayoi". etc.
  4. The ぅ is in subscript which indicates とぅ should be pronounced as "tu". Satou is "さとう" with the う that's not in subscript. Also, I'm pretty sure the JP announcers actually do say "satu". Arcadia SBO '09 vids for example, I def' hear Satu. Also, Kyle, quick corrections. Change Mepa to Mepo under Taokaka. Beside DIE-Chan put "DIE-ちゃん", right now you only got "ちゃん" which is just "Chan".
  5. Sorry, yea it's suppose to be Mepo, thanks for the catch. After looking through some old vids, here: '05 runner-up: Arisakashinya - ありさかしんや (RO) <-- I'm 95% sure this is the same Arisaka playing Slayer from SBO5, looks the same/Imo - いも (ZA)/Nemo - ネモ (FA) '04 runner-up: Imo - いも (ZA)/Nemo - ネモ (FA)/Kaqn - かきゅん (JA) <-- yea almost the same team as above I have no clue about '03. Edit: Ok, so nico commentors are saying Hiroshi is Tetsu, which is probably true. Thus, change Hiroshi to Tetsu (てつ). The "Hiroshi" name is an anime reference.
  6. yes. edit: arisaka = ありさか
  7. Satuu and Chonari were the guys who got 2nd in SBO '09 (you've got Omito and Mitsurugi listed as the 09 runner-ups). Their teammate Mugen got 2nd in SBO '08 and '09. Mugen in '08 was teamed up with En (SL) and Lime-Key (AN). I don't remember earlier than that. Edit: Actually, I don't know how I could forget '07 runner-ups. '07 was mike, Satoshi and Arisaka (Slayer). Fun fact, mike was dressed as Jack Sparrow and calling himself "Captain Kaleido Star" Also, besides Nezu, you might as well say "will attempt to use FRKZ every round". Probably invented a lot of the FRKZ combos in CS (j.4c loops in particular). I'm also perplexed as to what comment would be appropriate enough to describe Kusoru, but a comment should definitely be made.
  8. The rest: Tougeki - 闘劇 Mikado - ミカド WHITE - I don't actually know, but I'm assuming by the all caps name that he usually doesn't write his name in kana. Sakkaishi - 殺界師 Omitan - おみたん Kyaro - キャロ Neronero - ネロネロ Onii - 鬼い v-13 - ニュー mu12 - I'm going to assume it goes by ムー Names that I think should be added: Sol - Kusoru (クソル) a.k.a. best player ever Jam - Karun (かるん) who sometimes goes by Yayoi (やよい) CS Rachel - Kusoru (クソル) a.k.a. best player ever Haku-men - Suzume (雀) is already there, but it's worth noting that in BB vids he usually goes by the name Chin (ちん) Jin - Hiroshi (ひろし) Ragna - Reki (レキ), Tetsu (てつ), Naru (なる) Litchi - Lucky (ラッキー) Taokaka - Keita (けいた), Denpa (電波), Kazuhira (カズヒラ), Mepa (めぽ) Tsubaki - Ebi-Fry (エビフライ) Lambda - Tsukasa (つかさ), Reria (れりあ) Tager - Loveless (ラブレス), Puu (プー), Nekonin (ねこにん)
  9. "Doesn't write his name in kana" means that they usually put their names down in vids with english letters. Acho- This name isn't really written in kana. Ko-Hatsu- コーハツ Guilty Gear- ギルティギア Dio - Doesn't write his name in kana Anji Mito- 闇慈 Lime Key/Raimuki - ライムキー ANG - Doesn't write his name in kana Domi - ドミー DryAce - ドライエース Axl Low- アクセル Shuuto- シュウト Baiken-梅喧 Sharon-シャロン Maruken-マルケン Bridget- Buri-ブリジット Ruu-るぅ Chipp Zanuff-チップ Omitto - Haven't heard of Omitto. Are you sure you don't mean Samitto (サミット)? Dizzy-ディズィー H.H. - Doesn't write his name in Kana Isa-いさ Ogawa-小川 Shadow- Don't believe he writes his name in kana RF - Doesn't write name in kana ElvenShadow - doesn't write the name in kana I-no- イノ Koichi - コイチ KA2 - doesn't write the name in kana mike - doesn't write the name in kana Johnny- ジョニー BLEED - doesn't write the name in kana Kabegiwa no D.C. - 壁際のDC Machaboo - まちゃぼー Efute - えふて Tama - doesn't write the name in kana Tanbo - 田んぱ Koichi - コイチ Order-Sol - 聖ソル 0 - doesn't write the name in kana Potemkin -ポチョムキン FAB - doesn't write the name in kana En - エン Sol Badguy- ソル PC - doesn't write the name in kana Kishitaka - キシタカ 012 - doesn't write the name in kana Testament- テスタメント MINT - doesn't write the name in kana Nemo - ネモ Nanashi - ななし Eki-Chan - ekiちゃん BlazBlue-ブレイブルー ANG - doesn't write the name in kana tenchi - doesn't write the name in kana 0 - doesn't write the name in kana Shadow - doesn't write the name in kana Blacky - doesn't write the name in kana R1 - doesn't write the name in kana MSY - doesn't write the name in kana H.H. - doesn't write the name in kana Yada yada, sleeping now.
  10. Put Bomb Hei (ボム兵) under Tager. IMO him, Akira and Galileo are the three best Tagers playing right now. Edit: Galileo - ガリレオ You can also put Akira under Potemkin. He's probably better known in GG by his older name Kawin (カヰン), but he goes by Akira (アキラ) these days in GG. I suggest putting both handles down. Other Pots: Haaken - ハーケン Satoshi - サトシ Special mention for Mugen, the bridget player. Kanji for Mugen is 夢幻, but nowadays he uses the handle "Mocchii" (もっちー).
  11. It says Kazu and Roz.
  12. It's Ranrebo.
  13. hahaha, damn, i guess i'm nadal and you're federer and you just sent me some backhands. damn good with those backhands shynkz.
  14. lol @ the hostility, gotta say, not really in the mood for that . i like how you made an erroneous statement, and i also like how i made a correction. do you think i care about all the specific conditions that you listed? anyways, i only popped in here cause this thread was getting a bit of activity. i'm not in the mood to continue this conversation, since this is about ct, which i don't really care about or play. i see that you believe that the ct tager match-up isn't in your favor and while i don't really agree, you're welcome to continue thinking that, and we can just agree to disagree.
  15. if tager's crouching, 5a and 5b can eventually gatling into 3c for decent damage. even if he's standing, i'm pretty sure ch 5b combos into 3c. also i'm pretty sure 6a > 6c loop + drive ender does decent damage (you can tack on 5a in front of the 6a I guess, it'll do less damage, but whether it's higher than 1.5k I don't know).
  16. They removed that video for some reason, and reuploaded it. Here's the reuploaded URL (edit: updated the previous post as well): http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10980770 Again vs Dora (TG) & Masuyama (BA) Kind of hope that vids of Galileo/Tenchi vs Shounen/Eesuke from the acho SBO qualifiers are uploaded at some point.
  17. SBO qualifier vids with Akira's team (Katachin), teaming up with Chin/Suzume's Haku-Men, have been popping up lately. Along with Galileo and Tenchi, that makes two beastly Haku/Tager teams. vs Kouya (NO) & Firumu (HK) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkOmN9hU95I vs Buppa (HZ) & Dio (CA) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l80LZRDpSqs vs Dora (TG) & Masuyama (BA) ... Yea http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10980770 vs Kagetsu (HZ) & Fio (LI) - Check out the Fio match for an interesting 2C set-up http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10981102
  18. what do you mean before landing. do you mean winding away after the j.2c or winding away before the lobelia. for the record, if you try j.2c > lobelia, you're going to get 720'd before lobelia even comes out.
  19. Thanks for the quick answer Rin.
  20. Quick question, did the promo version of console CS have any balance changes? If so, the thing that needs to be asked tomorrow is whether the arcade release will be getting a patch to update it to match console balance.
  21. Zeero's probably the best player in Toronto for over half the cast of BB lol.
  22. That has nothing to do with autoguard. Tager's 4D just straight up comes out faster than Haku's 4C, and at the right distance, it'll score a CH since Haku extends his hitbox a bit before the move becomes active.
  23. lol @ Goro being a shitty Lambda. If a Lambda doesn't rush the opponent down with fancy TK Crescent Feint mix-ups, he's obviously not good. lol Arcade, I usually don't have a problem with you, but sometimes I find your arrogance highly amusing.
  24. It was Goro and Fumo who beat Masutani and Ren. You can check the links in the first post to see who beat who if you can read Japanese. As for Hiroshi, you can check the video link in my first post to see the final matches of the B-8 qualifier that Satoshi/Hiroshi won. For the record, yes, he is an extremely good Jin player.
