Does Air Throw - 2B - 2C - 623C - JC (whiff) - J2C - 22D really work on all characters? I remember that I had to do 2B > Collider on Bang cause the 2C would whiff. Or can I just move forward after the air throw to make the 2C connect?

You can also add a 6A after the 5C for the OTG j.B combos. The 6A probably whiffs on a few characters though.

well it gatlings, but the point is that 6b > 6b actually combos when the opponent crouches. and yes 6b > 6c combos when the opponent is crouching. i'm surprised you weren't aware of this orion, it's one of your damaging overhead options. anyways, i pm'd my thoughts to axis about what needs to worked on. i'm out.

they team up every team tourney, so bring your a-game. i just realized, the other big "teams" are not around this tourney. nazir + wu who get either second or first place. buuut nazir's not around to carry wu anymore lol. MTW = Magnatech Wheel, the spinny super. Carl's 5C can get stuffed by Tager's 5C at max range. 5A and 5B CAN stuff it if you space yourself correctly.

i fight Zeero's Carl occasionally, so my thoughts are ... if Tager has momentum (hard to get, Carl has to get magnetized, and you need to REALLY catch him out of position), Carl actually has a bit of trouble getting out of pressure since he doesn't have the greatest of reversal options. IMO the major reason why this match-up is 6-4 and not worse is because of Carl's low health; it's entirely possible for Tager to random Carl out in a round once he gets momentum going. You can also actually play footsies with Carl, since 5C doesn't beat everything anymore. i do want to say Carl's j.B is gay.

Was wondering if he teamed up with some other Canadian players that went (who don't really play BB too much), but I guess not. Thanks for the update TaoFTW. Toronto wishes kousaka the best of luck for the rest of Evo.

Actually, a held 360B that's activated as soon as Gadget is done seems to catch Bang out of his backdash. I've done this a few times in matches, and have yet to test it fully. However, the jist of it is that Bang's grounded for the first few frames of his backdash (I don't know the exact numbers), and a held 360B after Gadget Finger is fast enough to catch him (the magnetism will keep him from moving). Edit: Also 360B, unlike 360A, autograbs (like 720), so if Bang hits 5A, I should get a throw counter. It covers both options. Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXUwbb_UrVk#t=1m50s

lambda can use gravity on reaction to this to dodge it. better for tager to combo it off something and it's not that bad a match-up (litchi or bang are definitely worse for tager), unlike CT, lambda doesn't have backdash + 2c as a get-out-of-jail card when tager actually gets in. she does have reversals, but they can be baited and punished (heck her dp is slow enough that after gadget tager can do a 5a and still block the dp). just block a lot, play it safe, get in and roll the dice.

yea you're right, ranrebo uses default (why do so many carls like default anyways). ah i found the other vid of kouji's aggressive cs tager: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9839322 vs kogatan (ji) and shounen (li), note how old the vid is though, which is why shounen's doing old combos. skip the first match if you want to see tager.

that's Kouji, the only Tager who qualified in SBO last year in BBCT. there are a few other vids of him floating around i believe. there are a lot of good tager players in the kansai area for some reason. the 2nd tager player i'm not sure though (i believe the red carl player is ran revo though). note that gadget rc trick he did at the end of the first round. if you rc at the right place, the opponent is in an untechable state i think until he lands on the ground, in which case you can reset the combo as soon as he lands. i've been seeing this a lot lately. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11211486 <-- first match of this vid (Akitsuki vs Dio) shows a similar trick, but Akitsuki does Gadget RC walk forward 6b. i want to add akitsuki is hilarious to watch.
