  2. Sorry to say, but watching a Heaven or Hell combo video is a great example at what NOT to do in a combo video. Seriously, 3 mins into it and its yet to show me a full combo. All I see is a retarded intro and the same preset used over and over and over. I guess having the viewers skip thru half the vid to find complete combos was the objective of these videos. If so, mission accomplish.

  6. Hold up, sorry to point this out but why the hell would you even mention anything like that if you were gonna be an "ass" about it not go into detail about something we know little of? It's not like we even have a general idea of what your going on about. Stupid post, goddamn... I finally come by the Ky topic just to see whats going on, only to run into this. WTF? I'm gone!

And whats with that combo video in the progress? >_> Before you actually start working on that combo vid, remove the first like 10 seconds. WTF, showing the GG:AC intro as the combo vid intro... STOP THAT ALREADY, PEOPLE!!! lmao, dude if you just went straight to the point your post wouldn't be so long.
  8. Ummmmmm... I don't know if you know this but when you hit forward, you move closer to the opponent. Some may go as far as to say its a hidden move in the game, seeing as how it isn't listed in the booklet. Now if you wanna go advance, there is something called "zoning". But, that should be discussed another time.
  9. lol, maybe I should just call it the "too basic" combo thread, haha. In general, the combos posted where beyond basic, but showed what could be done certain hits (like that ASE can be air linked and such). Not to mention, it was a general discussion on combos themselves...

  11. WTF?! Alright, so obviously me making a basic combo thread was too much. Yeah, no wonder I don't post any info here. Not to mention the QCF+D/Air QCF+D was a nice topic on its own, seeing as how its making discussion was related to how depth you can go into oki pressure. With that said, are you really going to make a strats/combo topic in one once again? It's gonna be a mess and thats exactly what was trying to be avoided... But what, you guys do what you want =/
  12. lol yeah, we all perty much knew that much. Except, it seem like the way I was told was that he didn't need wall smash (from the posts before). But it seems obvious that he does. Piccolo does not have many mix-up options, but he has great attack range and does a lot of damage for the type of character that he is.
  13. I found out that nothing was wrong with the American version. WTF? :8/: Assuming he's talking about Piccolo (which blackstar14 seems right about the wall smash thing). Still asking wiether or not it is the exact same gameplay-wise. Funny thing was, I actually stopped playing Super DBZ because of this, lol.
  14. Handicap 4 is a little much. 3 is default, I don't know what gave you the idea that it was any bigger. Plus, two to three combos and your dead sounds about right. And you don't know what the ntsc version is? Well, look at your game cover and find the "ntsc" symbol on it (assuming you bought it in amercia or whatever).
  15. Perty much I was told this: Piccolo's j.H seems to 'cause the opponent to just slide and not actually give a juggle afterwords. I'm not too sure wiether or not you need some special ability to give j.H a ground bounce, but when I asked for a list of changes in the american version, the reply I got is what you see in the quote.
  16. I actually didn't know that the American version is different from the Jap version. Supposly certain combos don't work in the American version and you got stupid tone downs (like Piccolo not being able to combo from jump Heavy). Don't know much in-depth info, but I'm trying to find myself a jap copy of the game to see whats up.
  17. Hmmmm, I have no idea, really. Never thought of using Greed Saber to take out Pot's j.D, so I don't know the effects. Thing is, what if the Pot player is doing the samething? In some cases, the Pot player would not be new to the fact that j.D will class with almost anything (hell, even Sol's VV most of the time), so he could actually have a plan B up in case of a clash. A bit risky if you ask me ;(
  18. Well here it is, an GG:AC Ky match up thread. Feel free to post up match up options, however I want opinions from people who actually have experience playing actual people. I don't want people who watch a bunch of jap vids giving out crappy advice, I want people with real experiences to post. With that said... Vs Testament This match up is really scary for Ky, as Ky really can't stick out anything at the start of a round in fear it could lead into a retard bad lands loop into knockdown. Testy's HS EX Beast and 6K just beats out most of Ky's pokes. Of course, during mid-game, zone with whatever you got; ASE and use j.HS to take out some of Testy's webs. Try to FRC your heavy stun edges in attempts to rush down Testament, just be careful with HS Beast. Watch Testament's game closely, if you see Testament is too busy setting up traps then try to air dash in with j.S > j.HS and combo. Testament can anti-air and testament can set traps, but just remember this: he can only do one thing at a time. Vs Jam Don't be too afraid of moves like her force break Puff Ball move, you can actually 6P her out of it. Using 6P in general as an anti-air is a good idea to use against her seeing as how it defeat a lot of her air moves as well. Stay on the ground as much as possible, don't bother too much try to zone her with ASE. Trying to out beat her normals is a pain tho because of Jam's 2S, but remember that nothing can really beat Ky's 2S at max range. Vs Eddie Zoning with your Air fireballs and j.D is actually one of the best things you can do against Eddie. If Eddie blocks an ASE (Slash version) FRC, you can get in for some free pressure. Eddie's normals suck, so don't worry about getting out poked. However, the drills are a pain in the ass. Vs Sol Sol does random VV's, Ky does random force break Orbs. BAIT THAT SHIT! lol Vs Pot This match up is a pain in the ass for Ky; Pot almost shuts down Ky completely. The only thing you can do is slowly pace yourself closer to him and attempted to pressure him. From a distance, try throwing out j.D every now and then in attempts to bait out Pot's slide head, right before you land. When pot is in the air and tries to comes down with j.D, almost any attempts to do anti-air (6P, 2HS, sometimes VT) will either be beaten out, or it will clash. In situations like these try to avoid Pot's j.D and punish the recovery. Or, you can jump in the air with him and interrupted his j.D as he is falling with j.K and into a air combo. Don't try to random VT if your scared of Pot's command throw, instead try back dashing. More/Better character match-up info coming soon. Until then discuss!
  19. It never was popular to begin with. I'm actually thinking of hitting up on this game again soon just because I like it. However, the lack of comp for the game really dis-motivates me.
  20. Oh... never saw that a cancel. I just thought 5K had less recovery, or something ;p Actually, if you have 25% tension and you land a slash at close range (assuming thats where going to be, seeing as how your attempting a throw and all), you can actually do about 170+ damage into knockdown with the big Orb force break.
  21. Not talking about combos, just experience in general is good. It helps you unitized what kind of combos you should use in certain situations. Were as trying to learn them off videos (even thru these message boards), you may force yourself to learn combos that are very situational or only work on certain characters that may 'cause you a big downfall in matches.
  22. Videos dont help as well as people think they do. Go out and play with some friends, even tho those friends might suck real bad. The more experience, the better (of course).
  23. I don't see what that has to do with anything seeing as how we are not trying to be like the other character subforums. Everytime I see a stupid question on this topic, I want to point the poster to the right direction. However, there is no real discussion on this topic related to what the people are normally asking. For example, people asked for AC combos yet there has been nothing on GGAC combos on this thread, so I made the topic. Separate the Slash info from the AC info. Have a list of Slash to AC changes in a different topic, while re-edit JetEnduro Ky info combo to something more Slash related. Let that be for the Slash info. I don't know why a Video Topic is sticked in the first place, but whatever. It's nice to have around to keep bump, but I don't see the point in having it sticky. The current Ky Slash Matchup Thread is garbage. I'd like to see people post up on there match-up experience, rather than a bunch of fanboys post up match-ups from watching nothing but videos all day. If you don't have any real experience, then don't post any match-up tips at all.
