Yea Tim, there are enough people willing to come friday to have one more gathering before the end of semester. Also to all you android guys here(John, Chris looking for your input) I'm eligible for a phone upgrade from AT&T. Fry's can give me an HTC Aria for $30 or a Captivate(Galaxy S) for $150, now thats four months worth of data plan difference. I know the Galaxy S destroys the the Aria in all aspects, but I much prefer HTC's phones over Samsung. Also plan on rooting either as AT&T sucks ass and wont let you sideload apps on both phones. If the Aria wasnt so cheap I'd jump all over the Galaxy, but I will be poor for the holidays and would like to save the cash for other things i don't necessarily need (like a new Zune HD). Go for the better phone or settle with the super cheap one?

Rofl, Ben you're the last person I'd expect to play VP. I have it on my netbook, we discussed this game a while back at SEB tho I'm not sure if anyone actually played it. edit: though I'm not willing to post my number I'll give it out to whoever pm's me. I'm very impressed with GT5's new interface and menu's. They're so stylish all websites should look like this from now on. They've also implemented a linear progression system that limits what you can do in the game so you can't cheat using OP cars anymore. Its basically a big racing RPG, but moreso this time around. You have to gain exp. to level so its requiring more time investment than before so thats why I'm playing it so much. Also in game you can hire drivers to grind out races without you racing and you can earn the rewards they win, but now they've separated driver xp from your own so now you have to dedicate more time for individual drivers to level up. So sometimes I'll be online playing GT5, but i wont actually be at the PS3. They havent added online remote drivers yet so I'm waiting for that. When that happens i can still play GT5 while I'm away from the PS3 say at school or Tech or Tim's.

Yeah looks like NEC aint happening anymore, the whole point was to bring GA's best up north and not even SF4 crew is doing that either so this might be a bust. Also sharing car/room bill with so few people is not too great. I had my budget planned for splitting with at least 5 ppl, but now i probably wont be able to afford the difference now. Is a shame, at least i dont have to play BB for till the patch comes out and can play more GT5 instead.

You can tell how much of a joke this game is when we start allowing beginner mode in tournaments to get more people. Blazblue could honestly be the next competitive brawl, and annoying little kids and super scrubs will start showing up to tournaments thinking they're hot shit. Then the rest the FG community starts giving you shit about your players and community. Oh wait thats already happened...

Key word is bi-weekly, this might go over better with the SSF4 community. If we could combine both communities for cheap bi-weekly streamed tournaments this might be a more popular idea. Ugghh no, Blazblue is really the only game where people are gonna try to justify safety nets. What everyone is trying to say is that there is little to no reward for getting a knockdown which is so valuable in every other fighter ever in existence. The game is less rewarding for skilled or harder working players to cater to people who make more mistakes. Thats downright retarded and makes BB a joke of a competitive fighter.

- Air-unblockable normals - Less reward for throws and overheads(for some characters) - shorter combos - less damage this isn't guilty gear, sounds more like holddownback fighter 4

Aight Chris took your advice, the names are placed right under the health bars and are a good bit smaller. Works for both SF4 and BB, I'll see if it works for tekken as well. I might mess around with it some more.
