At one point my mom joked that she actually could get a blood transfusion machine set up for us, seeing as how she works as a nurse. Though what Akagi taught me is that those energy shot drinks can totally act as a blood substitute. Though if you are somehow drinking enough of them to replace the blood volume, you'd probably have several dozen grams of pure caffeine in your system. Frankly I think that the best thing to come out of Washizu mahjong is the idea of just putting all the tiles into a bag. Actually, Sirlin did that too for one of his games so as to avoid the need to keep shuffling and stacking ish. Making the mahjong wall is fun and all, but the bag is literally the fastest thing there is.

Mike wants to know if a cat is fine, too. I'd advise against it because it's going to wreck your ish. Cats jump all over the place and will happily bat and shred things if you don't keep it all locked away. Plus you have to house train it, which is a pain. Odds of the upholstery surviving the cat is also kinda eh. And if you are going to go on trips, you will need to either have it used to getting food from a timed dispenser (which costs money but whatever) or you'll have to have somebody look after it for a bit.

Also, I hear some pretty awful reports about glitches in 3SO, ranging from the audio in the game flatout not working properly, to really bad desynching online. In my experience with GGPO, one of the funniest things that can happen is that the game plays and sounds the "KO!!!!" but nobody actually dies. Evidently this can still happen in 3SO. capcommmmmmmm
