Job complications keeping me away... again...
-
If you cut through the salt and cynicism my point still stands. Don't shut up for fear of halting conversation. Discussion is super important to making everybody play better. Maybe, send me an invite if I get on I guess. Though I'm on a bit of a mission to get my PP back up above 2000 in SF4. It got real low in my quest to find a non Yang character (Yang is a broke PoS and when I realized it I couldn't bring myself to play him anymore), and my second Bastion playthrough.
-
I can play if you want, but I'm probably rusty, been spending much time on SF4 and MvC. That said, I need to get back into shape.

You've a mighty opinion of yourself AXIS... These are the Tager boards, you are among the most hardened BB players in existence, you wish you could put you foot down with that much force. Can't help the newbies that see the Star and don't want to say anything. Also, I'm not grumpy, I'm just perpetually irked.

:)

Don't worry about Dacid. He's like the Tager boards captive Panda. Famous, but stupid looking and doesn't have sex.
-
Discussion still has merit. Tager has a very hard time staying on top of people, so I don't wait around alot, get in and get to it.

Also, often times 3 failures can set up one success, and then you've successfully mind-fucked someone.

Personally, I'm most interested in secret Tech and you Oki thoughts. However I think the Oki would be best for a video. Oki tends to be hard to explain fully in text form, and more players would be able to make use of it. I don't know what your secret tech is (...or do I?), but I have a feeling it might lend itself better to a text explanation. Especially, if it's as advanced as you say. Besides, my Dr. Doom has always been lacking, so I stick to Iron Man. As for the first video, I don't think anything we do will get more people to play Mu.

Rush:Hazama Space: Everyone else KeepAway: Rachel, Arakune, Tager, Carl This breakdown is kinda wierd, because Mu uses her spacing and keepaway game to setup her rushdown, so it's not really a character by character thing. Some characters make it hard to do that though. Short answer, she's still a poor man's Ragna. But she's not helpless this time around.

Since we were talking about it... I posted this before, but this is my take on the game right now (order within tiers does not matter), most of us seem to be thinking about the same thing more or less: S:Makoto, Hazama, Tao A: Jin, Carl, Valk, Mu, Litchi, Rachel A-:Noel B: Lambda, Ragna, Arakune C: Hakumen, Tsubaki, Platinum, Bang T: Tager

This statement is funny.

You forgot Tao, Tao is still really good...

I have never been able to get it to be green off 5A, I think I got it to work once off 2A but I don't remember. Main application for this is to do a pseudo standing 720 by wiffing the A. Like wiff 5A on their wakeup and go into 720. Still, it's not like ticks off of 5B/2B had anything wrong with them.
-
It's easier to buffer off 2A than 5A, still pretty hard though. To be honest, when I do it I just go fast... really fast...
-
Personally, I think it's easier to just buffer the 720 into the 5A/2A then deal with the volt cancel nonsense. Not that either way is particularly easy.

Haba-can is a little more complicated than that. On top of being very timing specific (a 2F link with a dash I believe), you need to pop the opponent off the wall at a specific height, it won't work off any old 6C hit. I'm not a valk player, but keep in mind that Mu can jump and special cancel the steins, so a jC, DP, 236A, SOD, etc are all possibilities, so it's not just the lasers. It's kinda like the lasers help her control your position, more so than shoot you. The command laser's threat level varies depending on the setup and stien config. Explosions are utilized in Oki more often in CS2.
-
Tell him to watch his spacing. Mag depending, a well spaced 5B or 5C stuffs 720C clean. 720 Has just enough invul to be a reversal, and no more.

All 5 frames?

Well, they're kinda the same thing, but if you wanna get technical, stuff is a comparative term, and punish is an application. For example, Tager's 5A can stuff Ragna's 5B (comparison of two moves). Where-as, a punish is when you can react to Ragna's 5B and stuff it with 6A. You can also Yomi I guess. It's really just technicalities and semantics, but I feel some players don't try to stuff shit enough. You can't count on good players to give openings, but if you stuff that 5B a few times, it gets you respect, space, and makes the jerk think.
-
Correct, you use the animation from 214D (explosion) to shorten the recovery of 6C. There's actually alot of specifics involved in using it to combo, so it's common to encounter Mu players who do not utilize it. It will look like: ~>6C>214D(wiff)>Dash6A>~
-
I was just stating it in general for other readers. Alot of players get stuck in the Block>punish mindset, probably from ranked netplay.
-
That's a punish. A punish doesn't necessarily mean block>punish. Just stating that in case it help's some people's thought processes. It's why I like 360A as a footsies tool (still risky though). Whatever works. The Tager matchup is one of those that someone either knows or they don't
-
 On a side note, you still toughing it out with Tager?
-
I suppose it can help you with timing, but it's also a hitconfirm.
