  1. Usually I do alot of 2AxN>2B and [5B>2B]xN. Most of my variation comes from jump cancels off the 5B (IAD back, jC, IAD j2C[crossup]), using 2B for frame traps and tick throws, and 6B; or if I'm lazy just end with a C attack>63214C(lvl1-3).
  2. No trick, I just tried it alot... alot of alot. As for the Tager combo 2D, Bsledge 4D, or BGadget are better enders overall. On some characters you can even do jC(wiff)>jB(OTG). I think I'm having a learning new characters room open tomorrow. I can invite you if you want.

  3. We can sit here and discuss all the gadget options, but the fact remains that Gadget is a guessing game and it is possible for Tager to guess right. The fact that mu has a good backdash and a DP in addition to other options makes her do above average in Gadget. Alot of the moves Tager has that beat her options (5D, 6C, 720, spark) are not moves that Tager is going to want to risk off Gadget unless he really has you figured out.
  4. I've done all of Ragna's and 80% of Mu. There's really no trick to the Tager combo, it's just hard, it's also outdated to I wouldn't fret about it outside of achievements. Mu is a very different character. Most people say that she feel awkward. She is almost all about oki, which is a very different style than Ragna. If you decide you want to attempt to pick her up, I can show you what I know. Be warned, I'm new to her too.

  5. I think its safe to assume that the "famous japanese players" are better than us and more knowledgable. It would be more productive if we talked about why they are ranked that way, rather than disagreeing with them.
  6. Nothing beats all Gadget options (Save ragna RC DP). I wouldn't gadget a character who's escape routes cover so many of Tager's options. If you succeed you get to re-zone Tager. i'm more afraid of 2D and 4D enders as they put you in a much less black and white situation.
  7. Some of it (80%). Alot of it is outdated. Why? Also thanks for that Mu link. I don't know if you play her at all, but it blew my mind.

  8. Gadget is still not a huge issue as Mu has a very good backdash. The DP just gives her another option. The Mag does shut down alot of her air game even if she escapes.
  9. Be careful with that stuff. If he blocks it's awesome, but he can sledge 214D and 236D on reaction.
  10. I was being a bit sarcastic, but it feels like thats the only reason he could be up so high. His other stuff is good, but not A+ tier.
  11. A thousand times this. Oki is what Mu does. Without it, you're playing a very crappy midranger.
  12. I wish I could make a trip. Sadly, I have to work this saturday and there isn't really a good way for me to get out of it. I'm going to try to schedule myself so I have time to come up in the near future. I really should get my lazy ass to some real life stuff. What going on this saturday that you need me for? Is there just a lack of decent players?

  13. Well, I meant my opinion was probably less valuable. A famous Japanese player I am not. I would still like to here why they rate Hazama so high (is IB>Jayoku that good?) and Lambda so low. I vaguely remember hearing stuff about how Lambda was getting better and better.
  14. The list does seem just a bit off, but it looks alot better than before. IMO Ragna and lambda are ranked a bit weak, and hazama a bit strong, but that's what opinions are. Also, I think it's less Tager and Tsubaki are in Rachel tier, it's more Rachel is now in Tager/Tsubaki tier. She moved up.
  15. Check the matchup thread. Jin is very vulnerable to Mu's oki especially her cross under and guard break setups. You typically want to keep him at 5C and jC range. Your range is better than his.
  16. Remember Mu has a DP, Gadget isn't the best against her if she has meter. Besides, unlike lambda Mu can throw her rocks and run why they keep Tager suppressed, whereas lambda must commit to the projectile. This is an awful matchup for Tager, Mu is only in danger if she's mag'd or she gets greedy (my problem).
  17. 5B loses to anything that comes out faster or is already active. It's true that some characters don't have good AA's but they have other options. Arakune, lambda, and Hazama can just run away, and they can harass Ragna from a distance with projectiles stoping his approach. Tao moves so fast that Dash in jC isn't a great tactic against her, and Tagers 2C will usually trade very much in Tager's favor. The fact that Ragna has no good approach and only an average mixup is alot of the reason that he was never ranked equal to Bang and Litchi.
  18. You can AA the jC, it's not even hard. If you worried about the jC's range than move forward a bit before you throw your AA. His 5B is very, very good, but that really only useful after he gets in and it loses to every other faster poke in the game. Ragna is a mid-range character so he doesn't need to get as close as say, makoto, but unlike makoto he has almost no tools to get him into that range save dashing. Yes, Ragna's meter gain is OP as all get out, I won't argue that one.
  19. Carl has much better footsies using is Doll to get in and trap people. Ranga on the other hand, has more trouble approaching and mixing-up, but his reward for succeeding is ludicrously high. Carl is probably the better overall character, but both seem about even to me. This matchup chart is old. Tager V Arakune is definitely in Arakune's favor. It's no where near as bad as CT but Tager still can't reliably catch him. I'd put it at 6-4 maybe a bit worse.
  20. ALso, Gadget finger is pretty good against Hazama if he doesn't have meter for the super kick.

  21. I don't blame you, Hazama is quickly becoming the most annoying character in the game to fight against. Also, this is a very bad matchup for Tager (3.5-6.5), so no matter how much you know, it's gonna be an uphill battle. My usual advice against Hazama is to wait for the chain, and move in, but not so far that you get hit with another chain. It's very similar to the way you approach Guile in SF. The problem is, Hazama can spiderman around and start all over, and Tager's slow. For me, getting in is al about magnetism. I will take any trade or blocked hit if I can get him mag'd. Then you can use jD to make him really nervous about the chains. ALso, learn how to mix up with Tager. Use 2C, and AC so convince him he doesn't want to jump, 4D and 2B to convince him he doesn't want to poke, and 360 to convince him he doesn't want to block or stay on the ground. Once you scared him, disfigure his face. Was there anything specific giving you trouble. I might be able to help more.

  22. Well, I've been playing Haku alot lately and outside of the usual issue of dealing with his frame traps and C pokes, I've countered one very annoying situation. The haku Cut one of my projectiles and then preceded to just sit inside the Barrier. You cant safely poke him through the barrier as 6C is a projectile. How do you get him out of there? I've tried waiting it out, but then he's usually alot closer than I want him. Th other thing I've played with is just stacking stiens on him to detonate when the barrier goes down.
  23. In all fairness Arcade, Mu doen't really fit your style. She is an oki and projectile supported rushdown character. She is very complex (like Dahlia said). You'd be more at home with Hazama or Bang for my money. Dahlia is right, if you don't like the character, you probably never will, and I don't recommend playing a character you don't like.
  24. Welcome to the high tier. That's why high tier characters are high tier, their stuff is so strong that other characters must find a way to deal with it, not the other way around. Ragna is still much more fun than Bang or Litchi though.
  25. Can we please at least wait until the japanese post their revised tier lists before we all start posting our own individual hair brained lists? ALso, posting things like "scrub lists" and "netplay lists" holds absolutely no value. @Xiaounlimited: Tiers do matter. While a good player will usually beat a bad player, ignoring the tier list and matchups is just stupid.
