  1. Does anybody have any setups for after 632146C? It does great Damage but it seems like landing it means the end of the vortex-ish-thingy.
  2. I thought I would leave more Tager tricks for you to work on. 1)Sledging: Only use Bsledge if you're actually in range, otherwise I recommend Asledge. It's much faster and hard to punish. 2)Tagers 6A rocks, it's slow, but there are so many options afterwards it's insane. 3)2D>RC>6A, costs meter but is an almost guaranteed way to connect with 6A into the mixup. 4)If you're going for a tic after any poke with frame advantage, use 360B, it's better than 360A in every way in this situation.

  3. Hmm... I played with that idea briefly. I was couldn't find a way to keep the person in the middle of the laser oki without having the charged stien relay the laser, and then disappear. I don't think any throw setup outside of laser oki would be viable anyways.
  4. Still, I got my hopes up... *Sigh*
  5. Well shoot. I guess they didn't want a repeat of CT Carl. Oh Well.
  6. I was playing around with Mu's astral finish today, and I came up with a few new combos: CH 5C>222D CH j2C>222D 5D>6D>236D>6D>5D/2D>222D (this one is pretty useless as you could just start a BnB to astral here anyways)
  7. Here's a set up I've been playing with. After doing 3C>2B>5C>6C>5D If you go for the cross under and succeed. The stien you just placed will be in the perfect spot to do an explosion combo such as 5B>3C>2B>5C>6C>214D>5C>6C>5D (to reset the situation). In addition, you can use the stien explosion to cross-under them again and try for a different type of reset/mixup. Also, I had the idea of using the throw escape to create some kind of unblockable setup with the laser. I couldn't ever get anything to work, but I thought I would mention it. Maybe somebody else can manage something, or tell me if the idea is retarded.
  8. Dammit, I still haven't gotten used to the fact the Lambda has the rushing move... You're getting better at the TK loop though, GG's.

  9. I remember reading something about the 720 being made "mashable" or something to that effect. Which would explain all the scrub Tagers spinning their sticks and mashing C, like this was SF or something.
  10. 6C will totally screw her lobelias/pumpkin summon/frog call if she's in range on reaction. This is true of almost all ground based projectiles save Lambda and Hazama's (unless your physic).
  11. I've beat it with Tager, Mu, Hazama, and Ragna. The only one I could beat it with without the P2 trick was Tager. The computer can't figure out Gadget Finger.

  12. Well, there are really two times to set up stiens in my mind. 1) Long range. The opponent is full screen and you want to make him come to you rather than the other way around. 2)After a knockdown. Oki is what Mu does. I recommend learning all the oki tricks and strings; from stien setups, to crossups, to crossunders. You want to keep the opponent knocked down as long as possible. Also, be sure to place you steins thoughtfully. Unlike a fireball they serve a purpose even after they shoot, so try to position them to facilitate that.
  13. I'd try to avoid using on normal jumps though. The last thing you want to see is a Kara cancel and that barrier going up. Also, it has no invulnerability. Good thing about Tager though, is that you don't really need to play oki games with him. Just keep him at a distance and the match is yours.
  14. ^^ Elipses aren't the same as periods dammit. @DC: How much of that do you think is just New game syndrome. At first I was all flustered, but as I got used to the new game that has all but disappeared.
  15. Hmm... I Chicago trip would be fun. I don't know if I can make this friday, but if your doing weekly tournaments I could try to swing a trip. I'm actually decent at SF now, provided you have super.

  16. Friday as in Two days from now?

  17. Yeah, I haven't really beat it legit... but, if your like me and just want unlimited characters there is a trick. Plug in a second player controller, and if you are ever about to lose hit start. You will then get to play a versus match with a non-existant P2 and when you win, you will get try the stage over. Be sure to hit start on P2 before you actually die, or it won't work. Score attack is still frustrating, but it beats getting jewed out of wins by Haku and Hazama.

  18. ^^ To add to that, Up close TKGH will wiff on alot of the cast. Ragna pressure has always been more about intimidation than anything else. Once you get used to it, it isn't as scary... unless the Ragna is good.
  19. If you time the 360B properly it will beat pokes. There's no reason to use the 360A as a tic after anything with frame advantage, unless you need the range. Edit: another reason to use 360A is if your expecting a backdash and you need the additional suction of 360A to catch them Not recommended because at that point it's pretty easy to jump out of on reaction.
  20. Transcribed from the end of the video. 21. Doesn't he get Bang/Litchi raped? That's kinda why Ragna is in a tier above Haku. It's not that he has better overall match-ups, but he has better ones against the God tiers. And we all know that most tourney characters are going to be Bang and litchi, followed by Rags. Also CS Ragna would have been the best character in CT I think. S tier at the very least, and probably rape CT Haku. I just counted. You have fought 6 more CT jins than me. Congrats.

  22. I've done that too. I was scared of how easily I did jin stuff just from watching Omni. But now Ragna is the new jin, and that irks me alot. Also, you may have fought slightly more CT jins that I.

  23. In other words. It's up to me to win, not my character. I mean, look at what happened to all those Nu/Arakune/Jin/Noel players. They don't know what to do with their new characters now that the BS moves are gone.

  24. Also, If you want to learn a new character now is the time. Everybody is doing it and we are all scrubbing up the internet. Besides, I enjoy using mid-low tier characters more than high tier. The high tier characters are so good that you just kind of do Bang/Ragna/Haku/etc stuff and see if the opponent can deal with it. Lesser characters have real flaws, and for me, that makes them much more exciting to play. This is part of why I'm loving MU. She's technically hard, and has big weaknesses, but also has some really unique strengths. Even losing, it's much more exciting.

  25. There are ways to screw with Ragna's 6A. It's a great anit-air to be sure, but it has some downsides. 1)It's really slow. I've been safe jumped, or just outright surprised plenty of times. Plus because of it's huge recovery you can bait it with a double jump (this was the big reason Haku's CT 6A was so good, no recovery). Plus you have jD, used properly is will make me think twice about AAing you. 2) 6A hits far in front of Ragna, but not any where else. If you can get behind me or right on top of my head, 6A doesn't help much. 3) You should be able to land your jC from far enough away that I can't 6A you. If your getting AA'd alot, I'd play it like SF. March me into the corner, then apply rape.
