  1. I get 5D CH's now and then, I usually just throw out one 5d trying to fish for it against certain characters who have long range options. I'm still not confident using 6A as an AA. I feel like it still gets beat out by a lot of things (Maybe I play against too many Litchi players) that I'd rather just block the attack. If I try to 6A and it fails, I eat a air to ground CH combo which usually really hurts and ends up with me in the corner.
  2. I def. started using DP a lot more, it helps a lot, now I just need to be able to get more damage out of it. Once the Tagers start going defensive it is a LOT easier to deal with them.
  3. Got the full loop, I do tk7 with the usual method, 6a>2147d, and i do tk9 with 6a>9>214d I start with TK7 and adjust accordingly. I never dash 6a, i just seem to drop the combo. The dash gets me out of rhythm. I do have to dash starting from a 236B RC or such though.
  4. My main tool in this fight is to bait sledge, with CH 5D into 236C, 214d~c, 2dd, 6dd zoning IB out of pressure strings And eat gadget finger resets.
  5. Oh gawd so HYPE. Excellent work, what a close finish.
  6. I just landed my first "real" loop today, got great damage off but dropped the ender. There are a lot of times I'll land a 236b, grab, or gravity in or near the corner and drop the combo, so I'd say it's not that bad. Depends on the character you're fighting.
  7. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11575474 Good Lamb play.
  8. Great job, when I started this I could barely pull off 1-3 reps, after hours over a few days in training mode grinding it out I'm getting better. Sometimes I choose to 5b > 6a for spacing though, prorates the combo but still helps me keep it going. Sometimes you don't get a 'perfect' tk, gotta adjust the combo accordingly.
  9. You can do 6b right into 632146C too In the corner you can do 6B 63214C RC 6B 5C corner loop
  10. If you don't do the crescents at the bare minimum jump height then I think they can tech. I learned it while doing her challenge 9. 6a > 9 > 214d > 6a > 9 > 214d x N Replace 9 with 7 or 8 to adjust spacing. The problem is it's much easier with the direction closest to the 6a..you kinda get into a rhythm while doing it. Off a throw if you use 9 first though it whiffs on some characters..like Ragna..who's really popular. x_x Gotta practice dat 7.

  25. I think starting when the game was first released help me "level up" skill-wise with the community. Of course there were those worse or better than me, but there were also a lot of new players. Now, the online community has died down, a lot of folks are playing/waiting for CS and it just isn't as lively as before. The majority of people you find online are seasoned vets at the game. My first step of advice would be to pick a main character. Look at how pros play in videos, see what they do, see how they react, etc. Learn the most optimal BnB combos you can do. After this you can move on to more advanced combos (counter hit combos, character specifics, etc.) If you need help with certain matchups you can read the threads here on DL for some advice. Taking a break now and then is good, there's no point to get overly frustrated with the game. You can save your replays and see WHY you lost - that can be an important step. Watching yourself play again, you can look at the match critically - "Why did I use Hells Fang? Why did I continue the blockstring when I was getting punished for it? Could have RC'd to save myself " etc. Things like that. Learning to block properly, when to IB, barrier, and how to get out of pressure is also important, but that comes with experience. Taking an extended break from the game can be detrimental to your skill. I didn't play in a few months and now I can barely pull off a TK mixup, CH hit confirm, or DP on the 1p side. So yeah, keep at it regularly, practice your combos in training mode a little if you feel rusty. Just remember that CS comes out soon, and you may have to re-learn a lot of stuff when it does However, experience with the game itself will carry over.
