  1. Yeah, i mean there's nothing that can be "figured out" that will nerf his damage or range, or frame advantage off of fireball. At best, one could learn some combos that work on him, and how to punish some of his moves, but thanks to his range, might be hard for some characters to get a good punish. Thing is i don't think any of that is enough to swing the match in the opponent's favor.

  3. Japanese wiki says you can 3h>6h>stepjack>3h>6h>stepjack~ on standing opponents. I don't know what kind of damage it does, but I guess you can do it if you want.
  4. KSMH>K Damage 50→65. Can cancel into a yoyo move before landing recovery. Can air dash after yoyo set recovery. Does not leap over opponent on hit. You were talking about jump installing, I didn't know if you knew air dash was possible or not. Just confirming. Another thing I didn't see on your first post, punch bear now returns quickly after the move's over.

I'm holding out hope that it will come back, and there are still a few people that remain loyal, but it does look like a lot of the support has fallen off for the moment at least. I think part of the problem is people in cincy have played long enough now that we more or less know who we can beat and who we can't. I asked kyle how vs went at sb and he pretty much said it was us vs ray, so i guess it takes some of the excitement out if you know the outcome before the tournament starts. Kyle hoog.   9. ^ I haven't played, but I can tell you a couple things I've noticed that seem to be significant. Shadow HS pit move seems to always hit otg or be comboed into now. My assumption is that it is no longer a low, and so rather than doing an unblockable on oki to lead to a lot of stun and extra damage, they have to take the scaling from the combo leading up to the point where the pit hits them. FB drill only hits low on the first hit, so unblockables aren't quite as free. Still possible, but for example 22d with shadow out causes the low drill hit to hit before the puke ball hits you, so you have time to block both unless it's an okizeme situation. I haven't seen the big nobiru combo knock down yet due to shadow gallery always getting both hits somehow. I'm not sure what this is, or if the combo could be timed differently to allow shadow gallery to get 1 hit and knockdown, but it seems harder. So: -unblockables are still possible, but lead to smaller air combos and cost meter, and I'm pretty sure do less damage. -main big combo does not lead to knockdown.

This is a link to a break down of Testament's specials, and the second note says that if your opponent is in the corner, you will appear in front of them. However, something like back beast (hold) iad (release) jhs or air badlands or something that hits behind Testament could be good for crossing up in the corner, or you could wait until Testament turns around during descent. lynxfort: technically "recovery" doesn't really apply to a move like luft warrant, since it doesn't actually hit. usually recovery is considered the amount of time during a move when it is past the point where it can actually hit (active frames), but the move animation is still taking place, preventing you from blocking or doing other stuff (unless you cancel it with another move or frc or something). However, to answer your question, I'm pretty sure that it is easily punishable if you just throw it out. The idea is to either do it when you have a beast waiting so as to cover your teleport, or do it when they're knocked down or something, or maybe if you can do it to make them whiff a move. maybe you could even canceling a normal into it would give you enough time to block before the opponent recovers from block stun from your normal, but if you just cancel a normal into it, expect to be put immediately on the defensive. But for the most part, if your opponent isn't otherwise occupied, I imagine he would be able to hit you at some point during the moves animation, maybe even throw you when you reappear as is the case with regular warrant.

Mike, you probably noticed this, but in case you didn't, Testament's FB skull does not move up or down at all, so if he throws it out on okizeme, I guess you're stuck ducking, but if he throws it out otherwise, if you can jump and stay in the air long enough or hit him before it touches you, you can avoid it. I know Faust has plenty of ways to stall in the air, so hopefully this helps.

Hmm, maybe you're right, but so far I don't see him getting the same crazy damage off of random hits, and he can't just forward beast every time he's in trouble and get at least an advantageous trade, so I think that's kind of a big difference. Even before AC he could mount some kind of pressure with frc beast, but now your opponent does have more of an opportunity to escape if he sees a beast coming, but of course you can just release the beast later if they end up back within range of it when they try to jump out or something. Instead of keeping them in block stun like in AC, you're creating situations where they don't know how to react, but have more time to do something if they can guess right. Although the fb skull just seems to keep them from being able to do anything. After watching the above videos, I've noticed some excellent pressure with the bird, but I also noticed several times where Johnny simply jumps out because testament has no bar and all he can do is cancel into a beast that's not going to hit him any time soon. Also wonder if testament can be thrown out of his teleport when he appears next to the opponent like he can regular warrant.

  22. oh i didn't realize i had access to that i guess. i'll just post it there next time i see it. also, we need a +r wiki i guess. jp wiki is underway, so it would be easy enough to grab their info and use it for our purposes. i noticed a video on there from regular ac that demonstrates safe jumping and 2p~2k/fd option select oki that probably needs to go in some sort of beginner section.
  23. How hard would it be to add mikado streams to the list of streams on the home page? They happen almost every day, and constantly posting "hey guys, the stream's up!" in the +r video thread will quickly clutter it up with links that are only active for a short period of time.
