I enjoy reading your blog from time to time, and keep checking this thread to see if you will update it again. I really like how you seem to remember all your matches in their entirety. I can really visualize what is going on just by reading,so that's cool. Not asking you to do it if you're not feeling it, but just want you to know that i will read it if you ever do update it.

You get a lanyard with your name on it at the venue, if that's what you're talking about. I've seen yours, actually, so I know you're in there. Just show up. I remember you from season's beatings, so if you run into trouble with people confirming who you are (you won't) ask for me and I'll confirm it's you. Side tournaments... the brackets for side tournaments haven't been made yet, so make sure to double-check once you get there to confirm that you are in all of the side tournaments you signed up for, and then you will be put on the brackets and stuff.

Thanks chase. I watched that. Looks like it might be a good game. Several of the characters appeal to me, so not sure who i wanna play, but it looks cool and I'll probly give it a shot. Also, ranbats again Saturday. Come out and play some gg. It's better than persona fighters even though it's old.

Chase, are you coming out Thursday? I heard some Lexington folks was coming out. Does that include you? I'll be there either way. We're working on that train you wanted us to build to Lexington, but it's not quite done yet.

Yo Chase, I remember reading on DL years and years ago about Eddie's unblockable (unblockables in general, really) that when a projectile and strike hit at the same time, one has priority over the other since they can't hit on the exact same frame. Do you remember which one goes first? I don't, and I don't know where to find it either. Kind of a random question but it was bugging me all day. Also, funny video was funny.

Posted the following on SRK cincy. I know FR is this weekend so chase might not be up, but i think i'm going to do this every thursday or something. ree GG tournament thursday on top of everything else. highest ranked player that isn't kyle, myself, chase magic, or jack g, or someone else that's pretty good gets 5 arcade bucks and a pack of smokes. When should I start this? With food + everything else going on what would be a good time? Is this even a good week to start this or should i postpone?

You might be a little confused on what was meant here. It's not good to sit there and wait for your opponent to attack you so you can get some kind of bonus from blocking. What someone might actually mean by that, is that GG requires you to block well, be patient, and wait for an opening, and if you can do these things, you can win. In GG, once pretty much any character gets on the offensive, they have a considerable advantage, they can do frame traps and mixups and crank your guard bar, and maybe eventually get a combo and kill you. However, if you know your opponent, their character, their block strings, their mixups, and can react to them with proper defense, you can turn the tables on them, and give yourself the same offensive advantages they just had. Basically, it's saying that blocking is rewarded, because you have to learn to do it well, or you will die quite quickly, as opposed to other games where you might not have to block too long before you and your opponent return to a neutral situation, or where throwing out invincible moves, supers, or assists is a lot easier or more beneficial than blocking an extended string of attacks. Don't get me wrong, blocking is important in any game, but in GG you will often find yourself in situations where you have to do it for an uncomfortably long period of time, and with all of the defensive options in GG, a lot of it has to do with using the right option at the right time.
