  1. Some people don't think fast enough to do that on reaction.
  2. It slows moves like running, falling (for her combos), or forward travelling like 236A or 623A, but Haku's Hop specials seem mostly immune.
  3. Some things to note about Carnage Scissors I found: Hitbox of the first hit 'moves forward' the longer the move is out, in other words, the closer you are to Ragna's CS startup, the later you wait to catch it with D moves. If it's done far away, you do D as soon as he gets close or just before. If you block the first hit, and the second does come out, the D point would be just during the red surge of it coming out, or you can counter with normals.

Throw breaks only seem to happen on ground against Jin or Ragna players from what I see, not many except maybe Nu and Arakune or Ragna use airthrows consistently enough that it could be broke, let alone from a D counter. Unless you abuse throw loop, I don't see it getting broken often, it's why I suggested jC, 5C, Zantetsu or something ground related as a followup instead of throw loop.

  6. I may have found a rather unique (but hard to use) situational counter-throw combo: Successful 2D, IAD Throw, jC, 5C, and use whatever Star move you want. From 1 star you can do Firefly if your fast enough on the throw. I haven't tried throw loop on this because it isn't easy to pull off.
  7. Anyone have a good method for baiting Tager's Gigantic Wheel autoguard DD? My wins would be more consistent if I didn't have this to deal with.
  8. We need a good mask vocoder for a perfect cosplay, kinda like Justice's voice or Darth Vader's. If anyone can memorize the Japanese quote or recall it, I'll give them the biggest cookie. "Ware wa Ku. Ware wa Kou. Ware wa JIN!..."

In this match, I tend to be looking for normals that push Nu away from you to give her better zoning and hi-lows, I've countered some Arc Impulse tactics too, but you really need to watch Guard Libra and use Barrier when needed. Once you're stuck in the air it's over. Also watch for them to try hitting low as you land, blocking low after a jump is something not many players do. j.B from air tech seems to catch Nu alot if they aren't watching where you tech. And Yukikaze works if you know her strings. Dash-in 214C can punish gravity field too.
  10. As overpowered as you think he might be, lots of things can be against your favor in most battles, especially summons who mess with your BP. Also every character tends to have at least one bad matchup. Tina vs Exdeath Cloud vs Cloud of Darkness Squall vs Kuja Ultimecia vs Jecht Those are just a few bad ones.

  18. Thanks for that bit of info, Suzaku, I'd nearly forgot about that. Chinese traditions go back even futher than Japanese if memory serves. Shinto and Buddhism as well as Zen are old foundations in China that the Japanese adopted for themselves historically. Usually cultures exchange belief systems and martial techniques as a aftermath to war (i.e. Imperialism). It's how Christianity spread. China has a war history with Japan so the culture exchange would be expected.
  19. No voice at all, and her sprites are really badly made compared to her XX incarnation, moves suck as well, Kliff's voice is worse in X+ compared to the original, like playing a tape in slow motion, also his sprites are fat and blobby.

  25. Hey so...can any of you suggest good Freeze followups, either from 2D, 5D, jD crossup, 6D, 236D, j236D, or 623D near the corner. I'd like to avoid Black Heat if at all possible.
