Is he as awesome as Gregory Payne? (GGXX/Isuka) He better be better than Neil Moody! (GGXXAC)

The question is asked in the GG2 Manual, but there are a number of ways it could be answered: --Justice called herself "just a weapon" when she fought Sol in his original GG ending, this implies that she either figured it out or was told by someone (who that someone might be is a mystery but it's possible they are the catalyst and not Justice herself). In a way this implies that she is rebelling against her creators, that she is "Justice", correcting a mistake that was her creation as a weapon. --Justice becomes, at some point in time, pregnant. It's my understanding (seeing as I'm not a woman, obviously) that getting pregnant can become a big deal to women and is, to a philosophical and spiritual extent, a very trying and life-changing experience. It affects a woman emotionally (mood swings, defensiveness, dependency, loneliness, etc) and physically (morning sickness, uneasy body functions, unnatural bleeding, sensitivity, etc). What one person may call "berserk" may just be a woman protecting herself from her point of view. No offense ladies, but nature says you avoid females when they are pregnant or with their young brood as they can be even more dangerous than the rowdiest males. If you've ever seen the pair of movies "Kill Bill" and "Kill Bill 2" you'd understand what I'm referring to. --It's Sol who says this outright, "Gears are a symbol of all that's wrong with the world." And in a sense Justice learned that her existence and powers granted her were tantamount to that. She also says with irony that "Humans use Gears to fight wars in their stead." hinting at how destructive humanity is capable of being by comparison. If you consider that, the term "Berserker" is really a misnomer in Justice's case as humans can be even more aggressive. Basically, the narrator who considers Justice "berserk" is just an example of the "Pot calling the Kettle black".

Now I just need somebody to help interpret the data and then I can work with that based on the moves I was working on. (Things like active frames for Ray Divider, etc...) Thanks KD! -
Hey, can someone give me a few Air-to-Ground tips with Ky? I'm trying to utilize his overhead game into combos but I'm not quite up to speed on how to do it: Here's an example: VT-Loop into knockdown, j.D (low to ground) and j.S (overhead) that keeps people guessing to block high or low and then....?? What's fast enough to "link" from a low j.S? I've done Vapor Thrust again but this doesn't give me many options.

Well, I had a conversation with Theria again and some things were brought to light (speculation perhaps, but enlightening nonetheless) Still, no idea what some characters are...

Not to pop the bubble that is Aksys Games' hard work at translating profiles but: This is Ed Chang's translation of it, so keep that in mind. Also, even if it says Gear and Human, the details are blurry at best.

Let's clear something up here, the ONLY time Dizzy is even RUMORED to be a "Half-human Gear" is in her PWAB profile, but even PWAB can neither confirm nor deny the rumor. With this in mind, consider that Gears have, so far, come in several flavors: Converted Gear: So far this is considered the "primary" method that most "upper class" gears are created, usually from human subjects. It is the method used to convert Sol, Solaria, Testament, and noteably Justice. It isn't certain if MegaDeath Class Gears are created this way, only that Command Types are, they are more than likely a breed of high-level Manufactured Gear. Finally, it should be noted that memories of the conversion are often retained on this level, in particular though, the only two who can claim this ability of memory retention are Testament (called the "Gear of Distortion" by Potemkin), and Sol himself. Manufactured Gear: This is a subset method of mass-production Gears that was used for Military purposes...usually with animals and/or elemental fusion. I believe Servants and Master Ghost could quite possibly fall under this category. Dr. Paradigm, despite his intelligence, along with the rest of his friends fall under this category. It is through this subset that Kinjuu (forbidden magics/forbidden beasts) are manufactured as anti-Gear bioweapons. Gear-Cell Modification: While this particular method does not entirely fall under "becoming a Gear", it can in large amounts or the proper use of cell structure. A primary example is taking doses of "Vitae" which are specifically harvested gear cells intended to replace damaged cells and regenerate any inefficiencies in the body...however this method is incomplete and imperfect as the cells will be rejected by the body if they react to a Command Type's song. The cells also tend to rupture the body as a result. A "second" method (**theoretically**) is that of obtaining gear cells through DNA fusion via That Man's device known as The Cube. The Cube doesn't simply contain DNA Information extracted from Justice, though that is the end result, but it does contain "code" that is vital to the Backyard's existence and that "code" is able to replicate DNA information from it's Key and rebuild it, the result being Diva...a hybrid of Justice and Valentine, which may or may not fall entirely under the class of a Full Gear. Cloned/Replica/Backup Gear: This method is never fully explained in absolute detail, nor is it entirely understood in and of itself. The variants of "clones" varies from an android to a "bio replica" which may or may not be perfect, given the circumstance in which it was created/converted/etc. What is known is that even cloned or backup Gear DNA in small amounts is capable of being utilized either through cell harvesting or possibly gear cell modification. Facts that remain: Having read the interview of Daisuke that Theria recently translated, I've come to the conclusion that sometime during her existence, Justice became pregnant. Now, this may have happened before her Gear Conversion (also note that her being converted from a human woman is established as fact) or during the time she existed as a Gear, either is plausible but none are confirmed so we cannot say with absolute clarity whether her "offspring" was human, gear, half, both, or otherwise, even if Dizzy acknowledges Justice as her mother, which appears to have been on a genetic level, though Daisuke isn't explicit in that or to what extent of a Gear Dizzy may be. Possibilities: --Since we know that Justice was once human (female), it's quite possible that she may have been pregnant before her conversion, which may make for quite a twist of things if she was pregnant while being converted. --Though Daisuke has said that Justice and Dizzy have a mother-daughter relationship (even on a genetic level), it is still quite possible that Dizzy is a clone of Justice...but we cannot say for certain, and that her "true child" may exist elsewhere... --We cannot say for certain what happened to Justice's body either during her conversion, during being sealed in Dimensional Prison, or what happened to her body (which could have been harvested for cells) after Sol killed her...there are too many open questions that remain. Other things: There is a link between Valentine and Aria that has been established, however it should be noted that Valentine was sent from an existence known as "Compassionless Apocalypse" that has not been described in detail. We don't even know if this existence is related to Gears or not, or even if Valentine was a Gear to begin with (though she obtains Justice's Gear cells to become Diva). I believe it is safe to assume that Compassionless Apocalypse may indeed have some connection with Aria...though this has yet to be established, or confirmed, it is only speculation on my part. Finally, concerning Aria...we do not know if she is alive or dead, only that somehow Valentine resembles her (or did, before she was converted into Diva and killed by Sol). What about Sin?: As far as we know, Sin is "to some degree" Human, and "to some degree" Gear...we do not know the entire extent of his Genetic makeup...only that it contains Justice's DNA which acts as the "Key" to the Cube, nothing more.

Honestly it's about time they used non-generic GG Art for the U.S. cover. I was getting tired of COPYPASTA.

Yes! I was waiting for this! Edit: minor correction on question 20, Daisuke is referring to Shigeru Mizuki, a mangaka who did stories on ghosts and demons. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shigeru_Mizuki

Okay, to clear things up on Marina and Solaria: --The two are "sisters" though how they are related is not entirely known. What is known is that the Blackard Company was in the process of trying to create their own "Command Type" Gears based on Justice (hence the Sigil found with Marina), as well as harvest gear cells and sell them as a form of medicine. --A lab member of the project escapes (though she does not survive the ordeal) with a young Marina and leaves the girl to a retired member of the Seikishidan's shop doorstep next to a church. He was the only one to suspect signs of Marina being a gear, but nothing happened. During a time he kept an eye on Marina as she grew up in the care of the church next to his shop. When the Blackard company began to distribute it's "medicine", it was suspicious enough for him to do some research and for Faust to check in on the matter. After a time, seemingly his wareabouts were unknown save to information he related to Ky Kiske before seeking out information on the "Hydra" project (not sure if this is related to Solaria only that it has to do with Blackard). It's assumed he is MIA after the Blackard incident. --At some point Solaria begins to "sing" during her development which triggers a manner of reactions in any and all Gear cells around her. Aside from killing anyone with minor doses of gear solution (nearly an entire village), this gives Sol a huge migrane but also triggers the reaction in Marina's legs, and ultimately awakens the Hydra. That Man wishes to record/replicate a sample of the song and use it for his own purposes, and so has Raven interfere with Faust and Sol's activities. --Faust is the first to suspect the bond between the sisters, but he is not clear on why this is. Ky checks in on Marina and the sudden deaths that occurred as a result of the song, to find her legs react to the sound. Though Ky manages to contain the situation, it is Faust who is the one who removes the "gear" drugs from Marina's system. --Sol manages to find Solaria at last and learns the truth and relates this information to Ky. Before he leaves (unbeknownst to anyone else), he entrusts his Gear Cell Suppressor Band (his Limiter) to Solaria (it's assumed when he left he built another one or had a spare). Meanwhile Ky decides to leave Solaria in the care of her "sister" Marina (though he says they are both under his and IPF's protection, the incident is not reported at lengthy detail). --To be specific, Marina is HUMAN and Solaria is a CONVERTED GEAR...yet they are both sisters. About HYDRA: --It is a MegaDeath class Gear that destroyed London during the early part of the Crusades. The Order could do nothing against it for a day and night before Kliff arrived. And HE fought it for seven days and nights to cut off 3 of its 5 heads and 4 of its sword limbs. The Order wrapped it in 13 chains, put huge boulders on the remaining heads, and left it sealed since they had other battles to fight. Though the area was declared no man's land people eventually drifted back in. Blackard, like many other companies and governments, want to create their own "Justice": a command-unit Gear to control the other Gears. They were using the Hydra as the target for the manipulations (using Solaria). Marina and her family live in a slum town built on top of the Hydra. In the end, the Hydra was awakened (though with Johnny's aid, they were able to evacuate all of the people) and by Ky's order, the Order initiated...Last Resort. The magical equivalent of a thermo-nuclear bomb emited from a geo-synchronous satellite, complete with a impenetrable seal to lock in the radiation that will take several centuries to dissipate. The Gear class MegaDeath can devastate a metropolis of 1,000,000 in an hour.

This is why I hate pairings of any kind. Even canonical pairings. They just give fans an excuse to puke their ideas onto other people whether they want to hear it or not. On a side note, I also hate pairing terminology, as Lou_Cypher presented. Too much made-up info for my brain to process.

Loops, infinites, unblockables, frame advantage, priority...basically no matter what you do, you can't win against this or that character. -
As a personal rule, I try to keep non-GG characters out of GG-related stories (unless it can't be helped such as crossing over Giant Robo with anything to do with Slayer/Impact Albert).
