PSN: Mimeblade Location: Wisconsin Once I get a working PS3, I will be playing this a ton.
-
I don't have a working PS3, I just have a PS2, a PSP, and a copy of Vanilla AC+ on each, so I'm used to waiting...besides R isn't coming until Spring 2013 most likely, so no need to panic.

"Darkstalkers are not dead" The future of this series:

I have SBX and Hokuto no Ken but I never play them....that should tell you something. Good sprites do not mean good games. :8/: Now, if Capcom fielded Darkstalkers to ARC System Works and gave them free reign over it's system without interference (ala what Konami did for Platinum Games for Metal Gear Rising), then I could see things turning out for the better. -
Thanks for the framerate infos, guys. I'll try that FDC float thing with Chipp next time I play him. Also, has anyone seen a mediocre or halfway decent Justice player yet for AC+R? I really want to know how her matchups are going to end up. It just seems like it's no contest with Zappa...but are there options?

Don't get me wrong, I've slashbacked before in matches, but it's knowing all that frame information or the changes (or even CALCULATING it) that makes my head spin. I could understand grabbing the frame data from an Arcadia Mook...but how do you guys figure it out for yourself just by looking at a Youtube video or equivalent? I understand concentration and avoiding distractions as basics, but sometimes it feels like all that data means nothing if you're slow as hell on reaction, even compared to guys who can 1 frame jump (hell, I can't even comprehend FDC air floating).
-
Where do you guys even get this information? And how would you compare it to most normals or anything else in Guilty Gear? For example, Slashback. What kind of efforts are we looking at here? Or does it all come down to physical memory and remembering how someone plays?

If you ask me, they're gonna hafta get weird like Guilty Gear if they wanna bring back Darkstalkers the way people liked it. -
Nobody reads what I say...I said BlazBlue is slower therefore it's easy to react on block...GG is faster so it would be more difficult to react. Seriously shut up about me, you guys.
-
For what it's worth, BB and other more recent ARC games are easier to react to on block, so even if GG is faster, that doesn't make it any easier to cope with mixups. It still takes time to learn the pace.

Rough changes I guess (scuze my broken translation): Axl's chain Forcebreak got fixed (not sure which one). Faust's item glitch post-battle got fixed. Mid-air aspects of Eddie's Shadow Weiss got fixed (D version and being recalled). Something to do with Testament's Gatling Tree behaviors. Zappa's Sword's "Look's Painful and it is Painful" followup got a speed adjustment. Fixed certain aspects of Robo-Ky's "Ky-maku Homerun" (something to do with it resetting). Justice' NB Glitch got fixed.

I happen to like the PSP-style D-pad, but I don't know of any PC controllers that have it on that level of sensitivity.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle

I'm confused...either he means "shit" as in "crap" as in "worthless"....or he means "THE shit" as in "awesome". Yeah I hate ghetto speech. I prefer talking like a white man. -
If that were the case he'd be completely unpredictable for a long time, so NO, thank God...

Has ARC said anything about the Justice win glitch that Kusoru was doing, yet? (For that matter, did anyone tell Tauntloop about it, lol?)

Impressive chibis, Atty. -
87 actually. But then, he's 1 year in the grave already if it's XX (2181).

It's funny how everyone's talking about how powerful an OLD DEAD GUY is...

The voice actor may have changed, but the lines are the same, just to mention.

Hahah, I guess you can call it an "extra" feature when playing anime-style fighting games if you want. But if the main I play says something cool after a decent damage combo, I'm gonna at least go for it when I can. It's not the only motivation to learn a combo, but it's one I appreciate at least. Just wish it wasn't so hard for certain characters to hit that 5k damage mark compared to others. At least Guilty Gear has penalties for full cranked up guard-bar that involve high damage and better combo opportunity (i.e. a series of counterhits) so even if it's situational certain characters can do 240-300 damage.
-
@Circuitous: Fuck you. @Sweetvids: Fuck you. @reaVer: Combos and Damage aren't the same thing. If I can do something with less effort for more damage, I will. But games that force me to do technical shit and jump through flaming hoops just to get a decent percentage of Health chipped away aren't really motivating.
-
I just want my 5k "special quote" combo easter eggs, that's all I care about. Ragna (Enemy Techs after 2k+ combo) : Die! Ragna (Enemy Techs after 3k+ combo) : Hmph! Ragna (Enemy Techs after 5k+ combo) : Hurts, don't it! If they applied those kinda quotes to GG, I'd be more motivated to do higher damage combos, for sure!
-
Oh dear, let's hope this doesn't impede the speed and flow of matches. People who hated BlazBlue for it's 'lack of damage' and preferred GG's damage scaling might not like this.

So we're finally getting a Halloween Guilty Gear again. We haven't had one since 1998, guys.

When you get the chance, Aegis, talk to Suzaku. He recently learned a way to rip Storymode faces and he's probably working on a raw png full set!
