What Pachi needs to do with the Guilty Gear franchise
Blade replied to tataki's topic in Guilty Gear General
Honestly, if you want AC or AC+ with Netcode that's ONE thing.... But wanting a new GG with graphics/netcode that rivals BlazBlue or Overture is another. Arc System Works isn't obligated to cater to the hard core crowd and give them EXACTLY what they got in AC or AC+. If anything, they'd want to improve on what worked and get rid of what didn't work, or convert it into something that DOES work (which is more or less what they did with BlazBlue anyway). I'm not "especially" fond of Overture's Graphics, or SSFIV's or MK9's (even if MK9 plays well), but I sincerely doubt Guilty Gear's style is going in that route. The only reason Overture was 3D is because the whole tactical gameplay aspect couldn't be realized in 2D-based action oriented games of past Guilty Gears. If you ask me, you should keep the whole "I want AC+ with Netcode" and "I want a new Guilty Gear" schools of thought separate, since it's obvious you're focusing more on the former than the latter. As for myself, I miss the intensity and wackiness of the Original Guilty Gear. Maybe that game was broken, but some of the ideas it had were original and fun. If there was a means to play characters with chargeable specials (basically if everyone played like Tsubaki), I'd play it. The speed at which the first GG played meant that charging was the least of your concerns, but still optimized how effective your attacks were. Ky, for example being forced to rely on Level 1 Stun Edge pressure instead of spamming Level 3 all the time like he does in AC, might actually change how he plays. -
Please FIX this article: http://guilty-gear.wikia.com/wiki/Justice We do NOT KNOW that Justice is Aria...THAT IS PURE SPECULATION!!

What Pachi needs to do with the Guilty Gear franchise

Basically you're saying instead of a new GG, you just want Accent Core with GGPO Netcode. Sorry but I'm not gonna agree with this. I'm happy with BlazBlue's netcode AND Graphics... I don't see why GG can't have same or better. -
Because Command Type Gears can revive and generate more Gears, it was like trying to find the central hornet's nest of Gear Plants, to stop the Gear population from growing. This is also why the Order spent most of their time responding to distress calls instead of attacking the Gear Plants directly. That, and the Gear population had been known to be 3 times the size of the Order's largest airship fleet, meaning attacking central Plants was a suicidal mission.

Isene is an island located in the kingdom of Villtania, just to add. The Order's policies on Blacktech (guns, cannons, satllites, etc) are very strict, as they cannot use weapons that have lasting effects on the environment, or be easily used on humankind. This has a lot to do with their foundation as a military organization created by the United Nations, likewise the original purpose of the Post-War Administration Bureau, which they worked with..the two groups are the military equivalent of a toxic cleanup facility for B.O.W.s (bio organic weapons). Gears originated in various manufacturing facilities called Gear Plants. A Country, Old world Zepp, and many other sites in the world had these Gear Plants. Justice' insurrection essentially turned these Gear Plants into "hives", bases of operation for Gearkind. Gears could be generated in mass numbers from these Plants. The Sacred Order based many of their military operations in locating these Plants and destroying their functions.

Elvenshadow, did you ever develop those pics you took at Frosty Faustings III (I recall my pic taken lol)

Why does nothing happen in Milwaukee?????????

Operation "Last Resort", it was a satellite, actually.

Well, they're called sealed weapons for a reason, so it's alright to speculate, just know that the facts aren't available yet. It doesn't help that a character like Tyr who WAS a god of lore, can cause OutRage to resonate. He was sealed away for a time besides. Further, BlazBlue's Mu-12, mentioned "7 Celestial Gods" and whilst that's unrelated, it's logical to suspect 8 gods were sealed in the Jinki, Jinki translates as "Divine (Godly) Tool", on top of this.

Hwoarang gave me a tingle of hype.

Analysis/Commentary/Review/Discussion of GG's story
Blade replied to danceljoy's topic in Guilty Gear General
I am currently under the working impression/theory that places like Underwood Hill (GG2), the Underworld (GGJ), and Slayer's home dimension (Makai, GGXXAC+), are all inadvertently linked to the Backyard...pretty sure Backyard comprises data not just from Earth, but whole Universes...like the Matrix on Meth. -
In case anyone cares. http://www.sendspace.com/file/ft5r5k

Analysis/Commentary/Review/Discussion of GG's story
Blade replied to danceljoy's topic in Guilty Gear General
That's a discrepancy on my part (danceljoy pointed it out ages ago). Ky's age is an extrapolation from 2175 the year he was given the title of Commander and the Thunderseal (he was given the title at age 16, no other info was given)...as to how old he was when he met Sol...I can only guess at 13. In truth, he was given the title at 16, but we don't know for sure when this occured (most likely after Sol went AWOL). What's more there's a time gap between when he got the title and when Justice was actually sealed...so I guessed it was 2175, but since Sol went AWOL around 2173-74, he might have been 16 then. Sumimasendeshita! m- -m (Very sorry!) -
I could scan mine, but it's the Atlus version with typos and mistakes an missing terms...I gathered all the story bits into a single FAQ though...I'll bundle it with my other GG info later....

First image isn't loading, but oh well...point made. I'm thinking about bundling all my 'compiled info' into one massive rar file as annoying as that will be, since webhosts appear synonymous with video ads and redirects...ugh.

lol Wiki grafitti...I have zero experience in coding Wiki stuff, once I get my WiFi card, I hope I can help more. (Typing with my PS3 d-pad right now)
-
Any news on whether or not this will be a patch on PSN? I don't wanna sell my game...
-
According to Siliconera, this is coming to PS3/Vita, so I'm hyped.
-
I'd play you but Ad Hoc Party only works on Ethernet, not WiFi
-
Gilgamesh Genbu from Type 0 that's still unreleased.
-
So I'm guessing America has no hope of ever seeing Mognet missions or new DLC????

Juubee *Facepalm*

Obviously he'll explain the origins of all 8 OutRage Jinki eventually, and how Dizzy and Gear plants are tied to them. We'll just have to wait, sorry!

Haha, writing about Sol is like writing about the entire GG Saga... I'd consult with Danceljoy on Wiki stuff. I wrote GGR articles you can find here http://darkside-ky.deviantart.com/gallery/25793023 Don't forget to check the Guilty Gear Plotline Q and A Thread!

Analysis/Commentary/Review/Discussion of GG's story
Blade replied to danceljoy's topic in Guilty Gear General
So far your working theory is that magic is genetically tied to living entities on an elemental basis, however, realise that Gears are manufactured, they can be given any elemental property their maker chooses, even multiple or non-elemental properties as is the case with Testament who is a T-Class Humanoid Gear. Living natural organisms aren't bound to elemental magic either...Slayer and Izuna are such cases. A.B.A. has been known to wield Flame and Lightning elements in her attacks besides. The key here is understanding that certain elements are more difficult to control...Ky's prowess with Lightning is the main reason he was granted Thunderseal...not because the element was native to him. In Sol's case, he relies on his strength more than Fire magic, that's why he lost to Justice the first time they fought. It wasn't until he stole Fireseal that his abilities improved. Retroactively speaking, Ky lost the Thunderseal, yet his fencing skill with his customized Aquila can still relatively match Sol's.
