And, sad to say, but I don't think that was a complete translation of the novel anyway, since I recall running it through a Korean Translator and the novel didn't seem to be complete, only a few pages in that I found. Either way, we're back to square one. My suggestion, buy "scrappable" copies of the novels that you can destroy the binding for, and scan the crap out of them, then run something like SmartOCR Lite (JP version), paste all the stuff in a text document, proof it, then we can work on translation. Point being, the diagram I made is less about directions and more about elements each OutRage represented, though it's tradition to say Heaven is North and Earth is South. That, and Sol's an American from the West. *shrug*

I understand what you mean regarding Turtle Tiger Dragon Phoenix etc, but Daoism, Zen, Buddhism, and Shinto tend to deviate from one another about what is really considered North and South. Old Chinese says South is actually the geographic South-West, and North being North-East. This was long before the Earth was fully mapped out, or that we even knew the Earth was round. In older transcripts I've read, it wasn't about the directions, it was about opposing elements. (Heaven > Earth, Wind > Lightning, Fire > Water, Mountain > Valley)

I didin't use Wiki as the main source for that particular diagram. Chinese Feng Shui (read: Geomancy) isn't very specific about the Cardinal Points, either, I looked at different sources and none of them say which ways are right, Wiki is only ONE of many many sources on that subject. What's more, I need to update that diagram anyways, since I didn't list Slayer yet. There's a lot of theory, but nothing majorly specified, so we're poking at guesses at this point. Just understand the whole point of the symbolism relating to the 8 sacred treasures and you get the point. For what it's worth, I-Ching and the 5 elements are old as fuck, and mostly monastic hearsay (monk gossip), so there was no standard back in those days.

@Circ: Obvious evidence is obvious, don't say I'm wrong just because you feel like it. Ki is Ki, he says it in the dialogue and in terms of use it applies, in the Japanese Script source it's called Ki which translates as Spirit Energy. Sure it's no Hadouken or Spirit Bomb, but being able to control trajectory/speed is one form of Ki use. @Kitsoru: PWAB was analyzing people since long before they were supposed to be dismantled, which means anyone who was alive during the war who had any sort of power could be listed. @clockmongler: Special or not he uses Ki, which means he can potentially fight Gears and Forbidden Beasts (which he does, which earns him leadership of the Guild). If it were magic, they'd be referring to Chords and Sequences, Ki has been known to be used for sensors and threadlines for puppetry and other control-oriented techniques, so expanding one's own Ki around a cueball to control it's trajectory isn't beyond the bounds. If you still don't like to believe the obvious, then you might as well not believe Slayer has an OutRage which was just as obvious. :/

He says it himself "Ki wo meguraseta boru" [My ki encircled the balls]. If that's not proof, I don't know what is. And anyways, they didn't make a big deal out of Kliff being a Ki user either. Keep in mind Venom's an Assassin, so obviously he'd be hard to capture, or analyze. I'm not even sure P.W.A.B. even KNOWS his abilities' full extent.

Just a mention, even though it should be obvious from having read NoK, Venom is a Ki-user, though he does use physics and triangulation with his Ki. Particularly when he froze his shots in place, he wraps his spirit energy around each ball. It could also be speculated his ability to suspend balls in the air for Stinger Aim and Carcass Ride involve Ki as well. I don't know about Dark Angel however, as he exchanges his cue-stick to summon it, so it's probably a form of contract magic (like Exebeast). Deimmu Borgir (Dark Fortress) uses his Ki to surround his target with kinetically frozen balls, though I assume the target turning into a ball themselves is more symbolic than actual Ki compression or Magic, though his throws treat them as such. Anyway, the kinetic impact is strong enough to detonate the target.

Thanks, danceljoy...now you start to see my mode of thinking. :D As for Faust and Baldhead...honestly I don't even think Baldhead was his real name to begin with...even if the Assassin's Guild knew of him or that was his code-name...Baldhead was probably an addle-pated delusionary name based on his appearance while being insane. I think he goes by Faust now because of the irony of his past relating to the old tale, so that's not his real name either. As for them being the same...Venom I.D.'d him so it's best to say "Most likely". In Faust's case it's "most likely" he was Dr. Baldhead. Just like nobody knew that Bruce Wayne was Batman...at least in the main story. We can say that Bruce was "most likely" Batman because of the evidence the audience is given.

Heavy Implications don't mean you can list them as true in a Wiki Article, allude/speculate maybe, but stating as Fact is a big NO.

Debunking means "to make clear what is truth"...that doesn't necessarily mean that the truth goes against or will support the claim. The truth is a series of facts presented, but they are not linked. It's human nature to try and link facts.

Right now Other Ocean is having problems making Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection's netcode work properly on PS3, nevermind Naomi Board games...I know you guys want GGPO as a standard, but I don't think Devs find it feasible yet.

I said this before but, I think it'd be great if Record Input came with more options, like for example: You record an attack or action, and you set it to only do the action "After Blocking", or "On Wakeup", or "On Recovery", so that people are more wary of sudden counter-moves, and how safe or unsafe their moves really are. Say you recorded Sol to do Volcanic Viper, setting him to do it after blocking your attacks, means you can practice safer guard strings, and you'll know if it's unsafe if you get hit with his DP, this would also help make Okizeme safer.

If possible I prefer Fighting game ads, that's just me though.

Argh argh argh ARGH!!!, why do people keep saying he worked on Aria to be Justice!?? I have to vehemently debunk this statement. The only thing about Aria that is said is this: And the only other thing that IS implied by this comes from the first Guilty Gear: And the only reason "Just the three of us" is assumed to mean Aria, is because of That Man's Backstory "Isotope & Isolation" Everything beyond that is SPECULATED.

My thoughts on post-overture characters: Sol: --Has a new dive attack (Mighty Mowdown), but this isn't the same as Belial Edge, it'd be more like Kliff's one limb cutter move where the hitbox gets bigger near the bottom depending on how high you start the jump. Moves diagonal like Kliff's j.D. --Crimson Jacket? (Improved Defense armor for maybe a hit or two). Ky: --Holy Brand (similar to Gunblaze, but meant for crossups rather than aerial combos). --Ground Gatling Combos would be more suited to cross-ups (think some of Zero's dash moves in MVC3). Raven: --Probably will play like Lambda (but with Bang's Mobility in the air), with more emphasis on Slow Fields (like Gravity Wells), and firing needles. --Lots of Teleporting, and being able to turn into a Raven Sin: --Probably a mix of Kilik and aerial Chun-Li (rapid fire flagpole pokes), with lots of space control with his Voltic Eye --A controllable RED R.T.L. that can go horizontal/vertical/diagonal etc. (R.T.L. = Ride the Lightning) Izuna: --Invisibility plus sky-running like Hsien-Ko = lots of mind games --Probably he'll have side-step parry slash moves, similar to what you see in Last Blade games. Dr. Paradigm: --He'd probably be a flying type, lots of mobility, kinda like M.O.D.O.K. --Lots of summons and assists from his Tribe buddies. --He could use his Aegis barrier and Apple Drop for trap setups. Valentine (Human Form): --She'd have Rachel's air time (being able to fly high and float). Lots of potential air combos. --She'd probably have something similar to Mu-12's Stein's Gunner ability. Valentine (Robot Form): --Mobility with more emphasis on Firepower compared to Justice. --Ground shockwaves that could possibly draw people in towards her for Chainsaw elbow combos (think Shang Tsung's skull combos mixed with what Cyrax can do). That Man: --Think the final sub-boss from the first Arcana Heart, lots of firepower, but you have to break through his defense barrier to do damage to him. --Probably lots of moves like Dizzy and Mu-12, but less mobility. --Can generate walls to block attacks.

I'm not saying CSE couldn't be used, I'm just saying that moves like CSE could be chargeable to be more powerful in exchange for the risk (which is basically how Order-Sol and Tsubaki work, even Jin works in a similar way as his "charged moves" act like Forcebreaks). I don't know if you've ever fought someone who spams jumping CSE and Stun Raise Forcebreaks, but that controls a lot of airspace and creates pressure just as much as normal CSE oki can. Basically, I want to see a GG Mode that lets characters move faster, have more jump cancel opportunities (in exchange for losing burst obviously), and have chargeable moves instead of Forcebreaks. Many characters already have moves that work in charge levels anyways, Venom's Stinger, Jam's kick moves, Johnny's Mist Finers, Sol's Volcanic Viper, May's Dolphins, Millia's Pretty Maze discs, and Zappa's souls.
