All right, cool. Thanks Astaroth. I'm still a bit worried about the wireless controller thing, though. Sony doesn't manufacture wired PS3 controllers, so if Shin isn't cool with people being careful with them, I'll be forced to use a third-party controller (which doesn't seem fun OR comfortable).

I'm a pad player and I consistently place in my community's BB tournaments. I don't have much desire to learn stick, even though I actually own one. I've just always been more comfortable with a controller in my hands than a stick, maybe because I didn't grow up playing fighting games on an arcade cabinet. Oh, and unlike most people, I actually prefer the analog stick to the D-Pad. Call me crazy if you'd like.

Hey Shin, I've got a quick question. I vaguely remember talking with some people about Final Round last year, and there being mention that button mapping/shortcuts wasn't allowed. I looked over the Rules, and the closest thing I could find was the ban on turbo buttons. To be clear, what I'm talking about is setting things like A+B to L2, or A+B+C to R2. So is what I remember legit, or was it a misunderstanding on the party I talked with? EDIT: Oh, one more thing. I noticed that one of the rules is "No Wireless Controllers." Does that mean wireless controllers, charging cable or not, are not allowed? Or does that mean no wireless controllers without the charging cable? If it's the former, that needs to be made much clearer, because for us pad players that would mean no first-party controllers.

Ah, I didn't know that. I'll have to try it for myself and see how difficult it is. Except for maybe that, Hazama doesn't seem more difficult in Extend though. If you were still considering learning him, I'd encourage you to.

I own Battle Fantasia and played it very briefly, but I never really understood it. It reminded me more of Street Fighter than an Ark game. :/

The evidence points even more towards this when you examine the two spaces above Mu and Relius at the character select screen. They're modeled similarly to the placeholder for Mu, and hovering the cursor over them doesn't activate the random select button, just like it did in CS1 before you unlocked Mu. But like I said before, I didn't find anything that might indicate placeholder files for any DLC characters. I guess it's possible I could have missed something, though. I'll keep looking for the time being.

How ironic- electronics usually blow up when you go TO foreign countries, not when you get back. :P And thanks Tad. I wish I could have improved the Valk combo myself- I just had to end the combo with Tager on the ground and still be able to combo into the Astral, and I couldn't figure out how to do it. D:

Excellent, a fellow comrade in Astrals. :3 Lambda's is surprisingly underused IMO. Since it's a command grab that comes out in one frame after startup, if your opponent hasn't already done something to put them in the air or in invincibility by the time you use it, they're screwed. If you get good at timing it, there's no limit to all the things you could punish with it. :D But you're right, Ragna's Astral is easily the best in the game IMO. It has a bajillion invincibility frames, you can combo into it from pretty much anything, and the animation is so deceptive on blockstun that most people don't know how or when to punish it. :P

Awesome. Middle Tennessee Needs Out-of-Staters. :D Just a few things, though- the first (and probably the most important to you) is that there won't be a February MTN. Our T.O. is pushing the community to go to Final Round instead, since he probably realizes going to two tournaments within a week of each other simply wouldn't be doable for the majority of us. The next is that we play on console set-ups. Even though MTN's are held in or close to an arcade, that arcade has never had anything more than a Calamity Trigger cabinet as far as Blazblue is concerned. So feel free to use your control scheme of choice, as long as it's for the 360. And lastly, I'll shoot you a Friend Request ASAP. I'm always interested in seeing what new people have to offer. :] I'll be busy until Sunday though, so hopefully I'll be able to catch you guys on some time after that. Oh, and just a fair warning- I love me some Astrals. Just sayin'. >:3 Of course. Hope you get that account back soon though. :<

I haven't personally tested them, but I'd imagine most (if not all) carry over just fine. Some could probably be a little more optimized, especially with the new 6B change though. EDIT: Wait, I forgot about the 22C -> 5A change. Yeah, that's gonna change some things.

Same here Milln. And I know this is kind of changing the topic, but has anybody talked to Tad recently? Do we know if he got back from Europe all right and whatnot?

Is it the format of the voices that's the issue? Or the ripping process itself?
