Like Astaroth said, whenever Seiki posts anything regarding gameplay, the thread EXPLODES. That, and Milln just announced what the Mystery Game is, so that's pretty hype-worthy.

God, I haven't played a fighting game in like five days. MUST. PRACTICE. MWC- SO CLOSE.

Veeeeeery sneaky Milln. Props on the game choice. It's not really something you can practice for- it mostly comes down to reflexes. It's just... Wait until the visual/audio cue, and hit the button. Worst case scenario, you could just watch the video and tap your thumb down whenever you see/hear the exclamation points/sound, if you REALLY wanted to "practice" that badly.

SO MUCH HYPE. Now it all makes sense. The being quiet for sound cues part, sides not mattering, etc. This is going to be the most intense thing on the tourney floor, I can feel it.

Considering a home version doesn't seem to exist a la Milln's last clue, it has to be something arcade only... But what could it be? I've done more than thorough research trying to find an arcade game with the initials SK and can't find ANYTHING. Here's to hoping it's something awesome, though.

I knew Astaroth is Lee, Grimstar is Billy, Milln is Johnathon (sp?), and Seiki is Naimat before the topic of names came up. I don't know anybody else's names though. Sorry guys. I think I'm going to cry. I can't find any option to resume downloads, and the upload last night failed AGAIN. I may just have to see if I can upload them somewhere else and get somebody to download and upload them to Youtube for me. Last night was literally the fifth attempt, and I don't understand what could be going wrong. :/ If I can convince my parents, I'd like to put some money towards the hotel room and sleep on the floor if I'm welcome to. Milln's place seems more economical, but I'm sure he's going to have quite a few people at his place already. I'd imagine the hotel room wouldn't be far from the arcade, too, so it's theoretically more convenient and less driving = more sleep. I can't make any promises, though. PM me details, I suppose. Sorry I can't give a more concrete response. X/

At this time of posting, the first part for the Grand Finals matches is ~75% done with 70 minutes remaining. I'm hoping this advanced file upload feature works (at least in regards to resuming uploads) because both videos are around 1 GB each instead of the >2 GB Youtube lists the feature for. In short, I hope I wake up to the rest of the videos along with the rest of you guys. Sorry I don't have them up yet, I've had them edited for a while. Like I mentioned on Live a couple days ago, the few times I've tried it the ETA comes out to more than four hours for just the first part, so I try to get it done when I'm sleeping (and when nobody's using the internet, my mom her computer, etc.). Unfortunately, every time I've woken up to "the upload failed due to an unknown error" for both. I'll try uploading it again tonight, and if I get the error again, I'll break the videos into three parts instead of two so I have a better chance at getting them uploaded.

Holy shit. The one day I don't get on Dustloop, this thread expands by more than two pages. Poor Naimat getting ganged up on. Still, the funny thing about this whole conversation is that it started with "I realized why Japan put him with Tager on the tier list. on wakeup he has no reversals except," as if you see Japanese players throwing out wakeup DPs all day. Bang doesn't NEED an Inferno Divider. What he lacks in defense he makes up for in speed and offense. I see and hear you complaining a lot about how Bang's normals are a lot slower than everyone else's, but take a look at the frame data- we're talking a matter of one or two frames. That's completely handleable. Besides, like Eshi said, just because Bang's defense options have counters doesn't mean they're unusable. Shit, every time I use Inferno Divider it's a HUGE risk of leaving myself open for a free combo, including Fatal combos. You just have to assess your situations and decide whether or not the benefits would outweigh the penalties of using things like guardpoints or Distortions. I'm not trying to be critical, nor am I trying to jump on you while everyone else is- those are just my two cents.

Wow, that's pretty terrible. I mean, my parents don't keep me locked up in my room or anything ridiculous, but I do have my restrictions even though I'm an adult. Hell, I'm even restricted to the company I can invite over in some cases. That said, I can totally see why Star might have wanted to delete his last post. That probably wouldn't have flown with my parents, either.

Haha, yeah, it seems like the majority of the Tennessee community is posting in the MTN thread or (more currently) the MWC thread in the Events forum. Tennessee isn't half as dead as it looks here. :P

I like CoD because it makes me feel American. Eating purple throws and DPs in Blazblue isn't enough.

I pick my games like I do my mains. :D While I hate to lie to my parents, I'd be willing to to make it to a Blazfest. Keep us updated.

I could bring my Flip camera to record some of the events, but it maxes out at two hours of recording. I was planning on recording/editing the Mystery Game, too, I just forgot to mention it in my last post. :P And I can arrange for commentary on my computer, but it only has one of those mic slots. So unless two people would want to share or I can come across a splitter and an extra mic, we'd have to record the co-commentary through someone else's computer.

Thanks for all the props regarding the videos, guys. I've been working really hard to get them done the past week or so, so I'm really happy they're being received well (the descriptions especially :3). All I have left to do now is upload them, but I occasionally (at random, seemingly) get these "The upload has failed for an unknown reason" messages. Not sure what's up with those, but rest assured I'll keep trying until they're all up. Regarding recording at MWC- I actually planned on recording and editing for Marvel and Blazblue, and possibly Arcana Heart... No offense to anybody, though, but editing takes long enough for me as it is, even over the summer. I simply don't have the resources, the time, nor the willingness to edit everything that goes on at MWC. However... It would be stingy of me to say "I'm only recording games I'm interested in and THAT'S THAT." It's not like I'd be losing anything by letting people make use of my capture card, after all. That said, if you'd like to take on the responsibility of editing a certain game's videos, I don't mind you making use of my computer. All I ask is that you bring an external hard drive/large flash drive and the necessary cables to accommodate the video(s). Just give me a heads-up in this thread or via PM if you're interested. So. Video progress. It took a while, but I managed to get the videos from my computer to an external hard drive, from the external hard drive to my mom's computer, and from my mom's computer to iMovie. I haven't used iMovie in a long time, so it blew my mind when I found out four hours of video was going to take 22 hours to process with thumbnails and whatever being generated. O_o Anyway, I'm saying fuck trying to get all of these up at once and uploading them as I get them done. It's just more manageable this way, though I still prefer the idea of having them all available at the same time for some reason. Bah. Expect videos soon. Also- something I noticed with this tourney inparticular (and this is the first time it's happened) is that every time someone resets the Xbox, the audio gets more and more out of sync. The only thing I can guess might be the problem is the T.V. in combination with the recording setup, though I don't have any way of making sure. It's not as big of a deal since videos are more manageable on my mom's laptop/iMovie, but it's still going to be extra work for whenever someone turns the Xbox off/on. I understand that some of you guys use converters that require they be connected before the Xbox is started up, though, so all I ask is that whenever the Xbox needs to be reset for whatever reason, that I'm informed so I can stop and start recording accordingly.
