I'm sure something will work out, Astaroth. When it gets closer to the event date and people start actually making plans I'm sure some opportunities will show themselves. :] Also, regarding the carpooling thing, I think I'm just going to take my car up there. I was talking with a good friend who goes to UTK and we made plans for me to stay at his place for the night. He plans on coming to Kumite and having a good time, too, so I hope some of you guys will get a chance to meet him. He's a really cool guy and a great friend, and I'm secretly hoping he'll get more interested in the fighting game scene in experiencing all the hype. :P

Sweet, thanks for the info. Just want to make sure I label everyone correctly for when I get these videos up. Sorry about the whole 18 brackets thing being annoying to manage- at least it's not editing three 2.5-3 hours of video. :P I don't know how the fuck people get events like these up the next day. Oh my god guys, PLEASE remember to button check at the Character Select screen, or restart the match if they aren't right after you've started next MTNBB. I keep having to edit out button checks, which makes my job much harder and it makes viewing weird (since the BGM just kinda skips).

All right, I'm copying and pasting all my shoutouts before I submit them this time. Last time I made three similar shoutout posts (all really long) and EVERY TIME Dustloop logged me out before I was done with the message. So when I clicked "submit" it took me to the login page, and after I logged in, for whatever reason, it didn't save or send my message. :/ Let's get this thing started: Laststarsaviour- I have to admit, I was really surprised to face you in the first match of the tourney, and even more surprised to play you again a couple sets later. :P I felt (and still feel like) a bit of a douche having sent you to the loser's bracket AND sending you out of the tournament since I know you're better than that. There really should be a clause that states something else to do in that kind of situation. :/ That's not to say I didn't enjoy playing you, though! You played an awesome Noel as always, and I wish I could have had time afterwards to play you again, especially against your Hakumen or Makoto. Keep up the great work, and I expect you to give me a run for my money next tournament as always. :] P.S. I can't remember the name of your friend, but the component cable Milln has is his. Mathias- The moment I started playing you in the tourney, I thought "holy shit, where did this guy COME from?" I mean, Tennessee has a LOT of Tagers, and since you weren't at the last tournament I thought you might be a bit of a newcomer. Boy was I mistaken. :P Really, not only do you have a solid Tager- your defensive game is one of the best I've ever seen. I really couldn't seem to surprise you with my blockstrings. I'll have to work on better approach options and mind games for the next one. Keep it up though, man. I was dead serious when I told you I'd be (literally) afraid to face your Tao if you got her advanced BnB's down. Your approach options are the best of any Tao I've ever seen (even on the internet) so I hope you'll give BB more of a shot. And sorry you didn't get to play GG like you wanted to last night. XD Naimat- Holy shit, your Bang is as ridiculous as ever. I mean, I've thoroughly seen what you're capable of online, but that's nothing compared to what you can do offline. It was good to see you nailing all those inputs (pun slightly intended). I know you might feel like you weren't as in the game as you could have been, but you performed spectacularly. If you do decide to pick up another main and use him/her for the tournament next time, he/she better be as great to watch and play as your Bang. :D Hope to play you online some more before then like always! 3/5 rounds in BBCS is rarely ever used, mainly because certain characters get advantages/disadvantages due to the new Bursting mechanic. The mechanics were much different in BBCT, so 3/5 rounds were more common in it.

Well, it's good to hear your family member's condition isn't deathly serious (no pun intended). My only advice would be to make sure whatever kind of directions you get PUTS YOU IN NASHVILLE. I used Mapquest a long time ago when I first found out about Game Galaxy, and long story short it put me somewhere between Nashville and Cookeville... Right below the border of Kentucky. :/ As long as you can get a ride, look up directions beforehand, and head out relatively early, you should be able to make it on time for the tourney. Shit man, I'm really sorry to hear that. D: Wish them a speedy recovery on all our behalves. Of course we'd love to have you there tomorrow, but family definitely comes first. Okay. I've literally got a suitcase for all the equipment I'm bringing, which includes a standard 360 setup, component cables, two capture cards, two external hard drives, two laptops, and HYPE. Spent the afternoon training and sparring so I think I won't get knocked out as SOON as possible, but I can't shake this feeling I'm going to get knocked out extremely early. >_>; The only things I won't be bringing regarding setups is a T.V. (seriously, I would if I could, but I've got the only S.D. T.V. left in the house and it's so bulky I can't pick it up off the thing it's sitting on) and the Firewire Dazzle. Nobody ever contacted me or volunteered their Firewire enabled laptop, and I was only able to come across two external hard drives anyway (which I'll need for the two laptops I'm bringing). From my understanding I won't be the only one bringing capturing equipment this time around though, so we're probably covered in that regard. The only thing I'm worried about are T.V.'s. I don't recall anyone specifically saying they had a T.V./T.V.'s to bring, and it'd be a really lame tournament if we didn't have any sets to play on. We could call it "Blindblue" or "MTNBB: Tsubaki Edition" and play without being able to see what we're doing. Doesn't that sound like fun? NO. So if you have a television that's even remotely portable, don't not bring it because you figure everyone else will. Looking forward to tomorrow SO MUCH. Can't wait to get some Astrals recorded. ;D Also, you can expect me at the arcade around 10 to 10:30. I've got plenty to set up and plan on picking up Naimat unless something changes. The forecast for tonight changed within the past day- we're looking at a 30% chance of scattered flurries tonight. :/ I'm going to be so pissed if the roads get bad tomorrow.

Roads were like glass on the way to my classes this morning (my dad even called in to work late and took me in his SUV), but the sun's out now and the roads are seeming to clear up. I should be good to go tomorrow morning. :]

Oh, speaking of recording, this is a reminder. I've still got two capture cards we can use for the upcoming tournament- one Dazzle Plus HD, and one Firewire Dazzle. I might be able to bring my dad's laptop for the Dazzle Plus HD and I'm already bringing mine for the Hauppauge. That would just leave the Firewire Dazzle. If you've got a computer that's compatible with Firewire and wouldn't mind volunteering it, please get in touch with me. I've got an external hard drive so you wouldn't even have to worry about it eating up your hard drive space. Thanks in advance.

LOL! Like, he started using Ragna because he saw me playing? If so, that's amazing. XD I think the idea is awesome. I agree that people get really pulled in by "official" stuff, and given a channel specifically for MTNBB, we'd get a lot more views. If you wanted to make a channel for it, I'd be more than happy to upload what we'll get in upcoming tournaments (and what I got from the last tournament, if you wanted that footage as well :D).

HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT I thought this was one of those "we'll 'think about it' to keep people happy until the deadline gets close and then we won't be ABLE to add it" things. 2011's WAY too hype already. :O My only complaint is that BB is set to 3-5 rounds rather than 2-3. When I hosted a tourney on GameFAQs a while back, I got a lot of complaints that "certain characters get advantages with 3-5 rounds due to lack of Bursts." At the time I didn't realize it, but I have to agree now. I mean, that's one less DP for Astaroth per match. :/ I didn't want to bring it up just yet and sound ungrateful, but I want to mention it before Kumite. If one of the reasons they were thinking about not adding BB is because of time constraints, it may work out better for everyone to only play 2-3 rounds anyway.
