  1. (2) You're lucky I'm such a nice guy and you post so many vids in the video section and I like watching vids a lot. Lol, you see I need you around here, so don't think I didn't report cause I'm being nice, no, lol. I just need you for the vids you post. You can bet that if you were just some member who did nothing you would have the FBI busting down your door at 6am tomorrow morning. So don't go on thinking that you're off the hook, cause the minute you stop posting vids will be the minute I finish my "Someone stole my identity" email that is destined for a certain federal law enforcement agency's inbox, lol. So you better keep'em coming. hahaha. I'm actually being serious, lol. I'm like the joker. I laugh and make jokes a lot even when I'm serious.

  2. Yeah nirvana's moves seem to recover faster in CS. You have to start the 2D loop in CT at a high height, slightly above nirvana's head, if you want to do 3 consecutive reps. Although 3 reps doesn't seem possible cause your opponent would tech before the third in CT. Whereas in CS even if you start the 2D slightly below her head you can still get 3 reps. Her moves also seem to come out faster as well. Is it just me or does she have faster recovery and startup on all her stuff? The whole same move proration thing is interesting. I too thought that the volante combo was just for show, as in they could have done a more damaging combo without volante. So I'm guessing volante actually makes the combo more damaging in the end? Although by how much is the question, assuming it does increase the damage? I definitely can't wait to get CS and try all this stuff out.
  3. Hey Just wondering. Do you work for Arcsys?

  5. Hey tofurr where is your avatar pic from?

  6. I've been thinking about you axis for some time now. It's been so long since we've played and I actually miss playing you, lol. I've been playing Chance Wizard, Elda Taluda, and CommanderofTroy a lot lately, but we go wayyy back to my throw looping days, lol. Truthfully though your tager is the only tager that holds a place in my heart. I've never cheated on you with the others, and any fooling around with them was done cause I was lonely and they reminded me of you. We need to play again sometime, and I can't wait to play you some more in CS.

  7. sorry for the late reply Nah, I never got into GG. Shame really :(. I should have since I like BB. Yeah I didn't like the throw loop either, so I stopped throw looping months ago. Lol, I also got my name from Samurai X. Truthfully, when I first saw you on the forums, I was like "What the...Who does this guy think he is stealing my name?". I was actually very pissed and wanted to get in a fight with you, lol. I would have been happy if a mod perma banned you, hahaha. I felt salty that you stole my name, and I didn't feel unique anymore, lol, but now I've forgiven you, hahahaha. I'm sorry for holding bad intentions towards you, lol, you've proven to be a nice guy. Just next time atleast consult me before you steal my identity, lol just joking.

  9. haha, nah I play carl, and I plan on adding tsubaki when CS comes out. Lol, I actually hate jin, lol. I guess it's because like 99% of jins blackbeat everything, and I know full well I would have punished 99% of them severely if not for the waggle out of ice mechanic. Lol, maybe CS will change my mind? I've always wanted to ask you. Did you get souseta from soujiro the tenken? The character in the anime Samurai X, also known as rurouni kenshin? If not, where did you get it from?

  10. Endless Tears Lambda combo vid
  11. I'll try and answer arcade's question. I don't play lambda so plz correct me if I'm wrong. The problem is lambda is not as fast as Nu. The recovery on everything Nu does, melee and range, is flawless. She can whiff attacks and the opponent can't punish cause she'll either recover fast enough to block or even counterhit her opponent's attempt to punish. Her already godlike melee/range attacks are made even better with her backdash and get out of jail act pulsar that gets her out of corners. Not the same with Lambda. Nu's melee and range attacks also come out very fast. Her melee attacks are almost on par with CT rachel, as in they are almost humanly impossible to react to accordingly. And even if you IB, you still can't punish her, just like rachel. Not the same with lambda. The reason why you don't see many lambdas just rushing down all the time is because you can actually react to her melee attacks now, can actually punish her if she whiffs, she has no backdash to escape pressure, no act pulsaring through opponents once they get you in the corner, 2C isn't the answer to everything, etc. Lambda's want to rush down, but they also want to keep you at a distance. The last thing they want is to be cornered cause that means death in most instances. Trying to rush down only as lambda will get you killed once you start playing opponents that know what they're doing and how she works. In CT Nu can do what ever she wants to whoever she wants. Now lambda has to actually play matchups differently. This time, trying to rush down most of the cast, especially characters like tager, bang, carl, litchi, ragna, etc all the time will almost always result in a loss. The damage they'll deal from counter hitting her during her rushdown and the pressure they'll apply after is greater than the damage she'll deal during her rushdown. So the risk vs reward is not in her favor. You have to mix in rushdown with zoning, with your primary focus being on zoning. That's also why lambda has the best guard breaking ability. It forces her opponent to actually have to do something, other than just get a life lead and run away. Her rushdown is just a complement to it. As in, "If the opponent gets close she isn't completely useless" kinda thing. Trying to rush down too much will get you killed. Trying to zone too much will have the same effect. She's a rushdown/zoning hybrid, like rachel. Trying to win with only one of her strengths against competent opponents isn't going to work. Her melee attacks are actually punishable now.
  12. lol, okay I'll give you that, I did say it on a blazblue board. Lol, it's just I thought someone how you would have linked it to Soul Eater, lol. Nah I haven't played CS in a long time actually. Do you play it regularly?

  13. LMAO, hahaha, I was talking about Soul Eater. Lol, I thought you chose the name black star from the character in the anime Soul Eater. Have you seen soul Eater? lol, sorry to confuse you.

  14. How is Tsubaki? I hope you're not treating her like crap anymore?

  15. thank you sooo much that song is so effing cool. I think I'm going to kill myself while listening to it, and it's all going to be your fault, lol.

  16. Hey kurushii do you know the name of the song from the BLAZBLUE STRENGHT wmv you posted?

  17. I see you have carl in your avatar. Do you use carl?

  18. lol, you can't compare carl's pressure to litchi's and bang. Carl's entire offensive game has a lot of holes for the opponent to escape or counter. Most people don't realize this. Sandwich pressure is not air tight like most people think it is. He has one of the best blockstring pressure, yes, but that's because of his complexity. When a carl has you in a blockstring he's most likely going to try and hit confirm with either IAD j.2C allecan crossup/ an unblockable/6C. You can jump out or counter hit him during all of these. Most people choose to stay put cause if their jump out is baited with 8D, well..free combo, and carl's most damaging stuff are his aerial/juggle combos, so staying still and trying to block accordingly is not a bad idea. Carl's entire game (trying to hit confirm in sandwich/corner pressure, resets) is full of holes. There's a lot of baiting and making your opponent commit to things. It's a guessing game for the opponent and carl himself. Except this guessing game favors both of you. Carl gets opponent in a blockstring and attempts to hit confirm Opponent guesses right, blocks accordingly but doesn't escape, good for them, but they are still in sandwich pressure. They guess right and escape, carl has to chase them down again. They guess right, counter hit, and a huge chunk of carl's life goes, but unlike other characters carl's life doesn't let you make many mistakes. Carl guesses right/baits and counter hits, he starts a combo, which leads to a reset attempt. Carl guesses right on the reset attempt and he continues to drain their life. Carl is high risk high reward. If his opponent guesses right and punishes, a huge chunk of carl's life is gone, but if carl guesses right, then a huge chunk of his opponent's life is gone as well. This is not the same with bang and litchi. Their pressure is safe, and you dare not try and counter hit them unless you IB. Bang's pressure is safe, then you add his nails, and the fact that you have to deal with God's Fist (5A), etc. Litchi - full screen safe poking, counter hit litchi only to get counter hit by her staff and eat damage into corner rape, high meter gain, etc. You cannot say the same about carl. Once you start fighting people who are looking for his j.2C crossup, trying to jump out of unblockable setups, CHing you out of 6C, you'll see how "safe" his game is. I think what you meant to say dacid is that carls pressure is good because of his unpredictability. It can be hard to block him accordingly when he can cross you up with IAD j.2C off 2A/5A/5B, has unblockable setups, crossups with nirvana, can bait jump outs with 8D so you're almost forced to stay put at times, etc. Carl can link all of those into each other, so it can be hard to block accordingly. That's what makes his pressure good. His pressure is good because of the amount of stuff his opponent has to look out for, and not because it's safe. Carl actually has one of the most unsafe playstyles, but this is remedied by his high damage if he guesses right. I guess it's because I'm a carl main so it's easy for me to see the holes in his game.
  19. Sorry about yesterday. I and someone were chasing each other down in ranked. I'll try and join next time you have a room going.

  20. (1) "I already called him being S tier, Soujiro. You can't call that. ;)." Lol, c'mon zong. I want to claim some glory later during the "I told you so" phase when arakune becomes S tier. I thought you'd be a good friend and allow me to join in on some of you're success when it does happen. People are going to be saying "Zong called it a couple months ago", and I wanted to share that fame with you, lol, but I can see greed got the best of you, haha, just joking "God, all these resets push my mind into overload when I'm actually playing, and I go into autopilot a lot. Which doesn't help. All of my friends block my typical 5B IAD crossups. I need to mix myself up, so that I can start mixing them up again. :vbang:"

  21. (2) I know exactly what you mean. It's so much stuff and you have to know quite a lot to be good with carl. People eventually catch on to your resets so you have to keep mixing and matching. That's why I wanted a resets/strategies thread just so incase you wanted to mix/change things up it'll be easier to find where to look, but I didn't expect carl to have this much, I mean damn. I was so angry at you zong while watching the ranbat vids. You hitconfirmed FC j.B with nirvana close so many times and you could have done this VID, which is in the resets/strats thread, lol, but I understand. Carl feels like homework now cause you have to know too much if you want to be really good with him, and it can be hard to remember all that stuff all the time.

  22. (3) I also noticed how you kept on doing the 3C j.B j.C reset all the time, lol, and so I understand what you mean by autopilot mode. Every time you got a sandwich loop going, I was like "zong don't go for it again don't go for it again", and you'd upset me, lol. I wanted you to win so bad, and I kept getting angry every time I saw the 3C j.B j.C reset. I was like "has zong forgotten everything", lol, but i guess it was your autopilot mode. I thought I was done with that thread, but I just keep finding more and more stuff. It's getting ridiculous.

  23. lol, mac what are you doing in the carl forums? You're not supposed to read the strategies/resets I'm going to be using on you in CS, that's not fair and you're cheating, lol.

  24. I know, but they're crouching and they still got hit by 3C, that's what I don't understand. If they blocked 3C and 2D hit then that's understandable, but they are still cr.blocking, and 3C hit? Does this have something to do with the game's mechanic, or they just stopped blocking 3C? But it looks like they were still blocking low and ended up getting hit by 3C anyway.
  25. (1) Carl's comeback is actually very bad. In CT, it's lessened when I fight hakumen and tager cause they are both slow, but even then it's still hard. Every other character is faster than haku/tager, so running away/turtling/countering is very easy to do against carl. LMAO, mac you know my game too well. I'm so sorry about the first game i feel like I tricked you, lol, but I promise everything came back that game with you. I don't know how, but it did. It must be because you're the true mane, and my skill grimoire was activated when I came in contact with you, hahaha.
