Nothing looks as cool as 3C > 214D~B > RC > Jyakou to 3C > Jayoku. Or Jyakou in corner > 2B > 5C > 2C > 4D~D > j214B# Gashoukyaku is just an awesome looking move.
-
Yeah, that first one's the one. It looks tight I never TK Hirentotsu, so I doubt I'll be using the latter, haha.
-
I know for most you can usually get the 10, but I tend to just do the Hirentotsu when I feel I'm going to drop it, lol. The only combo I've ever noticed legitimately gets dropped before the 10 hits is the Ressenga starter. That one can only go up to 7 before you Hirentotsu or they can tech out after the 8th jC.

The dash 2B combo can be started from 5C or 5B, but you can't do 4D~A in that combo and it will do 2568 damage. The one that starts with 3C can include a 4D~A and does about 2664. Note, I don't actually keep track of my jCx sometimes so damage may vary a bit, and if there's adjustments to damage for the console, naturally stuff will change there too. You HAVE to use 2A if you hit them with Ressenga when they're crouching. Also the Dash 2B is just an option if they're out of range for Zaneiga. It has it's limited uses but yeah, you want to go with the Zaneiga BnB under most circumstances. EDIT: I'm working on a corner combo that involved 50% heat and 2D chain damage > j214B# ... cause it looks cool when Hazama shoots the chains straight upwards EDIT2: Reposting because Eclipse missed the damage calc I did for this BnB: 5B > 3C > 214D~C > (Dash) 5C > (JC) [j.C x 5] > (Land) 2C > 4D~D > j.214B# [3171] damage with 5C starter.
-
I probably won't be testing on any other characters aside form Hakumen, I'm not that meticulous or interested. Also, after the Ressenga combo, you'll do the launch then it has to be a 4D~D (unless you want to end with a Jyakou), then you do jCx5>jCx3>Hirentotsu. If you try to go for the whole j214B# they can break out during your second string of jCs. It has to end at 17 hits, I forget if that's 2 or 3 jCs for the second bunch of them. EDIT: It's 4D~D > jCx5 > dj jCx2 > j214B and it does 1880 damage.
-
Ok, well, my dash 2B combo still works when I did it on Hakumen, redbeat. Easy on CH, not so easy without it. Also, pretty strange, but the way Hakumen works for a Ressenga combo start (with 5A instead of 2A) is that it's possible after a charged hit, but not uncharged.
-
Shouldn't have entirely deleted that other thread, bjholmes2 *hopes for namesearching* Could've used some of that intro stuff in this thread.
-
Alright, I'll start testing on Hakumen from now on.
-
Yeah, I know lots of things redbeat on Tager. I'll try with other characters later, of course. I been doing Tager mostly b/c he he has the most health, haha. I'll probably just test the two extremes. Who should I test against w/ a small frame that isn't Carl? Dash 2B hits pretty solidly under most circumstances, and if you land 2B, you can land 5C > jC
-
2A is also good b/c it makes you duck under a handful of attacks and grabs, though And yes, I asked because I see 2A being used a lot, but if it's mid-combo and the proration is similar, I don't see why I wouldn't use 5A, it seems to have a little bit more stun/hitconfirm time.
-
Ok then, when I get the damage down I'm going to just use 5A, it's much easier.

5B > 3C > 214D~C > (Dash) 5C > (JC) [j.C x 5] > (Land) 2C > 4D~D > j.214B# [3171] damage with 5C starter. 5C > 3C > Dash 2B > 5C > 2C > 4D~D > j.214B# [2898 Damage] Going to see right now if I can get a 4D~A in there, too. Sometimes it seems even after a Dash 2B you'll be out of range for the 2C, but you can still go for a jC*5 > land Jyakou. I don't have the damage on that yet, though. 2A > 5B > 3C > 214D~C > (Dash) 5C > 2C > 4D~D > j.214B# [2206 damage] Also, pretty random, but also cool looking; you can link a 214D~B after a 3C, lol. Might have some fun with that in the future. K, well, too much lag to followup even after a regular CH, but you can probably get a RC Jyakou combo after it if you want to look super flashy. Even just 3C > Gashoukyaku does 1036 3C > 214D~B > RC > 623D > 3C [2281 damage] lol, if you're in the corner or have 100% heat you could probably do a lot of damage with this thing. Going to just update this post as I do it. I know in the combo listed you can do the retraction and 4D again. Does 5A or 2A prorate more? I'm having trouble landing 2A after a non CH Ressenga, but 5A is really easy to land after it. I'm also done for now, lol.

5B > 3C > 214D~C > (Dash) 5C > (JC) [j.C x 5] > (Land) 2C > 4D~D > j.214B# [3171] damage with 5C starter. Going to just update this post as I do it. I know in the combo listed you can do the retraction and 4D again.

Yeah, I've gotten it to redbeat, at least on Tager for sure. It's much easier to do after a CH, timing is crazy hard. I actually only got it to work because I thought that people were supposed to dash into Zaneiga, instead of Zaneiga to Dash 5C, lol. EDIT: For the record, you can do 4D~A > 4D > 623D [2676 with 5B starter]
-
You should add 50 heat disclaimer to the mid-screen RC combo. Also, I don't know why people keep ignoring this one, but if you 3C too far away for Zaneiga when starting a combo, a Dash 2B will setup into 5C (in Zaneiga's places) so you can continue the BnB. I may play some today so I'll see if I can get the damage for them... probably won't be getting the huge Jayoku combos though, not consistent enough for that yet.

April isn't very outdated :\

Whatever you do, DON'T check the Video Thread or anything...
-
More than the longest version, you should post the most damaging/most common to land, as those are more useful and usable, of course.
-
Yeah, just make the thread and post it and then edit it as you go/get feedback. Also, you can still do the divisions by uses (BnB, Throws, "Too Far for Zaneiga," etc.), and then just use parentheses and backslashes to denote moves that can be used interchangeably: 2A > 5B > 3C > 214D~C > (Dash) 5C > 2C > 4D~D > j.214B# 5B > 3C > 214D~C > (Dash) 5C > 2C > 4D~A > 4D~D > j.214B# would be (2A) > 5B/5C > 3C > 214D~C > Dash 5C > 2C > (4D~A)/4D~D > jCx > j214B Obviously put in the longest/most damaging combo as the one listed, people can shorten it if they want to, you don't need to put in every shortened iteration.
-
It's really not that hard to do 5C starters (especially after command grab), but 5B does seem to give you more time do to the 3C followup. If the opponent is too far for Zaneiga you can do 3C > dash 2B > 5C > 2C > 4D~D (not sure if you can get a 4D~A in here before then) > Cx > jCx > Hirentotsu The timing for that is really freaking hard, though, but I've gotten it to red beat.

This video isn't even a match, but it's pretty entertaining imo, and, I must say... I'm surprised it took this long to happen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=df-iETND5FQ&feature=player_embedded

Does 5B or 5C prorate more? I think everywhere that you put 5B you could replace with 5C if it gets you more damage, or denote that they both work? Finally starting to get that dash after Zaneiga down, occasionally still end up tossing those knives though XD Pretty funny thing about them, the knives have three hitboxes, so when Tager tried to 2D me, he charged through the first 2 but the last one hit him; and when he did Magnatech Wheel it like, stalled the animation, lol.

Someone who is active and actually playing the character should remake this guide and keep the combos up to date, and then this one can be locked. Makes sense, no?
-
People share a ton of the combos they've made/seen, they're just too lazy to compile them, lol. This thread is littered with combos.
-
Is it? I know that I've connected dash > 2B into 5C before, but the timing is ridiculously strict (not so much off counterhits)... the Zaneiga > dash > 5C makes a lot more sense though, lol. I'll mess around with that some now.
