  1. I'm sure you're not trying to say LK killed Blazblue for you... In so many words... Right?

  2. For saying your defense improved a lot and you became more patient, I was hard pressed to find more than 2 episodes of Tager blocking. You did an awful lot of buttons and whatnot that doesn't tell me defense and patience. Lambda match was more worrisome. -First thing right off the bat you sledged in CH territory. Don't sledge from that range vs a good Lambda or it's CH 5D 236C corner combos and loops and all kinds of damage. -Always neutral tech Lambda. 5D is too scary to eat by laying there. She isn't Bang. -Need to punish Lambda's backdash more. Or at least use it as a time to use 2D to get in on her rather than just waiting at 5D/6D range for nothing. -You ate a LOT of swords and combos for seemingly no reason. Work on blocking more than trying to push buttons and get in. IE stop sledging on prediction and sledge on reaction. Stop using sj.C try jumping barrier. Walking helps too. -The meter came from you getting combo'd under 30%. If you remember heat auto gains under 30% health so that on top of getting stabbed 100 times will get you meter. -Dropped round winning combo in round 2. Finish combos more. Instead of doing random MTW because you had 100 heat you could've just killed her instead of making it a guessing game on whether or not you win. -Hit confirms from ground to air. Say normal 5C hit in the air AC is free after that. Just minor things like that lead into mediocre damage and magnetism rather than Lambda being fullscreen again, thus making the matchup easier from then on. -Bait Gravity Well with j.B
  3. Completely forgot Bang had 2A double action. >.> Haven't played against Bang but three times in CS. Ever.
  4. Well at this rate, if posts count for points, Michigan, Jersey, and 360 players will be kings in no time.
  5. You can IB 360A everything but 2D and 623D in drive. And Assault through, but that move is
  6. http://shoryuken.com/f7/focus-fire-event-wong-marn-more-dec-11th-12th-over-%2410-000-cash-prizes-247063/ Trying to get a BBCS midwest event going. Post up on SRK and get BBCS on the main game list! You should also show up to beat up my scrubby Tager! Dead thread is dead. Nobody from current scene posts on Dustloop.

  8. Wisconsin BB = Free-r than free with a cherry on top.
  9. I appreciate the care taken to make him look like his last rendition. Right arm missing and everything.

  11. How was your first tourney experience? When you get used to playing under pressure it's fine and you'll start performing better. My first BB tournament was in CT..and my first opponent was Carl. And you weren't kidding about B-Sledge. Anyway, basic things to touch on. -You mash buttons when you are getting hit. I saw like 5-6 counterhits on you in about a matter of 3 seconds in one instance. This isn't a good thing. Work on blocking mixups and learning what can combo into what from certain characters so a small level 1 hitstun combo isn't going to be mashed out of where an entire air combo and what not, it's alright to mash. But if I were using Ragna and saw you mashing buttons after I hit you I'd run up and jab you a few times, wait, then 2C you for a Fatal Counter combo. Blocking in the long run will do you much better. -You have an overdependancy on normal grabs. Normal grabs are not 'bad' but there are better options in almost every situation than grabbing with B+C. Everytime you grab the opponent a 360A/B could've sufficed in that situation. It's alright to slip a normal grab in here and there, but a good player will be teching these throws so all they are doing is essentially just making sure the other person is awake, rather than going for damage. -You mash 720. Not a good thing, probably an online tendency. Try to confirm your 720s to know when they'll work and when they won't. A whiffed 720 should be half your health everytime. -Judging by the first 30 seconds of the Tager mirror, you guys don't know the matchup. Spacing and footsies guys. Spacing and footsies. -Blocking in general. I saw too many random lows or overheads hit you. Overheads hitting people, this is America. But not blocking low is bad. In fact, you ate an awful lot of everything. Concentrate on blocking more. The more you block the more meter you get/the more impatient the opponent gets and you get to capitalize on mistakes.
  12. You better be giving me props for that. Also spike distortion is also known as the Gang Sign super in chicago.

  13. Have you looked at your character in CS? What don't you have that is risky? Just get better at reacting with 3C is all.
  14. You guys forgot you can still 3C it.
  15. @ Hitage I just wanted to point out a few things. -You barrier an awful lot. Not sure why you'd push them away from Tager's best range. -You don't instant block all too much. If you instant blocked more the holes in the opponent's blockstrings would be very apparent at times. -That Haku wasn't really playing that matchup all too safe at all. The only reason you lost was because he capitalized on your mistakes instead of you capitalizing on his. -Not to mention you let yourself be 'pressured' into blocking multiple 5A's and 2A's. Those are not safe by any means. Just throw a 360A out there and Haku will stop throwing jabs out for no reason. -Also, blocking overheads. I know we're American, but it helps to try blocking overheads once in a while. Just a few things. I could go into larger detail, but sometimes it helps if the actual player himself looks at things and realizes what he could do better.
  16. I'd just leave it up to the mods to decide. This thread has served it's purpose a looooooong time ago.
  17. Yes but every argument for elitism that has to be squished will end up like this thread.
  18. Then blazblue gets an even worse name in the community and we'll never be at a major again.
  19. UNS1? Yeah. Find a reason to not use Itachi/Ino/Tenten and I'll tell you that you just lost because you didn't pick Itachi/Ino/Tenten.
  20. Also, if you want to get more exposure on your podcast, you should submit it to SRK's tip line to get it front page.

  21. I just confirm the IB then spin the stick real fast. I'm decent at confirming it but some of the 720s I'm aware are just stupid hard. Even some of them I can barely spin fast enough to do it consistently. If using a stick the best advice I can give is try to not abuse the gate and try spinning without it. Just learn where the catch (The spot where the direction is recognized) on your stick and practice on getting precise rather than mashing wildly on the gate until it decides to break. =/ If on pad, 720s should just not be too hard on DPad or Analog stick. So I can't see why pad 720s could be hard. But then I can't play on pad anymore so that has nothing to do with it.
  22. Well it's northwest suburbs. It's 20 minutes from me but, I'm also 30 minutes from Chicago. And this is all happening Friday...

  23. Nah...it's even further from you than Chicago. And a trip for 6 hours of casuals isn't worth it imo. Don't worry about it.

  24. Wouldn't lag make it harder to block Ara? Hmm. Add me on PSN. I'll be online eventually.
