  1. 6A will never beat any air move as long as it is jump cancel friendly. Correction. CS Tager could IB in between Ara ground strings and IAD j.B to punish potentially fatal mixups. Now if frame data is still relevant to CS (Probly not) IAD j.B is unpunishable on block. 6A 5D is now a true blockstring etc etc etc Free curse on block against non reversal characters. Hooray. Can't even jump out with a 6f jump.
  2. Rewind this back a year. So instead of tech rolls they have to eat the mixup! 70% of cast has a guilt free way out. Super Armor 6A! So instead of guilt free way outs for 70% of the cast they all get punished by 6A! Wakeup Throw. Wakeup Gold Burst. Wakeup 2B. Wakeup DP. (Once you start not doing 6A) We didn't progress. It just made the chain of things that we do go up one more before the eventual cycle of Gadget Finger is back again. IE. Current Tager Japanese play. 6A is combo fodder. Not Super Armor Oki goodness.
  3. Average in MvC2 is 80% damage combo. Average in MvC3 will be 80% damage combo. Strider and Phoenix will basically have the same health. If they get hit they die.
  4. Sentinel throw in corner c.lp lp rocket punch Plasma Storm is 100% Sentinel air combo with unfly/capcom assist is 100% Any infinite America's favorite VDO's goodness 15 seconds of team Duc Juggernaut j.hp s.hp headcrush or just headcrush if glitched. Strider had no health.
  5. So you want a Bang poke, a Bang sweep, a Bang overhead, and an infinite loop of Gadget Fingers.

  7. I read the last few pages. CT was a vastly different game system was as well. With things like Danger mode being there for every burst to discourage bad bursting. Tager used this more than anyone since if he baited a burst (LOL autoguard bursts allow jump cancel IBs and whatnot) he basically automatically won the round if he had meter. A Heavenly Tager Buster? Potemkin didn't even use it for Antiair. Basically due to the fact it wasn't invulnerable and was able to be hit out of from the air. You used it to stop certain situations and lockdowns or you combo'd into it to get that minimum damage. Well, Potemkin was also designed to not be a grappler. There are tons of characters in the fighting game universe that aren't grapplers but control and dominate the close up game really well. Most of these characters hit really hard and have beefy as fuck normals that were also fast. Why is Tager bad? Remember in CS? Mori said that a grappler in the higher up tiers makes a game not fun. He wasn't referring to Potemkin. He was referring to early days Street Fighter 4 where everyone and their mother thought Zangief was god tier. Or Battle Fantasia's arcade edition where Donvalve had infinites on everyone because they forgot to put in pre-jump frames as being unthrowable. So Tager is a grappler. But his normals betray him and he has no reversal that is actually useful. Lariat? 50 meter for one sure. And then it does mediocre damage for a super. 360? With enough practice you can notice the animation and stop attacking and jump out. Atomic Collider? Gets beat by most jumping moves anyway. 720? It's a true reversal, but in a losing fight you'll only get one. Or you won with it. Either way it's a 50/50 that will either win you the game or lose it. Look at Super 4 Gief. How many times do you see Vangief depend on the 720 to win? Nope, Gief has footsies and combos. Look at Tager. He has no oki to the point that Gief has. His knockdown power is weak, he has no crossup (Don't give me j.2C as an answer either), and you don't need to respect an 11 frame 360! Tager is forced to rely on one move. 720. So therein lies gimmicks to find ways to land 720s consistently to put you in positions to win more games. Most people who mained Tager were all about landing the 720 since it's little work to land over 60% because the opponent didn't hold up or messed up a combo or blockstring. Reverse beat normals Tager getting reverse beat gatlings wouldn't change anything other than oh i dunno, giving him an anti jump game? Frame traps? But those gatlings wouldn't help nearly as much as a level increase on moves or faster startup pokes. Make 5B 5C combo normally please. So we can have 5B 5C HELLSU FANGU combos.

  9. Always worked. But how often do you anti air with 6A? Never. It's not an anti air. So don't use it as such. It isn't 6P. Tager v Mu is now 9-1. Mu only got better and more combos. Tager already lost that matchup 7-3 and could only win if you could get an advantage on their mind rather than their character. Now it's more like LOL YOU LOSE. And 6A vs Mu will help her get more hit confirm to get a CH 3C for the non techable state. Hooray. Instant Block made so many strings punishable it was amazing. Look at the (Now obsolete) instant block thread. But there's nothing we can do about that now. Tager is dead. ??? It beats every projectile in the game. If it has a chance to trade with a projectile just rapid on SB hit and block the projectile, then continue with the combo. Waste meter to get damage? Not a problem imo.
  10. IB nerf destroys my playstyle of CT/CS Tager. I probably can't even play the game anymore after that. Still 6f jump. 6A is easy to react/punish. Footsies still suck. More characters got better. Tager got gimmicks. Still no Sledge Break/movement move. Hammer is still unsafe as all hell on block. CT Jin.

  13. I'd say this is 2nd worst. Tager has absolutely nothing on Valk. Tager at least has a guessing game against Mu after Gadget. Anyway, I've gone over this matchup since launch. I've got nothing more to add than play Ikaruga.

  22. I've yet to see anyone do more than 4k without these 2 used. I dunno man. Ronove seems bad. His counter whiffs a lot on some characters, his Genocide Cutter can be easily baited and punished, EX Genocide Cutter when baited is asking for death. His normals are ass too.
  23. Only if you have a godlike laptop. Lagging after activating Meta means no play.
  24. I like this game. But apparently I can't play it because I play Ange/Ronove and that's a bad team since I don't have Eva or Lucifer on it.
