Really looking forward to meeting fellow Canadian BB players! Thanks for the support! Haha sorry about that, it looks like the Q&A hasn't been updated; my schedule in my first post is up to date! We will still be accepting early registrations tomorrow at 8pm-10pm AND registration on site for side tourneys the next morning at 8AM - 9:30AM Also, I think that if you still pre reg tomorrow night, the venue fee might be $50 still instead of $60. Don't quote me on that. EDIT: the spectator fee is the venue fee, you're essentially paying for all the services at the venue Yea i've seen some of the drama that happened because of the T12 venue fees. lol Although still pretty expensive, the original venue fee was $40 for early birds I don't think Tokido's pre reg'd in BB but he just arrived tonight so anything can still happen. If he doesn't join i'll pay him to beat me MM him.

One of the things we were trying to accomplish with the increase of venue prices was to provide incentive for people to register early so we can plan out as far head of time as possible. Although yes I do agree the price may seem steep for people who aren't there for the main events but that just provides us more incentive to get our scene more noticed. CCG's also not pulling any punches for the venue, Markman(of madcatz) will be setting up booth there along with other vendors, raffles will be drawn, the stream is going to be flawless, etc. All I can ask for now is to go out and just support our local scene, Calgary's still relatively small scale and CCG's has been working non stop to get us put on the map. If it wasn't for Canada Cup last year we probably wouldn't have even known there was a BB scene in the city. In the past couple of months though, I've managed to make some noise in the Calgary SRK thread to spread the awareness that there is a BB community in Calgary and now we have some set ups at Calgary HQ (a place that was opened up in summer for Calgary's FG community to get together and play locally outside of tubby dogs) so i'm hoping that we can get more BB players to crawl out of their shells and come out and play! Last year we had only 12 people in the BB tourney, this year we have at least 16 pre-reg'd last time I checked so our scene's actually growing! I'm sorry you feel that way Jordan but we're slowly making some advances. The reason why the Xbox was chosen was for us have a strict standard due to our ambitious and tight schedule this year. With a single console standard we won't have to waste time swapping consoles out in stations and worry about making judgment calls in console timing. The pitch for using PS3 was definitely there though and it wasn't an easy choice, but in the end CCG bit the bullet and decided to update the consoles and just buy the DLC for multiple consoles. Last year was the first tournament they ever ran so hiccups were to be expected. I was pretty pissed too, they seriously decided who was going to run the BB tournament the night before, that's why I volunteered to run BB this year. They're definitely putting 1000% of their effort into making the tournament run much smoother this year though so please look forward to it!

Well this is the final stretch, Schedule's finalized and hopefully at least one of you guys out of the few hundred views are coming so this thread didn't go to waste. =( Top 4 BB will be on stream on Sunday and we might steal a few matches on the main stage before the main tournaments the day before. But I'm not sure when exactly they're going to be on stream and whether or not it warrants a stream on front page request. If anyone's still interested in watching, Vesper Arcade will be streaming the the event. Also, BB is going to be on 360. I'll probably have an extra BYOC BB station on PS3 after side tourneys end. And if anyone cares, it's snowing in Calgary.

Yea i just saw

Ragna deserves it lol. I think there might be something a little bit different about the trajectory of the opponent getting knocked around from 2DD. 2DD > 6DD > 2DD didn't work very consistently in CS2 but it seems alot easier. Also, due to the 236C nerf, we won't be able to do 236C > dash 5C alot anymore. Depending on hitstun deterioration we would be doing 2DD > 4B instead.

I haven't played the game in a while so bear with me if this was stuff that was the same in CS2 >_> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USIvG0OmMew&feature=feedu 3:07 Valkenhayn just kinda bounced off of 236D without getting pulled in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QCcu2GbGDI&feature=feedu 1:52 Can't tell if backdash got longer or got more invuln or just a really nicely timed backdash, there's another one late in that match. (Or maybe just Chuck Testa) Not sure if Yoshiki was just being fancy, but I noticed he hit some nicely spaced 214Ds that would've led to 5DD>236C but he didn't try them at all, 214D might've gotten nerfed? Meh, when I have time i'll comb bbs.

2C P1 Nerf
-
2C got some sort of nerf. Didn't really look at it. 3C counter hit makes it a really sweet poke now. You can combo things like Spike chasers and sickle storms off of it leading to midscreen 3800 combos without meter and gravity.
-
Why can't we have a real discussion? =_=
-
Sorry I was editing my post while adding stuff. 5D was a typo for 4D, so no. The gravity not lasting as long seems to fit more since it was listed as a nerf on Nantoka and there was discussion about different combos needed for gravity.
-
The 2DD > 4B gatling is still in! (I'm also assuming 6C is as well) 4B can only be cancelled from the second D in 2DD/4DD. 2DD > 4B > 2DD > 4B > 2DD > 4B is possible lol The 5D was apparently just a typo for 4D. Apparently the 5C change is a decent buff since it makes hitting combos easier and more consistent. The hits come out as fast as possible too. Due to the Cavalier nerf, it doesn't look like the 5DD > 236C loop works anymore and that it might be harder to hit 5C if 236C hits too high, so we might need to resort to 236C > 2DD > 214A > etc. The gravity nerf seems to be that the gravity doesn't last as long. Not 100% sure. Also the 6C nerf was gone a while ago.

There's some discussion among the guys on BBS but the verdict is that it's still the same as far as we know. Any "discussion" from BBS i'd take with a grain of salt.
-
I guess ASW is happy with where Lambda is right now. I wish we had some more new tools to play though.
-
That's gone too, it's only 236C now that lost untech time
-
Anything not listed from previous lokete are assumed null. Edit: drive gatlings are assumed to work on the 2nd D as well. (atleast according to bbs)
-
you might as well cross off the double gravity seed, there's no reputable source behind it and everyone on JBBS doesn't believe it
-
Have no fear, Vancouver and Calgary shall team up and dominate Edmonton
-
Probably a combination of all of that. It doesn't ever feel like there's a neutral situation against Hazama with Lambda. And the dropped combos 3rd round didn't help either. Noticed a lot of times he did a 2C to 214D which was probably a failed TKCS i think. Even more off topic; Hazama's abare(especially midscreen) got nerfed pretty hard so I can't see him being broken.

I have a playlist of notable CS2 Lambda play on my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/MetsuNoLimitz#grid/user/95157ADBF5C3527E
