I guess countering gold bursts isn't normally what happens anyway; it's green bursts that we counter usually. It's situational.

Yup that and Tsubaki. I hop Tsubaki and it just goes through the 720 and then I fall into it.

Awesome. :p For the record, I started using gold before everybody else. I set the TREND. Also the Sword of Doom level is the best. Also why did you just run into that Spark Bolt Shin.

So gold bursts are unchanged? I know we can only use 2D in Extend to punish one of the bursts. Maybe both.

We don't have happy new years, only grim seriousness. I think you can't use counters to punish bursts either.

From that video it looks like just saying fuck it and going for jump outs against pressure as much as possible is a good idea. Considering it worked better than my attempts to block it out, I might as well try it. He was also way more tame under your pressure than when I played him. Normally I touch him and he goes nuts.

Tao's AAs are spammable. She can just run up and hit 6AAAAAAAA until it hits. I think Valk's mixup is strong, but if you can wait it out or find an opening you can actually have a chance to do something. With Tao it just never ends. And as far as being more aggressive, Tao thrives on having you throw out moves and getting you hit. Not sure what else you can do though aside from be super super cautious but that'll just get you timed out or hit anyway.

Nah, just recording is fine. There's a lot of good matches I have that I think, "Damn, if only I could've saved it." I'm just not sure if I need the card or some adapters or something to run it through the computer or what. The current card I have lets me capture stuff but you can't really play and capture at the same time. I hook my 360 up to the computer and then it records through the cables. I can then view what's going on the screen on the computer, but it lags like 2 seconds behind.

This is a bit of a silly question, but I have to make sure. You can backdash to avoid meaties, right? It's frame 1 invincible? I have a friend who keeps trying to backdash on wake up and gets blown up for it, but I'm pretty sure he's just timing it wrong. Same with 360A on wakeup, but I know that doesn't have any invincibility on startup until frame 3.

All of this is pretty much true. I think Valk is easier though. I'm not sure how effective Hotaru is either since if you land a hit while doing air footsies, it's not like you can really capitalize on it. Unless the purpose is just to make her scared or something... but is that worth two stars? She'd probably just dodge it and rape you.

I could see Ragna side stepping a sword and continuing running after Lambda.

What kind of setup do you guys use to record offline matches? HOW DO I DO THIS.

Damn. 2A > 2A shouldn't be anti jump though, 2A isn't air unblockable is it? And it's not a low.

Well, I always thought BB had a similar teching system to Melee. Same with the barrier blocking and airdashes and double jumps.
