  1. Probably casual. I always try to get good at games I play but I didn't exactly even know there was a scene for it back in the day. I just played with my friends as much as I could and whenever other people would play it. I was pretty much the best in my area or best as far as people I'd play. I could never figure out how wavedashing worked. I always liked Smash, but I still have a hard time thinking of it as a real fighting game. It's not Street Fighter 2. I think even the competitive environment is casual in comparison probably. :P There's still a large gap between a "competitive" player and someone who doesn't know what they're doing though. I was always interested in finding more players to play. I knew as soon as I heard that Brawl would have online that it would be unplayable because of all the split second shit I have to pull off when I play :P Too bad it turned out it wasn't just the netplay that was unplayable. :toot: Who did you use? I also used Mewtwo.

  2. Shoryuken, or the website which is basically Dustloop for Street Fighter. Shoryuken is basically a universal DP term in fighting games though, for the motion of 623.
  3. I've never used it to randomly hit people out of pokes. I don't trust my execution enough for it; I'd get hit out of my hop instead. I just use it for frame traps and punishing baited anti airs. What are the situational uses for 5B and 5C?
  4. Look at the frame data. Hell's is -4 on normal block. On instant block it's -9 (IB lets you recover five frames faster, so instead of him being able to move four frames after you he has to wait nine.) Then look at what moves you can use that are below 9 frames of startup. I'm pretty sure you can throw, but it depends on the throw range. Here's the frame data: http://dustloop.com/guides/bbcs/ SD (static difference) shows the recovery on a move, if you don't cancel it into another move. You would need to look at Jin's moves and what character you're trying to stop. A jab will probably always work if it's a move that can be IB punished, but some punishes you could do better with.
  5. So you're saying jumping is good? Because I hear the opposite a lot.
  6. That's the best way to do it :P People always burst and don't let me have the satisfaction :(

  7. Hey. It's this weekend, in Philadelphia. Plenty of people coming. I just went back home (to PA) for Thanksgiving this weekend, so I dunno if I want to go back again (it's a 3 hour drive) but... why the hell not :P I dunno.

  8. Are you going to NEC? I was thinking of going to it. I still use a 360 pad though, even though I own a stick. Which is a problem for these events since they're all PS3s. :P I usually just use my brother's stick or borrow somebody else's, but then I pretty much go in there just to goof around and see everyone play, since playing on a stick for me is like having weights tied around your legs in a race.

  9. Cool. :) Well, I don't play that much anymore, except for friends. I mean, I always played with friends only pretty much (including DL) but in CT I'd play like a few hours every day whereas with CS it's two or three hours out of the week. But I still can play when I'm around.

  10. Hey. May I ask who this is :0

  11. Aw, dang. I was thinking of going.

  12. I got my zoning back on track. Prepare to get blown up.

  13. Hey Omni. Are you going to NEC?

  14. I think we already learned what taking Circ seriously leads to.
  15. It was kind of obvious to me :P
  16. That comeback was pretty awesome. Tech traps, tech traps everywhere. I just saw 8:04
  17. The reason it's usually discouraged is that it creates a new hurdle of a new player to get over. Instead of just learning how to play, they'll have to unlearn everything they picked up from beginner mode on top of it. It doesn't pose a competitive problem, it's just not in their long term interest as far as development goes.
  18. That's because you made a dumb post. Don't make dumb posts, and nobody will gang up on you.
  19. Someone ban him from posting in the gameplay forum. It's not like he needs to post here. He can access the information just fine.
  20. Yeah. :3 Just with folks when they call me on usually.

  21. Yeah it was. lool

  22. Although it might be trolling from what I'm seeing right now in the thread. :P

  23. Well, he plays even more as a zoning character in CS2. >_> Just poorly apparently. It's OK though, I got used to how he is so I enjoy him. :P It's just awkward using him sometimes. I doubt the tier list will stay the same though. It rarely does.
