Enter CS Haku. His up close normals have been nerfed; he's actually WEAK up close. He lost 6A, so he doesn't have a solid way of keeping people out in the air. 6A doesn't gatling into ANYTHING anymore, except 6B, which does no damage and isn't comboable either. So he lost a lot of mixup up close. His counters got nerfed, so there's a lot less reason to be scared when attacking him; they're more of a nuisance now than something that can turn the match around. He has to rely on zoning with j.C and 4C, mostly poking people. The CS average damage being lower overall hurts too. (In CT, he'd get an easy 4k off a throw; now he gets like 2.5k) How different is that, that the tank character now has being up close as his weak spot? Now when you get close to Hakumen, HE's the one that's like, "Damn I have to get out of this."

OK, time to talk about CS Haku and CT Haku. I didn't want to because that means I have to think about it again and I didn't want to. :P Haku, as he was in CT, was originally an up-close tank character. His defense was the Great Wall of China, he had 6A to stuff air approaches, it was great for blockstrings, it let you gatling into other moves, same with his 6B. Much more threatening up close. A lot of his other moves had high priority. He did ridiculously awesome damage, and his counters were real gamechangers. Just getting near Hakumen was basically gambling your match away, and that made him not only scary to have to approach but the kind of character where you're like OH GOD HE'S IN FRONT OF ME WHAT DO I DO NOW when he gets close. And on defense he was basically a ticking time bomb that would blow away half of the opponent's life in one good read. I always thought of him as a Lightning Bruiser.

I can zone.
I was just hoping that there was for once a different answer for CS Hakumen. :P A VAIN HOPE
We haven't played in forever. I heard my brother played you with his Tager a while back. -
Yeah, that's what I end up doing. It just wasn't like, "Aha! THIS IS THE STRATEGY I NEED" and more like, "Damn, that didn't work. THAT didn't work either. Argh, I guess I'll just have to fall back on camping." :P

I don't have a sub lool. I just mean in Haku mirrors :P I do goof around with Jin and pretty much everyone though... a little Ragna, Jin, Lambda and Tager.

Man it's weird, when I play AGAINST people using Haku, I have no idea what's going to happen when they start pressuring me. :P It's like, I can think of all the possible things I usually do or might do after a 2A or something like that, and my mind blows up and I end up psyching myself out.

Well now I feel like trying to out turtle you. :P Nobody can out turtle me! You were actually pretty aggressive I thought. You kept coming at me with those dash tackles. I don't think my fighting style changed. I played pretty much the same way as in CT. Maybe I was afraid of doing anything but turtling early on since I wasn't sure how CS worked or something. Anyway, I'm always up for more games.

Hey Toan. Did the games we play help with Haku experience? How do I play compared to the other Hakus you fought? I saw you against one Haku on a PSN Ranbat on YouTube. I remember having a lot of trouble against you when CS first came out. I didn't do as much stupid stuff this time around... maybe I just got used to CS Haku more.
