  1. Oh, I didn't realize you were right in the middle of some matches, lol. That's cool. We can play whenever, I don't really have a set time for when I play aside from when someone specifically wants to.

  2. Hmm, one of the posts said that there was less untechable time on j.C, meaning you couldn't link another j.C or 5C > 3C anymore (goodbye corner knockdown), but according to this one it looks like we still can. I'm not sure which one is true.
  3. Jesus Christ I think you broke me. I went into training mode and I can't even do combos anymore, wtf.

  4. Yo teach me Litchi IT'S TIME TO FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE
  5. :) Well, I'm sure if you play me enough I'll get more experience with the matchup and give you a harder time. Good luck on those finals, everyone I know is studying their butts off. It feels weird since I'm out of school and work now, so that old school schedule that used to always be running in my head isn't there anymore and I can see everyone else still in it.
  6. Your Litchi plays so differently than Lord Knight's. Good stuff. I can see you've been keeping at it since CS came out.

  7. Oh, and as for your question :P I HAVE A FEW EXCUSES There wasn't anything wrong, really. I just haven't fought Litchi in CS, so it was all new and mind blowing to me. The last time I played Litchi was against you in CT! All her new moves, like that weird dash thing and that overhead that doesn't look like an overhead keep raping me. I was mainly trying to figure out what the hell was going on, and trying to see what kind of things you could do and what kind of things I could do to stop them. Also I kept dropping my combos, but that's what happens when I don't do training mode to warm up. I've found if I don't spend like 30 minutes in training mode before I go into a match I tend to do a lot worse. Also I don't really play CS that much, except randomly with folks I like (like you, but we're never on) so there's that. I used to play CT like four hours a day every day, and with CS I play like ten matches a week. So this should be it for me this week. :P Also, I'm bad. ;o CHOOSE ONE

  8. It means "cross your heart," it's a reverse DP motion. For Tager it means his Spark Bolt charge.
  9. Want to play a few games on XBL? If our connection's good. I want to see how you play.

  10. This is not how you become a member of the community. :8/:
  11. It can just get boring.
  12. Damn. There goes my plan. :P
  13. How much room is there between 2C > 3C? Could they counter or reversal in between?
  14. I don't think Yukikaze is faster. I think the recovery on Lambda's D moves are longer, so she doesn't have time to escape.
  15. The changes wuku listed just blew my mind. So you can Yukikaze against Lambda's D swords and she can't do anything about it? All those moves are air unblockable? Damn. Also it looks like we can get some followup combos on counters after all, at least.
  16. Anyone want to take a crack at translating Haku stuff?
  17. I thought it hit high? I do know basic things about Noel; I used to mess around with her in CT. :P The only blockstring I knew was the one you listed and sometimes throwing in 2D > 236D to get myself out of trouble. :P Yeah, there usually isn't something repeated that often... Are there any specific moves that she has to land to get you into the corner (ie., moves to look out for) or is it pretty much off anything?

  18. Hey Danny, can you give me some typical Noel blockstrings? I want to try doing some in training mode so I can practice blocking them, although I remember a few just from memory. Or is it all just freestyle?

  19. Yeah, I saw how Alz would slowly 2A you, that way he could react to a drive instead of already being committed to something. I definitely noticed how you were playing much differently, and could tell it was because of conditioning. The only question is how he conditioned you since my opponent isn't automatically going to start off in that state; I have to lead them there, and if I can't then they are going to be able to do a lot more. One problem, I suck at IBing. Unless it's Tager, lewl. I really need to record a few matches. :P Right now I tend to counter the 5Ds and 2Ds when I can, but with 5D, which is his slow and uncomboable counter. I bet if I replaced it with j.D (4.5k damage instead of 1.5k) it would change things a bit. Also you were doing pretty good against Alzarath. Anyway, I'll work on implementing your advice.
  20. Yeah, I just have a long ingrained habit of pretty much blocking out everything out rather than trying to mash out of a move, unless I've become very comfortable with fighting the character. There's something satisfying about completely reading the opponent's blockstrings and having them throw everything they have at you and end up flailing uselessly. What I rely on to break pressure is counters instead, but that requires getting used to what they're throwing out. Tell him how I play Luna :P I do need to try and interrupt some moves though, like her 6B. I just don't react fast enough right now. Actually I could probably j.D it... I was punishing 3C more last time we played though. I'm still used to looking out for her CT stuff.
  21. What. :P Well, it's all conditioning. Hakumen can't pressure against mashers either, even though his frame traps are awesome. You have to respect pretty much all his moves. Once you scare them into blocking though then you can start working on them. That's part of why I can't do anything to your Noel. I can't scare you into blocking because you can just D through my attacks if I start going too heavy on frame traps so I have to take it slower.
  22. If someone is going to try and mash you out of your pressure, can't you frame trap them? Unless it's something like Inferno Divider.
  23. I think my offense was better this time around, or at least I got in on you more, but I felt like my defense suffered. I guess it's been too long since I had to block Carl's shenanigans. Do you always go for a j.2C crossup, or is it sometimes a fake crossup? Does it look different? Man I'm pretty sure those were in CT but I'm forgetting everything I knew :psyduck:

  24. The tickets are around $250-$300, or at least were for me, for one way. But it depends on the timing of when you get it. Sometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down but that's about the range it's at. That's not counting the hotel fee though. It's good if you bring a friend or two, or room with some other players, so you can split it. I went with my brother and Keir Tendril and the room came down to around $250 or so per person.
