  1. I'm not concerned. He is top tier until the game comes out and Arakunes figure out some new instant kill combo and Tager ends up on the bottom again. Tager can never be good. :P
  2. Arakune getting his stuff back... Arakune is like a cockroach. No matter how much they try to nerf him, somehow he will end up doing an 8k combo. :P

  4. Also, after TK Tsubaki (or hop) you can link 5C and then go from there with combos.

  6. Yeah, the changes are like, they just rolled some dice and decided to call it a day. But maybe it will all make sense when the game comes out and everyone gets to figure the characters out.

  7. Hmmm, maybe. It's just that if Tager is in that 4C range, he would normally just be blocking and inching his way in. I don't think I've caught Tager just starting to jump with 4C before... I guess we'll see.
  8. Yeah. Especially with Hakumen, it's impossible. :P You need counter combos too, if you want to use counters.

  9. Yeah, Renka. Yup his normal combos got owned. :P 5C is kind of a bad starter now too. Do 2A > 214B(1) > 623AA > falling j.2C > 2C > j.2A > IAD j.2A > j.C instead. Although you could try 5C/5B > 214B(1) > 623AA > etc., and see how that works. I almost never land those moves though in a real match. Also 3C > 2B > 214A > hop 5A > j.A > j.B > j.2A > j.C and throw > 214A > hop 5A > j.A > etc., and throw > 214B(1) > (delay) 623AA > falling j.2C > etc Also there's about a million variations of these in the corner.

  10. 4C has 15 frames of startup. Tager's jump startup is 6 frames. How soon after jumping can you go into barrier? He has plenty of time, it seems. And that's before you count IB'ing. That's just a naked 4C. If he 4C's and you block, he's at -5. You now have 20 frames to jump if he tries it again, before IBing. Although I don't really see the situation happening that often where the air unblockable quality of 4C would come into play, where Tager wouldn't just sit there and block normally anyway.
  11. Nah it's not going to mean anything. That change kind of baffles me. I mean, the most I can think of is, it might hit someone out of their jump startup but even then... it's no different than just getting poked by 4C normally. And using it as an anti air would be just weird... although I've hit people out of low air dashes with it before.
  12. I think there's a difference between his hitbox, for damage, and the "voidbox." We don't have any way to measure that.
  13. 7 stars for... 3334 damage. These changes are terrible. It was said earlier j.2C > 5C > enma combo did 4400, but you're saying it does 3200ish now. Which one is correct?
  14. It's not on purpose... it's just reflex... so they can still do mixup like I'm blocking overheads, lool. Wait, is it a mid in CS too? I don't even know anymore. #_# I always thought it was a mid in CS. On another note they should make Noel's 2D an overhead again, it just doesn't make sense not being one.
  15. I was just playing such a basic Tager that you got thrown off with your more advanced stuff :P B SLEDGE > 720!!!!! That was kind of what was going on with that match against that Mu player for me. Also I noticed I have to really go into training mode and warm up for like 10-20 minutes to be able to play. But usually I just turn on the 360 and go right into a room, then drop combos and shit everywhere.

  17. Spark or anyone, want to drop some knowledge here? This would be a useful matchup to have information on. I see ryoko's information is good... I get conflicting advice though; people say not to get in the air, but, I know that I kind of have to for j.C zoning and ryoko says to do so here as well.

  21. Thanks for all your help when I was still learning CS Haku's ropes. I've got it all down now. Minus matchup experience from not playing everyone as much as CT because of the netcode :P You should see the kind of things people are saying about his counters in the latest loketest thread. IT'S SO EASY TO USE!!!!!

  22. @Dacid: I'm sure Haku will be fine, but the counter change is still Also I doubt the damage will stay where it is now. People will find ways to do more damaging combos like they always do. @Sophisticat: Yeah I'm not sure why people are bothered by j.2C going into a 4400 combo with 4 stars either. I like that it's got a faster startup again though, but at this point I stopped trying to make sense of the changes or care about them. I'm just going to play whatever version of Hakumen they give me and not really think about the details anymore :P
