  2. Couldn't you still jump out of overheads and throws? I mean, they'd probably be slow enough to give you time.
  3. That might be to eliminate 5C > 623AA > f.j2C > 5C > 623AA type combos. Higher opponent + smaller 5C hitbox = whiff EDIT: Looks like they were completely disabled at one point if the last translation is correct.

  6. lol Tager. I like the defensive changes here, they make the game smarter. On the other hand... I liked the fast paced aerial game of BlazBlue too. With this change it seems like it'll be more like "jumping = suicide" like in SF4.
  7. That's what I've been trying to get one of my beginner friends to realize. He hates playing someone more than once since they learn his "tricks," which is what you WANT THEM TO DO. He prefers fighting randoms on ranked so he can steal a win from the element of surprise and not have to worry about them figuring him out. The problem is, if the only reason something you do is because your opponent didn't know about it, and it would fall apart as soon as they do, then it's a bad thing to do.

  9. What's wrong with backdashing? I think half your 360s came from backdash > 360 on me. I always walk right into those.

  10. I usually desperately try to keep as far away from you as possible, but I noticed I actually do pretty well sometimes when I get in your face. I MUST DO THIS MORE Of course the other half of the time I just die instantly :P

  15. Did you guys notice that when she throws swords at the void it lets her cancel into her other swords as if she was comboing? I watch Lambda throw a 5D into the void, then go to IAD over it and eat a 6D...
  16. Yeah, you can't always 4C her 214D either. Sometimes you won't have time from getting up, as the 214D will be already on you. Other times her 5D/4D swords cause enough blockstun on you that by the time you try to 4C the 214D you'll just get CH.

  19. Yeah, there's no trick to save you here. It's just going to be a long hard slog to get through all those swords. You have to be on top of your game with everything and not miss any chance to get in on her.

  21. OK, 5C catches tech rolls, but 2B doesn't when I try it. If I do a 5C in case they roll, and they neutral tech instead, what should I do from there? 5C would kind of reset the situation back to neutral kind of so I'd want to start pressuring them in the corner again... would it be better to cancel into something like Renka or 623AA to move in on them again? HOW DO I KEEP THEM FROM ESCAPING. Whenever I can actually get them to neutral tech and take my ghetto Haku pressure / mixup, I destroy them. I guess they just decided, "Screw it, if I'm going to die anyway I might as well do it trying to escape." I'm just trying to think of a way I can catch tech rolls without explicitly committing to a move that would leave me hung out to dry if they don't tech roll, kind of like Jin and his 5B or 2B, which can catch rolls but is also a good move to throw out in general to continue pressure. Yeah, Haku doesn't have a wake up game, except throwing Hotaru in their face as they get up in case they try to do something. But I'm just trying to stop roll outs, because I was doing well against Lambdas until they started fearlessly rolling out of the corner every single time, and now it's impossible to beat them. :P What I used to do in CT was back off a little, and grab them out of their tech roll. It worked every time. But if they neutral teched, then I actually was far enough away to make it hard to get back in on Nu and it's the same with Lambda, even though they're still close and I'd lose my corner knockdown. I guess I'll start trying that again though. EDIT: Also, I found that 6B also stops tech rolls. Couldn't 2A do that too?
  22. There's a red Haku playing in some of the newer vids posted in the video thread in the general discussion forum. He plays... weird though. Still pretty good. Not sure why he does what he does though.

  25. Yeah, I think that was part of it. Also you kept escaping the corner. That made a big difference I think since if you didn't that would have been the end of the match every time. :v:
