Well to be specific I was thinking of SF2, Hyper Fighting. :P I know they're all so different though, that was one of the things that scared me away from GG back in the day. (That and the only thing I ever heard about it ever was that it was a Smash Bros clone on PS2 so I was like "nah I'll stick to real fighting games like SF" lol) I think I'd like Slayer though. -

Pretty sure that Tager's Volt Charge isn't invincible, but just counts as guarding. So it would be the same as if he blocked it.

So if I wanted to play GG, which character would play most like Chun Li or Hakumen? -
They should just break Haku's arms and legs then give him back his 6A so he can't do anything but lurch towards you and headbutt. Then he'll be balanced.

If you're in a tight blockstring and you have to IB... If they just come charging at you with an attack, then yeah, j.D.

The counters were never unbalanced in the first place. *rages*

6D and 2D got a damage nerf and 5D doesn't combo anymore so you see j.D used more. It's not a matter of j.D being so good but the other counters not being as good anymore. I'd imagine everything isn't that good anymore with Noel so they cling to the last thing they have left. :P They should give her better other things instead of nerfing it...

Well, look at it this way: if Ragna fails, the whole thing is gonna happen over again, so it's not like everything is at stake, per se. She can just keep letting it loop until she gets the outcome she wants. Although, I'm not sure if it's guaranteed that everything loops. I always thought it was possible that everything could just go downhill and the world would be destroyed for good, etc., were it not for Hakumen stepping in every single time and such and all the other events happening the way they did.

^I consider that a nerf. Also I'm pretty sure the active frames weren't increased. They've always been 7 frames. Only 5D's was increased.

Well, it's his FIRST MATCH, so, that means he can pretty much improve on everything. He has to develop some fundamentals and get used to the game before we can really give any real advice. It's like someone who just picked up a violin asking how to play, it's such a broad question we can't even start :P Basic advice though: 1) Be patient and block. You're better off blocking a string of moves and waiting until they mess up, than trying to beat them to the punch. You'll just get hit out of your move and combo'd. 2) Learn your character's moves. Learn the range they hit best at and how long they take, and which ones you get punished for using because they have long recovery. 3) Learn your character's combos so you can get the most damage when you land a hit. All of this will come with experience, especially knowing how and where to block, and when to look for grabs, etc. The best advice we can give now is: play more. Play a lot :P

I didn't know you cared <3 Well, I have a feeling the lines are gonna be huge :P I remember for H3 I didn't get out 'til like 3 AM. I think we're better off waiting til Tuesday though. I'll probably break down and go over to see ------------ wait. There's a Gamestop around here that isn't part of the mall (usually the midnight release is at the gamestop in the mall so it's crowded like crazy). That means there might not be that many people around. WELP Looks like I'm gonna check that place out at midnight :P

I don't get why they're nerfing Haku's counters... I guess they think, since you have to work to get in on him due to j.C and 4C, he shouldn't be that formidable defensively anymore? The 5D change in CS was more a nerf than a buff; sure it lasts longer but who cares, you can't counter off it. It just never made sense to me since you never saw a legion of Hakus destroying people with the D button. Then again half of their changes haven't made sense in the past so :P YO LETS NERF NOEL Terrible. :P

I'm going to pre-order it today I think regardless, in case it somehow gets sold out. One thing I'm definitely NOT doing is online pre-order, never again, after CS :P Usually I just walk into the store and pick it up and it's always worked. I was going to do midnight release originally, but... I have work tomorrow and if I have to stay up til 4 AM to get it then that isn't going to work. And I'm not really losing that much time just getting it the next day. Then again I'm usually up til like 4 AM anyway...

Well, getting a job at age 14 is pretty early! Around that age you could probably do odd jobs too to make money... What was the job?

lol sex ed, worst class ever. Getting a job... I'm a pro at that. :P You just have to start small and not expect to get like a CEO position or something right off the bat, dive right into getting a job whatever it is (at your age) then work your way up. Also dress well, have a nice hair cut, show up on time, and be polite and you'll have no problem. The economy's pretty bad now though. Also once you get older and you start getting jobs you want them to be related to your future career or college major. You'll want internships so you can have an easier time getting a job once you graduate and you'll have experience too.
